Murrayfield Ice Rink is a 3,800-seat multi-purpose arena in the Murrayfield area of Edinburgh, Scotland, adjacent to Murrayfield Stadium. It was built between 1938 and 1939 and is home to the Edinburgh Capitals ice hockey team and a seven-sheet curling rink which was constructed in the 1970s following the closure of Haymarket Ice Rink.

Edinburgh Rugby Stadium, known as the DAM Health Stadium for sponsorship reasons, is a rugby stadium in Edinburgh, Scotland. It is the home of Edinburgh Rugby. The stadium is located next to Murrayfield Stadium, in the Murrayfield area of the city. It has a capacity of 7,800, and was completed on 16 February 2021.

Established by a group of independent distillers in 1885, it is now a joint venture company between Diageo and Edrington Group. It is Edinburgh's last working distillery, widely known as the "NB".

The A8 road runs east–west through the south of the area. Murrayfield is often considered to include the smaller neighbouring areas of Ravelston (to the north) and Roseburn (to the south).

Haymarket TMD is a railway traction maintenance depot situated inside Edinburgh, Scotland, next to Haymarket railway station and Murrayfield Stadium. The depot is operated by ScotRail. The depot code is HA.

Roseburn is a suburb of Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland.The area lies in the west of the city, approximately a 20-minute walk from the city centre, west of Haymarket and close to the Murrayfield area (and Murrayfield Stadium). It is immediately to the south of the A8 road. The Water of Leith flows along one side of Roseburn Park next to the Water of Leith Walkway. Other boundaries to the park are Murrayfield Stadium and Murrayfield Ice Rink. The park is used for football in the winter and cricket in the summer. It has a small play area popular with pre-school and young children. The park is popular with dog walkers. Roseburn Primary School offers education for children from Nursery to Primary 7. The main building is Victorian and has listed building status. Businesses located in Roseburn include bars, restaurants, take aways, groceries, art work, jewellery, flowers, home furnishings, pharmaceutical goods, furniture and hairdressing.

Saughtonhall is a residential neighbourhood in the west of Edinburgh, Scotland, bordering Balgreen directly to the south and south-west, Murrayfield to the north (on the opposite side of Corstorphine Road (A8)), Carrick Knowe golf course to the west (bounded by the route of the Corstorphine Branch railway which is now a section of the pedestrian John Muir Way), and sports facilities (including Murrayfield Stadium, Murrayfield Ice Rink, Edinburgh Rugby Stadium and Roseburn Park cricket ground) on the opposite bank of the Water of Leith and its walkway to the east, connected by several footbridges which now also incorporate flooding defences. It is within the Corstorphine/Murrayfield ward under the City of Edinburgh Council.

Tynecastle Park is a football stadium in the Gorgie area of Edinburgh, which is the home ground of Scottish Professional Football League club Heart of Midlothian (Hearts). It has also hosted Scotland international matches, and been used as a neutral venue for Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup semi-finals. Tynecastle has a seating capacity of 19,852, which makes it the sixth-largest football stadium in Scotland. Hearts have played at the present site of Tynecastle since 1886.

Gorgie East Railway Station (named Gorgie Station until 1952) was a railway station on the Edinburgh Suburban and Southside Junction Railway in Edinburgh, Scotland. It was opened on 1 December 1884 and served the Gorgie area of Edinburgh. Gorgie East station closed in 1962, when passenger rail services were withdrawn from the Edinburgh Suburban line. There is now no trace of the station but the route continues to be used for freight services to this day, so freight trains avoid Edinburgh's main stations of Edinburgh Waverley and Haymarket, and occasionally diverted passenger trains also pass along this line. It was re-opened for one day on 21 May 1969 when a contingent of the Household Cavalry arrived by special trains, using the station.

Murrayfield railway station served the area of Murrayfield, Edinburgh, Scotland from 1879 to 1962 on the Leith Branch.
