Haymarket TMD is a railway traction maintenance depot situated inside Edinburgh, Scotland, next to Haymarket railway station and Murrayfield Stadium. The depot is operated by ScotRail. The depot code is HA.

Tynecastle Park is a football stadium in the Gorgie area of Edinburgh, which is the home ground of Scottish Professional Football League club Heart of Midlothian (Hearts). It has also hosted Scotland international matches, and been used as a neutral venue for Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup semi-finals. Tynecastle has a seating capacity of 19,852, which makes it the sixth-largest football stadium in Scotland. Hearts have played at the present site of Tynecastle since 1886.

Westfield is a neighbourhood of Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. It is north of the A71 road, between the Balgreen, Gorgie and Slateford areas.

Roseburn is a suburb of Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland.The area lies in the west of the city, approximately a 20-minute walk from the city centre, west of Haymarket and close to the Murrayfield area (and Murrayfield Stadium). It is immediately to the south of the A8 road. The Water of Leith flows along one side of Roseburn Park next to the Water of Leith Walkway. Other boundaries to the park are Murrayfield Stadium and Murrayfield Ice Rink. The park is used for football in the winter and cricket in the summer. It has a small play area popular with pre-school and young children. The park is popular with dog walkers. Roseburn Primary School offers education for children from Nursery to Primary 7. The main building is Victorian and has listed building status. Businesses located in Roseburn include bars, restaurants, take aways, groceries, art work, jewellery, flowers, home furnishings, pharmaceutical goods, furniture and hairdressing.

Tynecastle High School is a secondary school in the Gorgie area of south west Edinburgh, Scotland.

The Scottish Rugby Union (SRU; Scottish Gaelic: Aonadh Rugbaidh na h-Alba) is the governing body of rugby union in Scotland. Styled as Scottish Rugby, it is the second oldest Rugby Union, having been founded in 1873. The SRU oversees the national league system, known as the Scottish League Championship, and the Scottish National teams. The SRU is headed by the President (Ian Barr) and Chairman (Colin Grassie), with Mark Dodson acting as the Chief Executive Officer. Dee Bradbury became the first female president of a Tier 1 rugby nation upon her appointment on 4 August 2018.

Gorgie East Railway Station (named Gorgie Station until 1952) was a railway station on the Edinburgh Suburban and Southside Junction Railway in Edinburgh, Scotland. It was opened on 1 December 1884 and served the Gorgie area of Edinburgh. Gorgie East station closed in 1962, when passenger rail services were withdrawn from the Edinburgh Suburban line. There is now no trace of the station but the route continues to be used for freight services to this day, so freight trains avoid Edinburgh's main stations of Edinburgh Waverley and Haymarket, and occasionally diverted passenger trains also pass along this line. It was re-opened for one day on 21 May 1969 when a contingent of the Household Cavalry arrived by special trains, using the station.

LOVE Gorgie Farm, previously Gorgie City Farm, was an urban farm in Gorgie, south-west Edinburgh operated by an education and social care charity named LOVE Learning.

Gorgie ( GOR-gee) is a densely populated area of Edinburgh, Scotland. It is located in the west of the city and borders Murrayfield, Ardmillan and Dalry.

Edinburgh Rugby Stadium, known as the DAM Health Stadium for sponsorship reasons, is a rugby stadium in Edinburgh, Scotland. It is the home of Edinburgh Rugby. The stadium is located next to Murrayfield Stadium, in the Murrayfield area of the city. It has a capacity of 7,800, and was completed on 16 February 2021.

Merchiston railway station was a railway station which served the area of Merchiston in Edinburgh, Scotland, for around eighty years. The station was built by the Caledonian Railway between 1879 and 1883, with the last passenger service in September 1965. The station was demolished shortly afterwards and the track bed has become a footpath. The station was located in the neighbourhood sometimes known as "North Merchiston" but more commonly as Shandon, and typically taken to be part of the area of Polwarth, rather than Merchiston. Merchiston was also served by Craiglockhart railway station to the south-west of the area, on the North British Railway's Edinburgh Suburban and Southside Junction Railway.
