The Yacht Club Tower is a residential skyscraper in the Calidonia district of Panama City, Panama. Built between 2008 and 2012, the tower stands at 196 m (643 ft) tall with 57 floors and is the 24th tallest building in Panama City.

The Destiny Panama Bay (also known as the P.H. White Tower) is a residential skyscraper in the Costa del Este district of Panama City, Panama. Built between 2006 and 2008, the tower stands at 182 m (597 ft) tall with 51 floors and is the 27th tallest building in Panama City.

The White Tower is a residential skyscraper in the Calidonia district of Panama City, Panama. Built between 2008 and 2011, the tower stands 218 m (715 ft) tall with 62 floors, and is the current 16th tallest building in Panama City.

Hospital Santo Tomás (HST) (English: Saint Thomas Hospital), is a public hospital in Panama City. It was founded in 1703.

Santo Tomás is a Panama Metro station on Line 1. Construction of the station began on 16 August 2011 and it was one of the first 11 stations when the metro began operations on 6 April 2014.The station provides access to Hospital Santo Tomas and the Cinta Costera. It has hosted displays of sculptures and photography. In its first year of operations, Santo Tomas was the tenth most used station of the twelve on the network at that time, carrying 8% of the system's users at peak times.

Hospital Nacional (English: National Hospital) is a private hospital in Panama City, Panama. It is located at Avenida Cuba and 38th Street in Bella Vista.

The Miramar Towers are two skyscrapers located in Avenida Balboa and Calle Federico Boyd, Panama City. Once, the hotel and residential tower complex were the tallest buildings in Panama at 168 m (551 ft), with 55 floors. The Miramar Towers generated much controversy locally since their construction has made expansion of Balboa avenue impossible. Other environmental groups also protested the building's blocking of a previously uninterrupted view to the ocean from the steep Federico Boyd boulevard.

The Instituto Conmemorativo Gorgas de Estudios de la Salud (The Gorgas Memorial Institute for Health Studies (GMI)) is a medical research institution that has been dedicated for more than 80 years on investigating diseases in the tropics and preventive medicine.

Torre Balboa also known as Bahia Balboa is a high-rise residential building in the Avenida Balboa district of Panama City, Panama. Completed in 2002, the tower stands at 138 m (453 ft) tall with 33 floors, and is the current 52nd tallest building in Panama City.

The Torres Vista Marina is a residential skyscraper complex in the Avenida Balboa area of Panama City, Panama. Completed between 2006 and 2007, the complex consists of two twin towers (Torre Vista Marina (T1) and Torre Vista del Mar (T2)) standing at 162 m (531 ft) with 44 floors each, currently sharing the position of the 45th tallest buildings in Panama City.

The Panama State, officially known as the Federal State of Panama from 1855 to 1863, and as the Sovereign State of Panama from 1863 until 1866 when it was dissolved, was established as one of the states of the Republic of Gran Colombia established in 1821 after independence from the Spanish Empire and was later part of the Republic of New Granada, the Granadine Confederation, and the United States of Colombia. The state was established on 27 February 1855 and lasted until 1866 when it was replaced by the Department of Panama. In 1903, the territory of the Panama State was achieved independence as the Republic of Panama.

The Isthmus Department, or Department of Panama (Spanish: Departamento de Panamá), was one of the departments of the Republic of Gran Colombia and later of the Republic of Colombia. It was created in 1824 and named after the Isthmus of Panama. It covered the territory of what is now the country of Panama and some coastal territories farther northward along the Caribbean shoreline of present-day Costa Rica and Nicaragua (Mosquito Coast). After the Thousand Days' War and the influence of the United States to build the Panama Canal the former Department of Gran Colombia separated from Colombia and became the Republic of Panama.
