Stockerau

Spillern is a town in the district of Korneuburg in the Austrian state of Lower Austria.

Stockerau Airfield (German: Flugplatz Stockerau, ICAO: LOAU) is a private use aerodrome located 3 kilometres (2 mi) northwest of Stockerau, Lower Austria, Austria. The airport is the base of the annual CSLI Air Day for the handicapped.

The Battle of Leitzersdorf was a battle between the Holy Roman Empire and the Kingdom of Hungary in 1484. Fuelled by the earlier conflicts of Matthias Corvinus and Frederick III, Holy Roman Emperor it marked the end of anti-Ottoman preparations and initiations of a holy war. It was the only open field battle of the Austro-Hungarian War, and the defeat meant – in long terms – the loss of the Archduchy of Austria for the Holy Roman Empire.

Maria Gugging is a suburb of the town of Klosterneuburg in Austria.It is the site of the former Maria Gugging Psychiatric Clinic, founded in 1889, which is now an art institute known as Gugging.Nowadays, Maria Gugging hosts the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA) research institute.

The Maria Gugging Psychiatric Clinic was a psychiatric institution located in the suburb of Maria Gugging on the outskirts of Vienna, Austria. During the Nazi era hundreds of mental patients were murdered or abused at Gugging as part of the Nazi Aktion T4 program. In the post-war era, several of its patients became known for their Outsider Art and are referred to as the Gugging Artists. Today, several artists live in a dedicated art center at the former clinic site, known as the Art Brut Center Gugging (or just Gugging) which also includes the Gugging Museum and the Gugging Gallery.

Muckendorf-Wipfing is a municipality in the district of Tulln in the Austrian state of Lower Austria. On the south bank of the Danube, it is around 20 km northwest of Vienna.
