Tookes House

The Taylor House is a historic home in Tallahassee, Florida. The home was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places on April 6, 2015. The Taylor House Museum, located at 442 West Georgia Street, was also added to the Tallahassee-Leon County Register of Historic Places on October 26, 2011. On July 27, 2012, the Florida Department of State designated the home a Florida Heritage Site.

Old City Cemetery is a historic site in Tallahassee, Florida, the state capital. It was established in 1829 by the Territorial Legislative Council, and was acquired by the city in 1840. Burials for white people were segregated with separate areas and books for "colored" people.Cast iron fences surround the property. A historical marker commemorates its history. The Florida Archives have photos of the cemetery. Guided walking tours have been held.

Lincoln High School, also known as Lincoln Academy, was a high school for African Americans in Tallahassee, Florida, United States. It is commonly referred to as "Historic Lincoln High School" or "Old Lincoln". There is no connection with Leon County's current (and distant) Lincoln High School other than name.

The organization's stated mission is "to keep the citizens of Florida informed about their government and to shape our state’s future through the advancement of practical free-market ideas on public policy issues."

The Columns (also known as The William "Money" Williams Mansion) is a historic home in Tallahassee, Florida. It was built around 1830. It is located at 100 North Duval Street. On May 21, 1975, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The building is the present home of the James Madison Institute. It is a former home of Benjamin Chaires.

The Park Avenue Historic District is a U.S. historic district (designated as such on October 24, 1979) located in Tallahassee, Florida. The district runs along Park Avenue and Call Street. It contains 27 historic buildings.

The Tallahassee Female Academy (also known as the Leon Female Academy) was one of the predecessor institutions of Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. The school started in 1843 as the Misses Bates School and was perhaps the most stable educational institution in Tallahassee until the West Florida Seminary officially began operations in 1857. They were remedies for the fact that at the time there were no public high schools in Florida. Male and female students studied separately. A group of Tallahassee citizens organized as a board of trustees for the academy conducted operations until the school was absorbed by the West Florida Seminary in 1858. The school offered an unusually complete education for the time.

First Presbyterian Church is an historic church in Tallahassee, Florida. It is located at 102 North Adams Street. The congregation was first organized on November 4, 1832, and the church building was built between 1835 and 1838, which makes it the oldest church in Tallahassee and the oldest building in Florida that's still being used for its original purpose. The building was designed to serve as a sanctuary for women and children during American Indian attacks. Rifle slots are built into the foundation but are not visible from outside. On September 9, 1974, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.Today, there are still services every Sunday at 11:00 A.M.There are estimated to be several hundred members of the congregation, with average attendance of just over two hundred persons. The congregation is part of the Presbyterian Church (USA), and is known for having and maintaining a progressive theological and social perspective through the years. Since 2008, First Presbyterian Church has been affiliated with The Covenant Network of Presbyterians, and supports the ordination of all qualified persons into both lay and ordained ministry, regardless of sexual orientation. For the past several years, First Presbyterian Church has been a sponsor of Pridefest. In 2009, the "Light from Light" campaign was born. As a part of this program, solar panels were added to the building, making First Presbyterian one of only a few churches nationwide to generate a portion of its own electricity. As of 2010, First Presbyterian Church was home to the second largest solar panel array in Leon County.

The Florida Governor's Mansion (also called The People's House of Florida) is a historic U.S. residence in Tallahassee, Florida and the official residence of the governor of Florida. On July 20, 2006, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

The Florida State University College of Music, located in Tallahassee, Florida, is one of sixteen colleges comprising Florida State University. The college houses two Grammy winners, a former concertmaster of the New York Philharmonic, a Pulitzer Prize-winning composer, a former leading tenor of the Metropolitan Opera, and the world's leading scholar in music therapy. As the third-largest music program in higher education, the college's comprehensive curricula embrace all traditional areas of music and world music study from the baccalaureate to the doctoral level.

St. John's Episcopal Church is an historic church in Tallahassee, Florida. It is located at 211 North Monroe Street. On August 10, 1978, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The church body was first constituted in 1829. Services were held in the old Leon County court house on Monroe Street from 1829 to 1837. From 1837 to 1879 services were held in first church building at the same site. This building was consecrated in 1838, but eventually burned down in 1879. Services resumed in the court house, which also eventually burned down, and then in the capitol building, during the erection of present Gothic style, red brick church, erected in 1880 and dedicated in 1888. This building still stands, with art glass and memorial glass windows, pipe organ, bronze memorial tablet, altar service, bronze memorial tablet, altar service, carved lectern, prie-dieu, carillon. The church owns its rectory.
