The Central Bank of the Russian Federation (Russian: Центральный банк Российской Федерации, romanized: Tsentraljnyy bank Rossiyskoy Federatsii), also known as the Bank of Russia (Russian: Банк России, romanized: Bank Rossii), is the central bank of the Russian Federation, originally founded in 1860 as the State Bank of the Russian Empire. It is headquartered on Neglinnaya Street in Moscow. Its functions are described in the Constitution of Russia (Article 75) and in federal law.
