Plosna

Ponikve is a village in Primorje-Gorski Kotar, western Croatia. Administratively a part of the town of Bakar, it is located just to the south of Plosna and 2 km to the north of Škrljevo. As of 2021, it had a population of 44.

Bakar (Italian: Buccari; Hungarian: Szádrév) is a town in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County in western Croatia. The population of the town was 8,279 according to the 2011 Croatian census, including 1,473 in the titular settlement. Ninety percent of the population declared themselves Croats by ethnicity. The largest ethnic minority are the Serbs with 2.91% of the population. The old part of Bakar is situated on a hill overlooking the Bay of Bakar. Bakar is the Croatian word for "copper". Bakar is a port for bulk cargo and used to be known for its industrial complex that included a coke factory, which produced a considerable amount of pollution. Bakar's coke factory was closed in 1995 and the area's pollution has subsided significantly. The historical core of Bakar was registered as a cultural monument in 1968.

Škrljevo is a village in Primorje, Croatia, located north of Bakar. The population is 1,344 (census 2011). Škrljevo was mentioned by name for the first time during the reign of Petar Zrinski, in a document from 1667. Near the railway station are the remains of the church of St. Ambroza, demolished in 1907.

The Bakar mockery (Italian Beffa di Buccari), or Bakar raid, was a raid of the Italian Navy (Regia Marina) in the last year of World War I. Whilst it had little material effect on the war at sea, it was a particularly bold venture which had a welcome effect on Italian morale, which was at a low ebb following the defeat at Caporetto a few months prior.

Sveti Kuzam is a village located between Bakar and Rijeka in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, Croatia. The village is administered as a part of the City of Rijeka. The village was recorded on the 2011 Croatian census as a settlement named "Bakar" with a population of 240. The 2006 law on administrative divisions mentions no other settlement within the City of Rijeka. On 27 February 2014, Rijeka city council passed a decision to annex the settlement (named "Bakar-dio (Sv. Kuzam")) to the settlement of Rijeka.

Krasica is a village in Primorje, Croatia, located northeast of Bakar. The population is 1,353 (census 2011). Krasica is known for masquerade, a recognizable custom of these areas.

Grobničko Polje Airport (Croatian: Zračna luka Grobničko Polje) (ICAO: LDRG) is an airport serving Grobnik, a small locality near Rijeka, Croatia.

Automotodrom Grobnik is a 4.168 km (2.590 mi) motorsport race track located in Čavle, 10 km (6.2 mi) north of Rijeka, Croatia. The circuit was built in 15 months and was opened in 14 September 1978. From 1978 to 1990, it hosted the Yugoslavian motorcycle Grand Prix of MotoGP. The circuit was renovated between December 2017 and April 2018.Currently, among other competitions, the automotodrom hosts the Croatia Prix, which is a valid race for the FIA CEZ Formula 3 Championship. In 2020, Rijeka also hosted NASCAR Whelen Euro Series rounds as a late replacement for Autodrom Most, whose round was cancelled late in the season due to COVID-19 restrictions. It has featured on the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series calendar also in 2021 and 2022, and it will feature on the 2023 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series as a non-championship all star endurance race.

The Yugoslav motorcycle Grand Prix was a motorcycling event forming part of the Grand Prix motorcycle racing season from 1969 to 1990.

Kostrena (Italian: Costrena) is a Croatian municipality east of Rijeka on the Kvarner Bay. It is famous for its beaches and a long tradition of seafaring and seamanship. Because of its rocky beaches and a walkway that goes along the shoreline, it is very popular for recreation and sports. A scenic hill walk called Trim-staza is located on the northeast side of Kostrena. There have been some archeological excavations in Kostrena, discovering ruins from the Roman times. Lately, urban development has been increasing. Kostrena is also an industrialized suburb of Rijeka. An oil refinery and an oil power plant are located at Urinj and a shipyard Viktor Lenac is located in the bay of Martinšćica.
