Elmina Rainbow Bridge (Malay: Jambatan Pelangi Elmina) is the rainbow pedestrian bridge in the City of Elmina, Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. It has two bridges along the Persiaran Dillena and is maintained by Sime Darby Property. In addition, the rainbow bridge about one km (0.62 mi) away from the Elmina Central Park, the rainbow colours and unique architecture has attracted countless visitors to take pictures. In addition, the area is surrounded by greenery, and it has also become a picnic spot for picnic. In fact, the rainbow bridge is a sidewalk built on both sides of the road, embellishing the monotonous sidewalk, and playing a finishing touch.

Denai Alam is a township located approximately 10 km north of the Shah Alam city centre alongside the Guthrie Corridor Expressway and is a part of Mukim Bukit Raja in Petaling District. The township was developed by Sime Darby Property, the property development arm of the Malaysian conglomerate, Sime Darby Berhad. The 920 acres (3.7 km2) township is planned based on the “Denai” concept which is 4.8 km of landscaped footpaths for pedestrians and non-motorised vehicles. The Denai concept was inspired by traditional Malay kampong communal living and a low-density development of 8 units per acre. The Denai Alam development was awarded the 2003 Planning Innovation Award by the Malaysian Institute of Planners.

City of Elmina is a township in Sungai Buloh, Selangor, Malaysia. Formerly known as Elmina Estate owned by Guthrie Berhad (now Sime Darby), it is later turned into a township which is developed by Sime Darby Properties.

Malaysian Airline System Flight 684 was a scheduled international passenger flight of Malaysian Airline System (now Malaysia Airlines) from Singapore Changi Airport in Singapore to Subang International Airport, in Subang (near Kuala Lumpur), Malaysia. On 18 December 1983, the Airbus A300B4-120 operating the flight crashed 2 km (1.2 mi; 1.1 nmi) short of the runway while landing at Subang International Airport. There were no fatalities among the 247 passengers and crew.

Sungai Buloh, or Sungei Buloh, is a town, a mukim (commune) and a parliamentary constituency in the northern part of Petaling region, Selangor, Malaysia. The name itself means bamboo river in the Malay language. It is located 16 km NW of downtown Kuala Lumpur and 8 km north of the Subang Airport, along the Kuala Selangor highway. Bordering Damansara, Kepong, Kuang and Kuala Selangor, Sungai Buloh is notable for its colonial-era leper colony, one of the largest in the country.

Rubber Research Institute Ground is a cricket ground in located at the Rubber Research Institute of Malaysia Research Station at Jalan Sungai Buloh near Kota Damansara, Selangor, Malaysia. The first recorded match held on the ground came in 1993 when Malaysia played Singapore in the Saudara Cup.In 1997, the ground held ten matches in the ICC Trophy. The following year it held three List A matches as part of the cricket competition at the 1998 Commonwealth Games. These matches saw Kenya play Pakistan, Barbados play Northern Ireland, and Kenya play Scotland.

Alam Budiman is a township located at Section U10 Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. It is roughly halfway between Central part of Shah Alam, and Kapar, Klang. Alam Budiman also borders Meru to the west and Setia Alam to the southwest. It is situated near the new UiTM Puncak Perdana campus. Alam Budiman is connected by Persiaran Mokhtar Dahari B49 to the Guthrie Corridor Expressway Guthrie Corridor Expressway, which is a shortcut to Shah Alam from Rawang. Adjacent townships include Puncak Perdana, Sunway Alam Suria, and Cahaya SPK.

Puncak Perdana is a main township in the northern part of Shah Alam municipal area in Selangor, Malaysia. The township was built on a 240-hectare site at Bukit Cerakah. It is located halfway between Meru and the Subang Airport, and is also adjacent to Setia Alam. The original developer of the township was Central Challenger (M) Sdn Bhd, owned by Puncak Niaga and was its only project at launch in October 1996. It was built as a three-phase project and with the construction for the first phase began in November 1996. It was expected to become a "multimedia city" similar to Putrajaya.

The Bright Sparklers Fireworks fire occurred in Sungai Buloh, Selangor, Malaysia on 7 May 1991. The Bright Sparklers Fireworks Factory in Sungai Buloh, Selangor caught fire and caused a huge explosion. Twenty six people were killed and over a hundred people were injured in the disaster. The explosion was strong enough to rip the roofs of some local houses, and ended up damaging over 200 residential properties.

Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (Malay: Lapangan Terbang Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah), (formerly Subang International Airport/Kuala Lumpur International Airport), often called Subang Airport or Subang Skypark, is an airport located in Subang, Petaling District, Selangor, Malaysia. Subang International Airport served as Kuala Lumpur's main airport from 1965 to 1998, before the Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Sepang was opened. Although plans existed to convert the airport into a low-cost carrier base, the change was opposed by Subang Jaya residents. The airport was repurposed to serve general aviation as well as turboprop domestic and international flights. In 1996, the airport was renamed after Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Al-Haj (Salahuddin of Selangor), the eleventh Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia and eighth Sultan of Selangor. Subang Airport is currently the base for Firefly and Malindo Air commercial turboprop services. Raya Airways is the only other non-passenger non-turbo prop aircraft landing and utilising Subang Airport Terminal 2. While heavily opposed by Ara Damansara residents of the noise of the jet engines, Raya Airways still operates out of SZB servicing DHL and other local hubs.

RMAF Subang (Malay: TUDM Subang) (ICAO: WMSA) is an air force base operated by the Royal Malaysian Air Force (Malay: Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia). It is located on the edge of Shah Alam, a town in Selangor in Peninsular Malaysia and shares runway facilities with the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport.

Terminal Skypark Komuter station is a newly completed KTM Komuter limited express station located in Subang, Selangor, Malaysia. It was opened on 1 May 2018. The station serves the Subang Skypark Terminal (Terminal 3) of the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, providing the airport with a rail connection to Kuala Lumpur and the rest of Klang Valley. The station is the terminus of the 10 Skypark Link, which shares tracks with the Port Klang Line between KL Sentral station and Subang Jaya station before branching off towards the airport.
