Lake Walter E. Long (also known as Decker Lake) is a power plant cooling reservoir on Decker Creek in Austin, Texas. The reservoir was officially impounded in 1967 and serves to provide water for turbines used in the production of electricity from petroleum-based fuels. The dam and the lake are managed by the City of Austin. Surrounding Lake Walter E. Long is the city of Austin's Lake Walter E. Long Metropolitan Park, a popular recreational destination.

The Webberville Solar Farm, is a 35 MWp (30 MWAC) photovoltaic array in located in Webberville, Texas, only about 6 miles east of the Tesla Gigafactory 5. It has 127,728 Trina Solar solar panels mounted on single-axis trackers, covers an area of 380 acres (150 ha), and was built at a cost of $250 million. It is expected to generate 61 GWh in the first year of operation, and 1.4 billion kWh over its 25 year life. Operation began on December 20, 2011, with a ribbon cutting by Austin mayor Lee Leffingwell on January 6, 2012.The project was constructed by RES Americas, who will operate the plant for five years. In 2012, SunEdison sold the plant to MetLife and Longsol Holdings, but will operate the plant for 20 years upon the expiration of the responsibilities of RES Americas. Gigafactory Texas (also known as Giga Texas, Giga Austin, or Gigafactory 5) is an automotive manufacturing facility in Austin, Texas built by Tesla, Inc. Construction began in July 2020, limited production of Model Y began before the end of 2021, and initial deliveries of vehicles built at the factory took place at an opening party called “Cyber Rodeo” on April 7, 2022.The factory produces Model Y cars for the Eastern United States and is also planned to be the main factory for the Cybertruck and the company's next-generation vehicle. It also serves as the site of Tesla's corporate headquarters. Tesla employs over 20,000 people at the factory and expects to eventually have a staff of 60,000 as production ramps up. It is the country's second biggest factory by size as well as the second-largest building by volume in the world after the Boeing Everett Factory.

NLand Surf Park is an inland surfing destination near Austin, Texas, located ten minutes from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport at 4836 East Highway 71, Del Valle, Texas 78617. The park offers surfing sessions, lessons, clinics, or group surfing for first-time, beginner, intermediate, and advanced surfers. In addition to the 14-acre surf lagoon and surrounding land, the park includes a surf shop and a restaurant (Blue Prairie), and a craft brewery (NLand Brewing Company).NLand's surf lagoon is the largest man-made surf lagoon in North America. Founder Doug Coors partnered with Spanish engineering firm Wavegarden to design and build the lagoon, which offers six-foot-high waves as well as gentler waves for surfing and bodyboarding. NLand's waves provide rides of up to 35 seconds and surfers have the opportunity to catch a new wave every two minutes.On January 8, 2019, the World Surf League purchased NLand.

KLBJ (590 AM) is a commercial radio station in Austin, Texas, airing a news/talk radio format. It is owned by Sinclair Telecable Inc. (not related to television broadcaster Sinclair Broadcast Group) and operated under the name Waterloo Media. It was once owned by the family of President Lyndon Baines Johnson, and still carries his initials in its call letters. It is Central Texas' primary entry point station for the Emergency Alert System. The station has studios and offices along Interstate 35 in Austin. Its transmitter site is located near the Colorado River, off Platt Lane, in Travis County. KLBJ operates with 5,000 watts by day. At night, to avoid interfering with other stations on AM 590 it reduces power to 1,000 watts and uses a directional antenna. It also simulcasts its programming on FM translator station K259AJ at 99.7 MHz.

The Luedecke Arena is a 6,400-seat multi-purpose arena on the grounds of the Travis County Exposition Center in Austin, Texas. Built in 1983, the arena is home to the Star of Texas Fair & Rodeo, the Republic of Texas Biker Rally and the Austin Power indoor soccer team. The arena was formerly home to the Austin Ice Bats ice hockey team from 1996 to 2006. It was also home to four indoor football teams: the Texas Terminators of the IPFL in 1999, the Austin Knights/Rockers in 2002 and 2003, the Austin Turfcats in 2009 and 2010, and the Austin Wild in 2018 and 2019. Depending on configuration, the arena floor can be configured to seat up to an additional 3,000 for a variety of events.

Walnut Creek is a 23-mile (37 km) long tributary stream of the Colorado River in Texas. It flows from north to south, crossing the Edwards Plateau on the western side of Austin, down to the Blackland Prairie on the eastern side of the city where it then drains into the Colorado River downstream of Longhorn Dam. The stream's upper region flows over limestone, while the southern stretch passes through deeper clay soils and hardwood forest. Walnut Creek's watershed, spanning 36,000 acres (15,000 ha), is the largest in Central Austin.The creek can be accessed at several local parks, most notably Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park and Balcones District Park.

Del Valle High School is a public high school located in the Del Valle community in unincorporated Travis County, Texas, United States and is part of the Del Valle Independent School District. The high school serves the communities of Austin, Creedmoor, Garfield, Mustang Ridge, Pilot Knob, Elroy, Webberville, and Hornsby Bend. It is affiliated with Austin Community College.It was given a "recognized" rating by TEA (Texas Education Agency) for the 2008-2009 school year.

Manor ( MAY-nər) is a city in Travis County, Texas, United States. Manor is located 12 miles northeast of Austin and is part of the Austin-Round Rock metropolitan area. The population was 13,652 at the 2020 census. Manor is one of the faster-growing suburbs of Austin. The city was the seventh fastest growing suburb in America in 2018 by Realtor.com and the 17th best small suburb to live in by U.S. News and World Report in 2019.
