Communion Restaurant and Bar, or simply Communion, is a restaurant in Central District, Seattle, in the U.S. state of Washington.

Feed Co. Burgers is a restaurant in Seattle's Central District, in the U.S. state of Washington. Previously a small chain of restaurants, the business originally operated in Redmond and has also operated in the Green Lake neighborhood. The current restaurant opened in October 2016, and the Redmond location closed in 2018. Feed Co. has garnered a positive reception and has been featured on the Food Network.

Uncle Ike's Pot Shop is an establishment in Seattle, Washington, licensed by the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board to sell cannabis to the public. It opened on September 30, 2014 and was the second cannabis retailer in Seattle, after Cannabis City. As of 2016 it led the state of Washington in cannabis retail sales at over $1 million per month. The proprietor is Ian Karl Eisenberg, aka "Uncle Ike". The business is both praised for being the first to inform consumers about pesticides in their product, and criticized for contributing to gentrification of the neighborhood it is located in, Seattle's Central District. When it opened, the shop was said to be "built like a fortress" with security provided by a company owned and staffed by ex-military service members.

Madison Valley is a neighborhood in Seattle located east of Capitol Hill; west of Washington Park; south of Montlake; and north of Madrona. According to the Madison Valley Community Council, the neighborhood is "bounded to the north by East Helen Street to Lake Washington Blvd E, to the west by 23rd Avenue East to E Denny Way, to the east by Lake Washington Boulevard to 36th Ave E then 36th Ave E south to E Denny Way, and to the south by East Denny Way."

The Seattle Film Institute (SFI) is a private, for-profit film school in Seattle, Washington. Founded in 1994, SFI offers part-time classes, bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, and certificate programs in film and digital video production.

Ezell's Famous Chicken is a Seattle fast food restaurant. The first restaurant was opened on February 3, 1984, in Seattle's Central District neighborhood, near Garfield High School. The restaurant chain has 12 other locations in the Puget Sound region, including a location on the Microsoft campus in Redmond that opened in 2006. In 2015, the chain opened its Spokane location, its first restaurant outside of Western Washington. The first international location for Ezell's opened in June 2015, in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The Sharjah location has since closed. Ezell's was made famous when talk show host Oprah Winfrey called it her favorite fried chicken. It is also said she has the chicken flown to her in Chicago when she has a craving.

Crush was a restaurant in Seattle, in the U.S. state of Washington. It operated from 2005 to 2015. The restaurant served American cuisine such as braised short ribs and seared scallops with baby leeks and porcini.

Fire Station No. 23 is a former fire station located in the Central District of Seattle, Washington listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was remodelled as the Cherry Hill Community Center in 1970, and served as the headquarters of Centerstone (formerly the Central Area Motivational Program, or CAMP).

The Central Area, commonly called the Central District or The CD, is a mostly residential district in Seattle located east of downtown and First Hill (12th Avenue and Rainier Avenue); west of Madrona, Leschi and Mt. Baker; south of Capitol Hill, and north of Rainier Valley. Historically, the Central District has been one of Seattle's most racially and ethnically diverse neighborhoods, and was once the center of Seattle's black community and a major hub of African-American businesses.

Fat's Chicken and Waffles is a primarily Southern and soul food restaurant in Seattle's Central District, in the U.S. state of Washington. Marcus Lalario opened the restaurant in 2015, in a space which previously housed Catfish Corner. Erika White later became a co-owner. The menu has included chicken and waffles, fried okra, shrimp and grits, red beans and rice, collard greens, cornbread, fried green tomatoes, and macaroni and cheese, as well as biscuits and gravy and eggs Benedict for brunch. Fat's has garnered a positive reception, especially for its fried chicken, and is considered one of the city's best Southern and brunch eateries. The exterior features a mural by James Crespinel depicting Martin Luther King Jr., which was originally painted in 1995 and later restored by the artist twice.

KZJO (channel 22) is a television station in Seattle, Washington, United States, broadcasting the MyNetworkTV programming service. It is owned and operated by Fox Television Stations alongside Tacoma-licensed Fox outlet KCPQ (channel 13). Both stations share studios on Westlake Avenue in Seattle's Westlake neighborhood, while KZJO's transmitter is located near the Capitol Hill section of Seattle. The station operates two UHF translators, and KZJO rebroadcasts KCPQ's programming on its second digital subchannel in high definition to provide that station to areas in the eastern portion of the Seattle market that receive weak signal coverage from KCPQ's Bremerton transmitter.

The Hamlin Robinson School is an independent school in Seattle offering a specialized program specifically for students with dyslexia and related language difficulties. The school was founded in 1983.
