Crush was a restaurant in Seattle, in the U.S. state of Washington. It operated from 2005 to 2015. The restaurant served American cuisine such as braised short ribs and seared scallops with baby leeks and porcini.

Madison Valley is a neighborhood in Seattle located east of Capitol Hill; west of Washington Park; south of Montlake; and north of Madrona. According to the Madison Valley Community Council, the neighborhood is "bounded to the north by East Helen Street to Lake Washington Blvd E, to the west by 23rd Avenue East to E Denny Way, to the east by Lake Washington Boulevard to 36th Ave E then 36th Ave E south to E Denny Way, and to the south by East Denny Way."

Uncle Ike's Pot Shop is an establishment in Seattle, Washington, licensed by the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board to sell cannabis to the public. It opened on September 30, 2014 and was the second cannabis retailer in Seattle, after Cannabis City. As of 2016 it led the state of Washington in cannabis retail sales at over $1 million per month. The proprietor is Ian Karl Eisenberg, aka "Uncle Ike". The business is both praised for being the first to inform consumers about pesticides in their product, and criticized for contributing to gentrification of the neighborhood it is located in, Seattle's Central District. When it opened, the shop was said to be "built like a fortress" with security provided by a company owned and staffed by ex-military service members.

Communion Restaurant and Bar, or simply Communion, is a restaurant in Central District, Seattle, in the U.S. state of Washington.

Raised Doughnuts and Cakes is a bakery and doughnut shop in Seattle's Central District, in the U.S. state of Washington. Baker and owner Mi Kim launched the business as a pop-up in 2017, with her business partner I-Miun Liu. Raised relocated to a brick and mortar shop in mid 2018, and has since moved to the Midtown Square development.

Feed Co. Burgers is a restaurant in Seattle's Central District, in the U.S. state of Washington. Previously a small chain of restaurants, the business originally operated in Redmond and has also operated in the Green Lake neighborhood. The current restaurant opened in October 2016, and the Redmond location closed in 2018. Feed Co. has garnered a positive reception and has been featured on the Food Network.

The Nova Project, also simply known as Nova, is a small public alternative high school in Seattle, Washington, in the Seattle Public School District. Nova is a social justice oriented school that embraces differences and self-expression. Its aim is to be a "democratically governed learning community of broadly educated, creative, and independent thinkers who work collaboratively and demonstrate a high degree of individual responsibility." There are no grades or tests. Students receive credit based on the effort and competencies the student demonstrates. There is no formal attendance at Nova however students are strongly encouraged to contact their coordinator if you will be absent. The Nova community wants students and staff to attend classes and events because they want to be there and feel as though what they are learning and contributing is worth while.

KZJO (channel 22) is a television station in Seattle, Washington, United States, broadcasting the MyNetworkTV programming service. It is owned and operated by Fox Television Stations alongside Tacoma-licensed Fox outlet KCPQ (channel 13). Both stations share studios on Westlake Avenue in Seattle's Westlake neighborhood, while KZJO's transmitter is located near the Capitol Hill section of Seattle. The station operates two UHF translators, and KZJO rebroadcasts KCPQ's programming on its second digital subchannel in high definition to provide that station to areas in the eastern portion of the Seattle market that receive weak signal coverage from KCPQ's Bremerton transmitter.

The Capitol Hill massacre was a mass murder committed by 28-year-old Kyle Aaron Huff in the southeast part of Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood. On the morning of March 25, 2006, Huff entered a rave after-party and opened fire, killing six and wounding two. He then killed himself as he was being confronted by police on the front porch of 2112 E. Republican Street.

Historically, Renton Hill was a neighborhood of Seattle, Washington, United States. Centered roughly at 18th Avenue and Madison Street, it was roughly the southern part of today's Capitol Hill plus a large adjacent section south of Madison Street. It was named after lumberman and merchant Captain William Renton (1818-1891) and replaced the earlier name of Second Hill.The Renton Hill Community Improvement Club was the city's first community club, organized in 1901 for public improvements such as water, sidewalks, lighting, and beautification. Along with the Capitol Hill Community Club, the club reorganized in 1929 to exclude racial minorities, using a restrictive covenant. This was in reaction to encroaching African American population from the east, Asian from the south, and urban downtown from the west.The name Renton Hill has fallen into disuse within Seattle, possibly to avoid confusion with a neighborhood in nearby Renton, WA, also named Renton Hill. The portion of Renton Hill north of Madison Street has been subsumed into Capitol Hill while the portion south of it is now commonly referred to as Cherry Hill.

KCTS-TV (channel 9) is a PBS member television station in Seattle, Washington, United States, owned by Cascade Public Media. Its studios are located at the northeast corner of Seattle Center adjacent to the Space Needle, and its transmitter is located on Capitol Hill in Seattle. KCTS-TV is the primary PBS member station for the Seattle–Tacoma market alongside Tacoma-licensed KBTC-TV (channel 28), owned by Bates Technical College; through PBS' Program Differentiation Plan, KCTS-TV carries the majority (75%) of the network's programs, with KBTC-TV carrying the remaining 25%. Originally owned and operated by the University of Washington, KCTS-TV became a community licensee in 1987. The station's ownership merged with Crosscut.com to form Cascade Public Media in 2016.KYVE (virtual channel 47, UHF digital channel 21) in Yakima operates as a semi-satellite of KCTS-TV, serving as the PBS member station for the western portion of the Yakima–Tri-Cities market. KYVE's transmitter is located on Ahtanum Ridge.

KUOW-FM (94.9 MHz) is a National Public Radio member station in Seattle, Washington. It is the largest of the three full-fledged NPR member stations in the Seattle and Tacoma media market, with two Tacoma-based stations, KNKX and KVTI being the others. It is a service of the University of Washington, but is operated by KUOW Puget Sound Public Radio, a nonprofit community organization. Studios are located on University Way in Seattle's University District, while the transmitter is on Capitol Hill.
