Scotts Mills is a city in Marion County, Oregon, United States. The population was 419 at the 2020 census. It is 2 miles (3 km) south of Marquam and Oregon Route 213, between Silverton and Molalla. Scotts Mills is part of the Salem Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is near the site of the 1993 Scotts Mills earthquake.

The Miller Cemetery Church near Silverton, Oregon was built in 1882. It is a rare example in Oregon of a "burying church". It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

Yoder is an unincorporated community in Clackamas County, Oregon, United States. The name "Yoder" comes from the Mennonites who settled in the area. The community is best known as a filming location for Nowhere Man.Yoder is located on South Kropf Road, just north of South Schneider Road and about one mile south of Highway 211, where Kropf Road and 211 form Hamrick's Corner. Canby is to the north and Marquam is to the south. The Yoder Mill, a sawmill built in 1889, has been burned down and rebuilt a total of three times. The Yoder Store, an old-style general store, was built in 1914. The Yoder School was a small, wooden school that was built in 1923 and used until 1963. The building still stands. South Clackamas Community Church has met at the old Yoder School since the mid-1990s and even ran a private Christian School at the location for a few years.The former Willamette Valley Southern Railway ran through Yoder, linking Oregon City and Mt. Angel.

Saint Benedict is the name of the post office at Mount Angel Abbey in Marion County, Oregon, United States. When it moved from Gervais to the town of Mt. Angel in 1884, the postal service would not allow the abbey to establish its own post office as it was less than a mile from the Mount Angel post office. A new abbey was completed on the top of nearby Mount Angel butte in 1903, and Saint Benedict post office was established there in 1914. Mount Angel Abbey was originally named Saint Benedict's Abbey, which in turn was named for Benedict of Nursia, the founder of the Order of Saint Benedict. The ZIP code of the post office is 97373.

Mount Angel Abbey is a Catholic monastery of Benedictine monks located in Saint Benedict, Oregon, northeast of Salem, it was established 142 years ago in 1882 from Engelberg Abbey, in Switzerland. The abbey, located on the top of Mount Angel, a 485-foot-high butte (148 m), has its own post office separate from the city of Mt. Angel. As of 2021, the abbey is home to approximately 51 monks.

Rock Creek Methodist Church is a historic Methodist church building in Needy, Oregon near Canby, Oregon. It was built in 1858 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.It was deemed notable as one of few remaining circuit church buildings from early Oregon. According to its NRHP nomination, "The simple elegance of this structure stands as an example of the unpretentious lives of early Oregon settlers."It is a one-story 20 by 24 feet (6.1 m × 7.3 m) building. John Killan led the construction. The vestibule was added in about 1920.

Needy, also known as Hardscrabble, is an unincorporated community in Clackamas County, Oregon, United States. James H. Brents gave the community its names, which may be such because of its poverty. Needy's post office was established on February 16, 1885 and John M. Bacon was its postmaster. It closed on September 19, 1903. It is now served by the Canby post office.

Molalla Prairie is an unincorporated community of approximately 3,500 residents in Clackamas County, Oregon, United States. The community is located south of Molalla. In June 2009, 178 residents of the area signed petitions calling for a vote on forming a hamlet, hoping it would give the area more political clout on issues such as opposition to a natural gas pipeline through the area and agritourism. In March 2010, residents within the boundaries of the proposed hamlet voted in favor of formation by a 75–60 vote. On April 1, 2010, the hamlet came into existence after the Clackamas County Board of Commissioners approved the formation.In October 2014, all members of the hamlet's board of directors voted to resign and donate the hamlet's trust fund to the nearby hamlet of Beavercreek. The future of the community remains uncertain.

Silver Creek Reservoir also known as Silverton Reservoir is a 65-acre (26 ha) impoundment on Silver Creek located in the Cascade foothills 2.5 miles (4.0 km) southeast of the city of Silverton, Oregon, United States on Oregon Route 214. The reservoir serves the purpose of flood control on the creek. The lake is popular in the spring and summer as a recreation area. Stocked with roughly 20,000 hatchery trout each spring and early summer, the lake also provides opportunities to catch bullhead catfish. Swimming is also quite popular on warm summer days as well as recreational boating, though no gas motors are allowed on the lake. Since the reservoir was created in 1960, there has been fear in Silverton that Silver Creek Dam might someday give way. Though structural engineers have declared the dam safe and deemed the conditions for a dam breach to be almost out of the realm of possibility, US Army Corps of Engineers studies have found that a collapse of the dam would be catastrophic to the city below.
