Ivanka pri Dunaji

Čeklís Castle was a medieval fortification near Bernolákovo in the Bratislava region, Slovakia. The castle was most likely built in the 13th century. It was destroyed and abandoned in the 16th century. Nowadays only a part of the perimeter wall, about 32 m long and situated on the edge of the ridge, has been preserved from the castle above ground level. A water tower was built on top of the castle remains in 1905. The tower was styled to fit the historical environment but is materially completely separate from the Čeklís Castle.

M. R. Štefánik Airport (Slovak: Letisko M. R. Štefánika; German: Flughafen M. R. Štefánik) (IATA: BTS, ICAO: LZIB), also called – especially in English – Bratislava Airport (Slovak: Letisko Bratislava; German: Flughafen Pressburg or Flughafen Bratislava) or Bratislava-Ivanka, located approximately 9 km (5.6 mi) northeast of the city center of Bratislava, spanning over the area of three municipalities (Bratislava-Ružinov, Bratislava-Vrakuňa and Ivanka pri Dunaji). It is the main international airport of Slovakia. Shortly after the independence of Slovakia in 1993, it was named after general Milan Rastislav Štefánik (1880–1919), whose aircraft crashed near Bratislava in 1919. The airport is owned and run by Letisko M. R. Štefánika – Airport Bratislava, a.s. (BTS). As of September 2014 the company is fully owned by the Slovak Republic via the Ministry of Transport, Construction and Regional Development.Bratislava is a base for the Slovak Government Flying Service as well as Ryanair, AirExplore, and Smartwings Slovakia. During a brief period in 2011, the airport was also a secondary hub for Czech Airlines. Two maintenance companies, Austrian Technik Bratislava and East Air Company are also based at the airport. Air Livery has one painting bay for aircraft at the airport. The airport is category 4E for aircraft, and category 7 or 8 on request in terms of potential rescue. Bratislava is also served by the Vienna International Airport located 49 kilometres (30.4 mi) west of the city centre. Conversely, Bratislava Airport may serve as a low-cost alternative for people from Vienna and the neighbouring areas.

Most pri Bratislave (Hungarian: Dunahidas, German: Bruck) is a village and municipality in western Slovakia in Senec District in the Bratislava Region.

Chorvátsky Grob (Croatian: Hrvatski Grob, Hungarian: Horvátgurab, Horvát-Gurab, German: Kroatisch-Eisgrub) is a village and municipality in western Slovakia in Senec District in the Bratislava region. It has a population of around 6,000 people. The village's name Chorvátsky means Croatian. This refers to the Croatian people that have lived in the area since the early 16th century. This population arrived here after escaping the area between Sisak and Kostajnica during the Ottoman Wars. The area was settled by Croatians escaping from Turkish Ottoman raids which helps explain the etymology of the present-day name from "Horvát Gurab" to "Chorvátsky Grob" (Croatian Grave) used at the present time. According to the local municipality website of Chorvátsky Grob the Slovak word for "grob" is " hrob" or, in English "grave". Reportedly, this place was named in memory of soldiers, though it is not clear if those soldiers were Croats, Slovaks or another ethnicity.

Malinovo (German: Eberhardt, Hungarian: Éberhárd) is a village and municipality in western Slovakia in Senec District in the Bratislava Region.

Šúr is a national nature reserve in the Slovak municipalities of Svätý Jur and Chorvátsky Grob in the Pezinok District. The nature reserve covers an area of 655 ha and has a protective belt of 145 ha. It has a protection level of 3, 4 and 5 under the Slovak nature protection system. It was established in 1952 to protect one of the last and largest remnants of a tall-stem swamp alder forest. Around it are the remnants of wet and peat bog meadows. The area also hosts some xerophilous biotopes and has a rich species diversity on a small area including a number of endangered species.

The Bratislava II (Slovak: okres Bratislava II; Hungarian: Pozsonyi II. járás) is a district (okres) of Bratislava in the Bratislava Region of Slovakia. It covers the south-eastern part of Bratislava, including the boroughs of Ružinov, Podunajské Biskupice and Vrakuňa. It is bordered by the Bratislava I, Bratislava III, Bratislava V and Senec districts.

Bratislava-Vrakuňa railway station is a railway station on railway line 131 in Bratislava-Vrakuňa. The station was opened in 1895 but closed in 1974. It was reopened on 15 October 2016. This train station connects four train stations: Bratislava main railway station, Kvetoslavov, Dunajská Streda and Komárno.

Church of the Virgin Mary (Slovak: Kostol Mena Panny Márie; Hungary: Szűz Mária Templom) is a church that was built in 1879 and is located on Poľnohospodárska street, in the Vrakuňa district of Bratislava. Its capacity did not meet the demand, so the church was extended with an addition. The foundation stone and the building site of the new part were feasted on 28 February 1993. The new church was put in use on 1 January 1994, and the ceremonial dedication was made by Archbishop Ján Sokol on 9 September 1995.
