Svätý Jur (Slovak pronunciation: [sʋɛɐtiː ˈjur] ; German: Sankt Georgen; Hebrew: Yergen; Hungarian: Szentgyörgy; formerly Jur pri Bratislave) is a small historical town northeast of Bratislava, located in the Bratislava Region. The city is situated on the slopes of Little Carpathians mountains and surrounded by typical terraced vineyards with more than 700 years of winemaking tradition. In 1990, the intact city center was declared a protected city reservation. Cadastrially, Svätý Jur includes also the natural reserve Šúr, established in 1952 to protect one of the last and largest remnants of a tall-stem swamp alder forest in Central Europe. Today, Svätý Jur has a population of over 5,000 citizens. The town is well connected with a major road between Pezinok and Bratislava passing through and the Svätý Jur railway station situated on the main Košice - Bratislava railway line. The city is bordered by the Little Carpathian mountains to the west, Bratislava to the south, natural reserve Šúr to the east and Limbach and Pezinok to the north and northeast respectively.

The Synagogue in Svätý Jur, a small town in Slovakia, north-east of the capital Bratislava, was built around 1790. The building is in private ownership and is in a very bad condition.

Grinava (Hungarian: Grinád, German: Grünau) is a historical village in Slovakia, since 1 July 1975 a suburb of the town of Pezinok. It contains a listed 14th-century church originally built by Saxon colonists. During the Second World War a prison camp for American POWs was located in the village. Towards the end of the Second World War there was fighting in and around Grinava between German and Soviet forces. Under the Czechoslovak Republic (1948-1990) the village was renamed Myslenice. It has since reverted to its earlier name.

Biely Kameň (literally White Stone in English) are the ruins of a Gothic castle located on a wooded hill above the town of Svätý Jur in the Pezinok district in the Bratislava region, Slovakia. The name Biely Kameň became commonplace in the 1980s. The castle is also known as Svätojurský hrad (St. George castle).Biely Kameň served as a fortified seat above Svätý Jur since the 13th century until 1663 when it was finally abandoned by its owners. The castle was likely established in response to and not long after Tatar raids in 1241-1242.Since 2002, the ruins are recognized as a national cultural monument but remain freely and publicly accessible. Most tourists visit the site from the nearby town of Svätý Jur.

Limbach (German: Limbach, Hungarian: Limpak) is a municipality in western Slovakia in Pezinok District in the Bratislava Region, under the Little Carpathians. It is particularly well known for its production of wine.

Slovenský Grob (Hungarian: Tótgurab; German: Slowakisch-Eisgrub, Böhmisch-Grub, Slawisch-Weissgrob) is a village and municipality in western Slovakia in Pezinok District in the Bratislava region. Slovenský Grob, in the foothills of the Small Carpathians, is geographically disposed to the rearing of geese. Its lakes, marshes and rich pastures – the result of a brook that formerly coursed through the village – are all factors in producing the ideal gosherding landscape. Families would traditionally keep geese, then slaughter and consume them among themselves. But the economic hardships of the mid 20th century resulted in the goose meat making its way to markets in Bratislava and Pezinok, where it was a significant hit. Some intrepid gastronomes followed their stomachs to the source, and the housewives of Slovenský Grob became underground restaurateurs, transforming their living rooms into poultry-based speakeasys. After the Velvet Revolution, it didn't take a particularly glittering capitalist mind to spot a business opportunity, and lounges became dining rooms in less time than it took to pluck a bird.

Ivanka pri Dunaji (Hungarian: Pozsonyivánka) is a village and municipality in western Slovakia in Senec District in the Bratislava Region.

Stupava Synagogue, built in 1803, is located in Stupava, Malacky District, in Slovakia.

Vajnory Airport (ICAO: LZVB) was an airfield located near the village of Vajnory, close to Slovakia's capital Bratislava. It was closed in January 2007. This area is now served by the Milan Rastislav Štefánik Airport.

Chorvátsky Grob (Croatian: Hrvatski Grob, Hungarian: Horvátgurab, Horvát-Gurab, German: Kroatisch-Eisgrub) is a village and municipality in western Slovakia in Senec District in the Bratislava region. It has a population of around 6,000 people. The village's name Chorvátsky means Croatian. This refers to the Croatian people that have lived in the area since the early 16th century. This population arrived here after escaping the area between Sisak and Kostajnica during the Ottoman Wars. The area was settled by Croatians escaping from Turkish Ottoman raids which helps explain the etymology of the present-day name from "Horvát Gurab" to "Chorvátsky Grob" (Croatian Grave) used at the present time. According to the local municipality website of Chorvátsky Grob the Slovak word for "grob" is " hrob" or, in English "grave". Reportedly, this place was named in memory of soldiers, though it is not clear if those soldiers were Croats, Slovaks or another ethnicity.

Pezinok District (okres Pezinok) is a district in the Bratislava Region of western Slovakia The district had been established in 1996, from 1923 was its area part of Modra District. It is situated on the foothills of Little Carpathians hills, and is known for its vineyard production. Industry is located mostly in its seat, town of Pezinok, which is the largest district municipality. Of cultural importance is the town of Modra. Many inhabitants daily travel to Bratislava for work, shopping, or education.
