Omo Ranch is an unincorporated community in El Dorado County, California. It is located 12.5 miles (20 km) south-southeast of Camino, at an elevation of 3612 feet (1101 m). Omo Ranch was once a logging town with a sawmill; the mill closed in 1973. Today, Omo Ranch is a rural residential area with few county services. Its population in 1986 was estimated at 150. A post office operated at Omo Ranch from 1888 to 1974. The name Omo comes from a Native American village.

Grizzly Flats (formerly Grizzly Flat and Chickenmasee) is a census-designated place in El Dorado County, California. It is located southeast of Camino, at an elevation of 3868 feet (1179 m). Grizzly Flats is the town nearest to Baltic Peak, a small peak to the northwest. The population at the 2010 census was 1,066.

Amador Pines is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Amador County, California, United States. It is located along California State Route 88, bordered to the south by Buckhorn and to the west by Lockwood. The Census Bureau first designated it as a CDP prior to the 2020 census for statistical purposes.

Baltic Peak is a mountain in the Sierra Nevada foothills of El Dorado County in the U.S. state of California. The nearest city to this peak is Grizzly Flats, a small unincorporated community. Branching off of the Mormon Emigrant Trail, which can be found 3.4 miles from Jenkinson Lake, a dirt path can be found leading to an abandoned lookout on the peak. On the north face, there is a gold mine that was built in 1896. The mine closed by 1907. In 1931, Baltic Peak Lookout, a 80 foot tall steel lookout tower, was built on the mountain at an elevation of 5,046 feet.

KVMX-FM (92.1 MHz) is a radio station licensed to Placerville, California, United States, and serving the Sacramento area with a regional Mexican format, branded as "La Ranchera". The station is currently owned by Lotus Communications, who bought the then-KMJE from Results Radio on September 3, 2013, and took over ownership on December 10, 2013. It is also broadcasting on AM at 890, known as KSAC, which signed on as KMJE in the summer of 2014.

KFBK-AM-FM air a news-talk radio format and are owned by iHeartMedia. The studios and offices are on River Park Drive in North Sacramento, near the Arden Fair Mall. KFBK-FM has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 20,500 watts. The transmitter is on Grizzly Flat Road at Mehwald Lane in Sweeneys Crossing, an unincorporated community in El Dorado County. KFBK-FM formerly broadcast in the HD Radio hybrid format.

KCCL (101.5 MHz) is a commercial FM radio station licensed to Woodland, California, and serving the Sacramento metropolitan area. It is owned by Alfredo Plascencia, through licensee Lazer Broadcasting Corporation, and broadcasts a Regional Mexican radio format, calling itself "Radio Lazer". Its studios and offices are in North Sacramento. KCCL has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 5,700 watts. The transmitter site off Road 104 in Davis, California, near the Willow Slough.

Fair Play (formerly, Fairplay) is an unincorporated community in El Dorado County, California. It is located 4.5 miles (7.2 km) northeast of Aukum, at an elevation of 2329 feet (710 m). Fair Play was a mining town in the 1850s, transitioning to a farming economy by the 1880s. The Fair Play Cemetery remains open and active today. In more recent years the Fair Play area has become known for its wineries; the Fair Play AVA was established in 2001 and has become a local travel destination for small accommodations, vineyards and wineries with well over 20 properties. A post office was operated at Fair Play from 1860 to 1944.

Buckhorn is a census-designated place in Amador County, California. Buckhorn sits at an elevation of 3,238 feet (987 m). The community is in ZIP code 95666 and area code 209. The 2010 United States census reported Buckhorn's population was 2,429.

Sly Park Dam is located near Pollock Pines, California in the United States. The dam impounds Sly Park Creek and Hazel Creek, natural tributaries of the North Fork Cosumnes River, to form a 41,000 acre-foot (51,000 dam3), 650-acre (260 ha) reservoir called Jenkinson Lake. It was constructed as part of the American River Division of the Central Valley Project to provide irrigation water to a portion of El Dorado County, California. The dam was begun in May 1953, with clearing operations, and was completed in mid 1955. The earthfill Sly Park Dam is 190 feet (58 m) high, with a hydraulic height of 170 feet (52 m), and 760 feet (230 m) long. Its auxiliary dam is 130 feet (40 m) high and 600 feet (180 m) long. The spillway of Sly Park Dam is actually in the auxiliary dam: it is a concrete chute 170 feet (52 m) long and can carry 6,700 cubic feet (190 m3) per second, while the outlet works at the foot of the dam can carry 47 cubic feet (1.3 m3) per second. The drainage area of Sly Park Creek behind the dam is 47 square miles (120 km2). The Camino Conduit diverts water roughly 7.2 miles (11.6 km) west from the Jenkinson Reservoir for irrigation purposes. Water is also diverted from Camp Creek into Jenkinson Lake to increase the total water yield.

Jenkinson Lake is a lake located in El Dorado County, California near Pollock Pines, California named after Robert Jenkins the famous bull fighter. There are two main parts, the upper and lower lake. The lower lake is about eight times larger than the upper lake, which is to the northeast of its partner. The lower lake is more of a rounded body, while the upper is more narrow. In the upper eastern area of the upper lake lies a large inlet, which can be traced to a waterfall. The Sly Park Dam can be found to the southern part of the lake, and an auxiliary dam can be found to the southeast.

Sierra Springs is an unincorporated community in El Dorado County, California. It lies at an elevation of 3323 feet (1013 m).
