Sangiano railway station (Italian: Stazione di Sangiano) is a railway station in the comune of Sangiano, in the Italian region of Lombardy. It is an intermediate stop on the standard gauge Luino–Milan line of Rete Ferroviaria Italiana.

Icaro 2000 is an Italian aircraft manufacturer, based in Sangiano. The company specializes in the design and manufacturer of hang gliders, ultralight trikes and hang gliding helmets.By the end of 2010, the company had sold over 9,000 hang gliders, including many used by world champions.

The town is known as the birthplace of Alfredo Binda, a world-class bicycle racer in the 1920s and 1930s. The elite women's professional road bicycle racing event Trofeo Alfredo Binda-Comune di Cittiglio is held annually here.

Sasso del Ferro is a mountain of Lombardy, Italy. It has an elevation of 1,062 metres above sea level. At its base sits the town of Laveno-Mombello, from which the mountain is served by a funicular cable ride to the top. Besozzo is a town and municipality located in the province of Varese, in the Lombardy region of northern Italy. Besozzo hosts a small historical centre with churches and noble houses, so-called Palazzi, in its upper part which is in part pedestrian zone, and a vivid modern centre with shops, cafes, banks etc. in its lower part. The village is situated in the region of the lakes, with Lago Maggiore being only 6 kilometres (4 mi) away, and features views of the Alps. Besozzo has a train station on the Luino–Milan railway, and a fast road linking it to the Italian highway system. As many surrounding villages, it has grown considerably and it still doing so, in part because of families moving from Milan to region of lakes and becoming commuters.
