Laveno-Mombello railway station (Italian: Stazione di Laveno-Mombello) is a railway station in Italy. It is junction of the lines Luino–Milan and Luino–Oleggio. It serves the town of Laveno-Mombello, and is joined by a junction track to the Laveno-Mombello Lago railway station, managed by Ferrovienord. No trains operate between the two stations, which are located less than 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) apart.

The elite women's professional road bicycle racing event Trofeo Alfredo Binda-Comune di Cittiglio is held annually here.

The Boesio is a river (intermittent stream) in Valcuvia, a valley in the north of the province of Varese, Lombardy, Italy. It rises near Cuveglio and flowing in an east–west direction before entering Lake Maggiore at Laveno-Mombello. The river's course takes it through the communes of Cuveglio, Cuvio, Casalzuigno, Azzio, Brenta, Gemonio, Cittiglio and Laveno-Mombello. The state road SS 394 follows in part the course of the river. Fish found in the river include Salmonidae and Cyprinidae, in particular brown trout and vairone (Leuciscus souffia). The waters of the river are polluted.

It is located in the Varese Prealps, in the Province of Varese, near the Cuvignone Pass which links the Valtravaglia to the Valcuvia.It is mostly composed of limestone and covered in woods of oak, ash, beech and birch. The peak can be reached by hiking paths from the pass or from Caldè, on Lake Maggiore. A mountain hut operated by the Italian Alpine Club, Rifugio De Grandi Adamoli, is located a short distance from the peak.
