Diano Arentino (Ligurian: Dian Arentin) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Imperia in the Italian region Liguria, located about 90 kilometres (56 mi) southwest of Genoa and about 7 kilometres (4 mi) north of Imperia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 648 and an area of 8.3 square kilometres (3.2 sq mi).Diano Arentino borders the following municipalities: Chiusanico, Diano Castello, Diano San Pietro, Imperia, Pontedassio, and Stellanello.

Imperia railway station (Italian: Stazione di Imperia) is a railway station serving the city of Imperia, in Liguria, northwestern Italy. The station is located on the Genoa–Ventimiglia railway and was opened on 11 December 2016. The train services are operated by Trenitalia and Thello.

Imperia Oneglia railway station (Italian: Stazione di Imperia Oneglia) served the city of Imperia, in the Liguria region, northwestern Italy. Opened in 1872, it formed part of the Genoa–Ventimiglia railway, and was situated just over two thirds along the way from Genoa towards Ventimiglia. It was replaced on 11 December 2016, along with Imperia's other former railway station, Imperia Porto Maurizio, 2.2 kilometres (1.4 mi) to the west, by a new station, simply named Imperia, situated on a new double-track line replacing the old coastal route.

As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 488 and an area of 3.3 square kilometres (1.3 sq mi).The municipality of Chiusavecchia contains the frazione (subdivision) Zebbi. Chiusavecchia borders the following municipalities: Chiusanico, Lucinasco, and Pontedassio.

As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,061 and an area of 6.0 square kilometres (2.3 sq mi).Diano Castello borders the following municipalities: Diano Arentino, Diano Marina, Diano San Pietro, Imperia, and San Bartolomeo al Mare. The hills surrounding the village are covered with olive groves and with vineyards that produce Vermentino, a white wine. It is one of I Borghi più belli d'Italia ("The most beautiful villages of Italy").

Imperia (pronounced [imˈpɛːrja] ; Ligurian: Inpêia [iŋˈpeːja] or Inpéria) is a coastal city and comune in the region of Liguria, Italy. It is the capital of the Province of Imperia, and historically it was capital of the Intemelia district of Liguria. Benito Mussolini created the city of Imperia on 21 October 1923 by combining Porto Maurizio and Oneglia, as well as the surrounding village communes of Piani, Caramagna Ligure, Castelvecchio di Santa Maria Maggiore, Borgo Sant'Agata, Costa d'Oneglia, Poggi, Torrazza, Moltedo and Montegrazie. Imperia is well known for the cultivation of flowers and olives, and is a popular summer destination for visitors. The local Piscina Felice Cascione indoor pool has hosted numerous national and international aquatics events.

Oneglia (Ligurian: Inêia or Ineja) is a former town in northern Italy on the Ligurian coast, in 1923 joined to Porto Maurizio to form the Comune of Imperia. The name is still used for the suburb.The Imperia Oneglia railway station was closed in 2016, due to the new organization of the city, which provides a new station in the middle core of the city of Imperia, just to make easier the connection between Porto Maurizio and Oneglia. This specific point of the city, in the early 1930 was the hearth of the Liguria's economy, due to the important oil commerce that was pretty consistent at that time.

Opened in 1872, it formed part of the Genoa–Ventimiglia railway, and was situated just over two thirds along the way from Genoa towards Ventimiglia. It was replaced on 11 December 2016, along with Imperia's other former railway station, Imperia Oneglia, 2.2 kilometres (1.4 mi) to the east, by a new inland station, simply named Imperia, situated on a new double-track line replacing the old coastal route.The station was managed by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI), however, the commercial area of the passenger building was managed by Centostazioni. Train services to and from the station were operated by Trenitalia. Each of these companies is a subsidiary of Ferrovie dello Stato (FS), Italy's state-owned rail company.

Diano railway station (Italian: Stazione di Diano) is a railway station serving the town of Diano Castello, in Liguria, northwestern Italy. The station is located on the Genoa–Ventimiglia railway and was opened on 11 December 2016. The train services are operated by Trenitalia. The station was built to replace the former station Diano Marina. The station was opened as part of an 18.8 km new double-track railway between Andora and San Lorenzo which operates largely through tunnels, rather than winding along the coast.
