Estádio Governador Roberto Santos, usually known as Estádio de Pituaçu, is a football stadium located in Salvador, Bahia state, Brazil. The stadium is owned by the Government of Bahia state and it was built in 1979. Its formal name honors Roberto Santos, who was a federal deputy, the governor of Bahia state from 1975 to 1979, a professor at the Universidade Federal da Bahia's Faculty of Medicine, and was the Minister of Health during José Sarney's government. The stadium became one of the most important stadiums in Bahia after the Fonte Nova stadium's demolition was announced, and it has a maximum capacity of 32,157 people, but it will be expanded to a maximum capacity of 34,000 people. It is Esporte Clube Bahia's home stadium during the building of the Arena Fonte Nova.

The Centro Universitário Jorge Amado (Jorge Amado University Center, often abbreviated as Unijorge) is a private institution founded in 1999 and located in the city of Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. It has more than 30 undergraduate courses and some post-graduate courses.

The Circuito Ayrton Senna, also known as CAB circuit, was a 2.724 km (1.693 mi) street circuit opened in 2009, located in Salvador, Bahia. The curves that made up the circuit's 2.724 km (1.693 mi) were the Curva dos Orixás, Curva do Acarajé, Curva da Balança, Curva do Dendê and Curva da Vitória.Cacá Bueno and Allam Khodair were the most successful drivers on the circuit, both won 2 races. The circuit was closed after the race in 2014.

The Legislative Assembly of Bahia (Portuguese: Assembleia Legislativa da Bahia) is the unicameral legislature of Bahia state in Brazil, it's currently based on Administrative Center of Bahia in Salvador. It has 63 state deputies elected by proportional representation. The legislative power of Bahia began with the General Council of the Province in 1828, it had 21 members and had only the function of suggesting laws for the General Assembly of the Empire. In 1835 the Provincial Assembly was actually created, from the first to the 11th legislature the Assembly functioned in the Convento do Carmo, in 1858 it started to function next to the Paço Municipal, from 1891 the assembly became bicameral where the chamber and the Senate functioned in different buildings, during the Estado Novo in 1947 the legislature became unicameral again.

The stadium was built in 1986 and reinaugurated in 1991. The Barradão is owned by Esporte Clube Vitória. The stadium is named after Manoel Barradas, who was a Vitória's counselor.

Caminho das Árvores is a neighborhood located in the southeastern zone of Salvador, Bahia in Brazil. This neighborhood is a mixed of residential and trade area, with majority presence of wealthy classes.

Águas Claras (lit. 'Clear Waters') is a neighborhood located in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, on the BR-324 highway, near the city limits to the northwest. Like most neighborhoods in the city center, it faces problems such as insufficient basic infrastructure. Various voluntary and government initiatives have helped to alleviate this situation. The neighborhood has public schools, container storage warehouses, and other facilities. Due to public transportation projects in the neighborhood, real estate speculation has increased the price per square meter of land along BR-324, despite it still being one of the areas most lacking in urban infrastructure in Salvador. The neighborhood belongs to Administrative Region XIV (Fourteen) - "Cajazeiras".

Estádio Santiago de Compostela, commonly known as Estádio Parque Santiago, is a multi-use stadium located in Salvador, Brazil. It is used mostly for football matches and hosts the home matches of Galícia Esporte Clube. The stadium has a maximum capacity of 8,000 people.The stadium was built with the help of the Spanish community of Salvador.

The siege of Salvador occurred during the Brazilian War of Independence, during which the newly formed Brazilian army, under the command of French general Pierre Labatut, attempted to capture the city of Salvador in Bahia from its Portuguese defenders. The siege lasted from 2 March 1822 until 2 July 1823, finally ending when the Portuguese commander, Madeira de Melo, surrendered his forces to the Brazilians.

Praia do Forte is a long beach with a small village 80 km away from the city of Salvador, Bahia. The beach is known for its clear waters, white sand, natural pools, rivers and an ecological reserve of native flora and fauna.
