Drumul Taberei (Romanian: [ˈdru.mul ˈta.be.rej], The Camp Road) is a neighbourhood located in the south-west of Bucharest, Romania, roughly between Timișoara Avenue (south of Plaza România and the Cotroceni Railway Station) and Ghencea Avenue, neighboring Militari to the north, Panduri to the east and Ghencea and Rahova to the south and south-east. It is one of the few examples of successful urban planning during Communist Romania, despite it being built in the Eastern European tradition of "dormitory neighborhoods". This success is mostly due to the unique approach of the architects and planners to the concept of high-density urban living, an approach that was not used elsewhere in Bucharest.

Steaua Stadium (Romanian: Stadionul Steaua), informally also known as Ghencea, was a football stadium in Bucharest, Romania, which served as the home of Steaua București. It was inaugurated on 9 April 1974 when Steaua played a friendly game against OFK Belgrade, 2–2. Gheorghe Tătaru was the first player to score in the stadium. The stadium was entirely demolished in 2018, and was replaced with a new all-seater stadium opened in 2021.

Plaza Romania is a shopping mall in Bucharest, Romania. The construction, based on an uncompleted hunger circus abandoned after the fall of Nicolae Ceaușescu, has three distinguishable parts — a central structure with a dome 40 metres (130 ft) in diameter, and two new and complex wing structures. The centre has two functional sections — a mall and a hypermarket — which can be operated independently, according to operation conditions. The site also includes an open-air carpark and an indoor carpark. The entire structure has four floors: the basement, which contains the carpark and leisure areas; the ground floor, which contains department stores, the Hypermarket, and retail stores; the first floor, which contains retail stores, leisure areas, and cinemas; and the second floor, which contains more retail shops and cinemas, as well as a bowling alley, a fitness centre and a food court. On August 29, 2009, a tribute to Michael Jackson was given at Plaza Romania with many dancers. This would have been his 51st birthday.

Gorjului is a metro station in Bucharest named after the Piaţa Gorjului (Gorjului Market), east of which is situated. The station was opened on 31 August 1994 on already operating extension from Eroilor to Industriilor.It was added later to the system in the 1990s, and built in two stages. The platform for trains headed for Industriilor was built first, and after a few years, the platform for trains headed for Eroilor entered revenue service. As a consequence the two platforms and associated vestibules were built with different materials and different colour schemes were used (the outbound platform features a warm reddish colour scheme, while the inbound platform uses a darker colder materials and colours). There are plans for the Casa Gorjeana tradition restaurant to open a subsidiary inside the station's vestibule.

Lujerului metro station, previously known as Armata Poporului is a metro station in the Militari neighborhood of Bucharest. It is located at the intersection of Lujerului and Iuliu Maniu Avenues, close to the Lujerului road-tunnel, near the Cotroceni Freight Railway Terminal, the Lujerului Silo, Mills and Bread Factory, and next to the Cora Lujerului hypermarket. The metro station also services the Plaza Romania mall. It was opened on 19 August 1983 as part of the extension from Eroilor to Industriilor and currently serves M3. The station is also of the central platform design, slightly narrower than Politehnica, also built in marble and featuring a color scheme based on white, crimson and shades of gray. The previous name of the station comes from the former name of the easternmost portion of the Iuliu Maniu Avenue, that was formerly known as Armata Poporului (People's Army). The name of the avenue was changed in 1997 to honor Iuliu Maniu, an inter-war Romanian statesman and to remove all the remaining communist symbolism. However, the name of the metro station stuck, in part because of the reluctance of Metrorex to change station names. In 2009, the name of the station was finally changed to Lujerului, the name of a nearby street and road tunnel. The light rail line 41, which goes from Ghencea to Piaţa Presei Libere also passes near this metro station.
