Romancierilor is a station on line M5 of Bucharest Metro. The adjacent stations are Parc Drumul Taberei (towards Eroilor), Valea Ialomiței, and Constantin Brâncuși (towards Râul Doamnei). The station was opened on 15 September 2020 as part of the inaugural section of M5, from Eroilor to Valea Ialomiței and Râul Doamnei.

Lujerului metro station, previously known as Armata Poporului is a metro station in the Militari neighborhood of Bucharest. It is located at the intersection of Lujerului and Iuliu Maniu Avenues, close to the Lujerului road-tunnel, near the Cotroceni Freight Railway Terminal, the Lujerului Silo, Mills and Bread Factory, and next to the Cora Lujerului hypermarket. The metro station also services the Plaza Romania mall. It was opened on 19 August 1983 as part of the extension from Eroilor to Industriilor and currently serves M3. The station is also of the central platform design, slightly narrower than Politehnica, also built in marble and featuring a color scheme based on white, crimson and shades of gray. The previous name of the station comes from the former name of the easternmost portion of the Iuliu Maniu Avenue, that was formerly known as Armata Poporului (People's Army). The name of the avenue was changed in 1997 to honor Iuliu Maniu, an inter-war Romanian statesman and to remove all the remaining communist symbolism. However, the name of the metro station stuck, in part because of the reluctance of Metrorex to change station names. In 2009, the name of the station was finally changed to Lujerului, the name of a nearby street and road tunnel. The light rail line 41, which goes from Ghencea to Piaţa Presei Libere also passes near this metro station.

Militari is a district in the western part of Bucharest, in Sector 6. It is home to more than 100,000 inhabitants. In the past a village called "Militari" existed here, but today there are only few houses left from that time. The earliest housing scheme comprises small, semi-detached houses, which have been built in the 1950s by Communist party workers, with the first tower blocks being built in 1966–1967. Later, in the 1970s and 1980s, most of the present-day blocks of flats (with 8 and 10 floors) were built. Amongst the well-known apartment buildings are the B22 Block, built from 1977 to 1979 by Yugoslav architects, the 15-storey tower blocks at Lujerului (right next to the so-called Serbian block, also designed by Yugoslav architects, completed in 1974), and the OD16 block, initially built sometime between 1972 and 1975, but fully collapsed during the 1977 Vrancea earthquake due to substandard construction practices (it was eventually rebuilt in 1978). The neighborhood features a few markets, including Gorjului, Lujerului, and Apusului (similar markets are found in most communist-era housing estates, such as the Sălăjan market in Titan, as well as the Moghioroș and Orizont markets in Drumul Taberei).The district is very compact and it was built using a basic three parallel boulevards geometry. Militari is packed between Drumul Taberei and Crângași districts, and it is one of the westernmost neighborhoods of Bucharest. It is served by the Bucharest Metro, buses, trolleybuses, and tramways which connect it with the city center and the Gara de Nord railway station. Because of its access to the A1 motorway, the district developed rapidly following the Romanian Revolution of 1989, transforming itself in one of the most prosperous neighborhoods of Bucharest. In recent years the district saw the opening of two hypermarkets (Cora and Carrefour), and a large mall ("Plaza Romania"). The district has a new theatre ("Masca") and a modern cinema ("Movieplex").

Constantin Brâncuși is a station on line M5 of Bucharest Metro. Named after the Romanian-French sculptor Constantin Brâncuși, it is located between Romancierilor and Râul Doamnei. The station was opened on 15 September 2020 as part of the inaugural section of M5, from Eroilor to Valea Ialomiței and Râul Doamnei.

Drumul Taberei (Romanian: [ˈdru.mul ˈta.be.rej], The Camp Road) is a neighbourhood located in the south-west of Bucharest, Romania, roughly between Timișoara Avenue (south of Plaza România and the Cotroceni Railway Station) and Ghencea Avenue, neighboring Militari to the north, Panduri to the east and Ghencea and Rahova to the south and south-east. It is one of the few examples of successful urban planning during Communist Romania, despite it being built in the Eastern European tradition of "dormitory neighborhoods". This success is mostly due to the unique approach of the architects and planners to the concept of high-density urban living, an approach that was not used elsewhere in Bucharest.

Plaza Romania is a shopping mall in Bucharest, Romania. The construction, based on an uncompleted hunger circus abandoned after the fall of Nicolae Ceaușescu, has three distinguishable parts — a central structure with a dome 40 metres (130 ft) in diameter, and two new and complex wing structures. The centre has two functional sections — a mall and a hypermarket — which can be operated independently, according to operation conditions. The site also includes an open-air carpark and an indoor carpark. The entire structure has four floors: the basement, which contains the carpark and leisure areas; the ground floor, which contains department stores, the Hypermarket, and retail stores; the first floor, which contains retail stores, leisure areas, and cinemas; and the second floor, which contains more retail shops and cinemas, as well as a bowling alley, a fitness centre and a food court. On August 29, 2009, a tribute to Michael Jackson was given at Plaza Romania with many dancers. This would have been his 51st birthday.

Anchor Plaza is an office building located in Bucharest. It has 12 floors and a surface of 33,000 square metres (360,000 sq ft). Tenants include Adobe and Carrefour.

Păcii (eng. [of the] peace) is a metro station in Bucharest. Part of the boulevard under which it resides used to bear the station's name. It is located on Iuliu Maniu Avenue at the intersection with Valea Cascadelor Avenue, the latter being a proposal for a new name for the station. Lacul Morii ("Mill Lake") is the largest lake in Chiajna, with an area of 246 ha (610 acres). The lake is approximately 6 km (3.7 mi) from the center of Bucharest (Piața Unirii) and is located between the Polytechnic University of Bucharest neighborhood to the east, the Crângași and Giulești districts to the north, the Militari district to the south and the village Roșu to the west. The lake is a reservoir, made in 1986 mainly to protect the city against floods. It is also a recreation area. Lacul Morii provides a constant flow to the Dâmboviţa river in the city. The lake was built by a dam 15 m (49 ft) high, with a central body of concrete, and earth dams extended lengthwise with a total length of 7 km (4.3 mi). The lake's volume is 14.7×106 m3 (1.92×107 cu yd), with a flood mitigation portion of 1.6×106 m3 (2.1×106 cu yd) beyond the normal retention. Effectively, to mitigate flooding, the lake's volume can be increased when floods are predicted. Making a lake near an urban area required decommissioning of existing uses, including demolition and decommissioning of a church.On the south of Lacul Morii there is a peninsula.
