Springville is a city in Linn County, Iowa, United States. The population was 1,154 at the time of the 2020 census. It is part of the Cedar Rapids Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Viola is an unincorporated community in eastern Linn County, Iowa, United States. It lies along local roads, northeast of the city of Cedar Rapids, the county seat of Linn County. Its elevation is 978 feet (298 m). Although Viola is unincorporated, it has a post office, with the ZIP code of 52350, which opened on 7 October 1861.

Whittier Friends Meeting House (also known as Springville Friends Meeting House; Quaker Corners) is a historic church building at the junction of County Roads E34 and X20 in Whittier, Iowa. It was built in 1893. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1993. It was deemed significant in the areas of religion and architecture. The National Register nomination noted:The building reflects the religious and architectural heritage of a small but locally significant religious group, the Conservative Wilburite Friends of Iowa. The building embodies their conception of right building, which maintained a predilection for unadorned simplicity. The meeting house meets the requirements of Criteria consideration A for significant religious properties. It is a tangible reflection of the broad patterns of Midwestern religious development. The Whittier Friends cemetery is immediately adjacent the meeting house and is included as a contributing element to the nomination.

Beach School is a historic building located northwest of Mount Vernon, Iowa, United States. Because school district lines had been redrawn, students in this area were forced to attend classes in a building some distance away. Given the condition of rural roads in the late 19th century, that created a hardship for many families. From 1889 to 1891 the school district set aside funds for a new building, and Benjamin Beach donated land on his farm for the new school. Not only was his farmhouse nearby, but Beach also operated a sawmill along the creek east of the school and a gristmill across the road. The one-room schoolhouse was completed in 1892, and a bell was purchased for the building around 1901. Early drawings of the building show a small bell tower. The building was used for educational and social use until 1946, and it has subsequently been converted into a rental home. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Grant Wood's "Fall Plowing" Rural Historic Landscape District is a 123-acre (50 ha) historic district near Viola, Iowa. A date of significance for the district is 1931. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003. The district includes four contributing buildings and one other contributing site.

The Matsell Bridge is a historic structure located northeast of Springville, Iowa, United States. It carries Matsell Park Road for 303 feet (92 m) over the Wapsipinicon River. This bridge replaced a bowstring truss bridge that had been built in stages between 1870 and 1906. E.W. Blumenschein, bridge design engineer for the Iowa State Highway Commission, recommended a plate girder bridge as a replacement. Clifford Shoemaker, District Engineer of the Federal Bureau of Public Roads, approved the plans as the new span was built by the Works Progress Administration. It was constructed by Amos Melberg for about $22,300. The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

The studios are co-located with former sister station KGAN-TV channel 2, near the intersection of Collins Road (Iowa Highway 100) and Old Marion Road NE in Cedar Rapids, in a building known as "Broadcast Park". By day, WMT is powered at 5,000 watts non-directional. At night, to protect other stations on 600 AM from interference, WMT uses a directional antenna with a three-tower array. Its transmitter site is on Radio Road near Marion. WMT is a Class B station broadcasting on a Regional AM frequency.
