The 2009 Jakarta Bombings were a terrorist attack which took place in Jakarta, Indonesia on 17 July 2009. At around 07:47 until 07:57 WIB (00:47-00:57 UTC), the JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton Hotels in Setiabudi, South Jakarta, were hit by separate bombings five minutes apart. Nine people were killed, of whom three were Indonesian, three were Australians, two were from The Netherlands, and one was from New Zealand. More than 50 people were injured in the blasts. Both blasts were caused by suicide bombers, who checked into the hotels as paying guests several days earlier. The twin suicide bombings came four years after the previous serious terrorist attack in Indonesia.

The 2003 Marriott Hotel bombing occurred on August 5, 2003 in Mega Kuningan, South Jakarta, Indonesia. A suicide bomber detonated a car bomb outside the lobby of the JW Marriott Hotel, killing 12 people and injuring 150. Those killed including a white Dutch man while the rest were Indonesian. The hotel was viewed as a Western symbol, and had been used by the United States embassy for various events. The hotel was closed for five weeks and reopened to the public on September 8.

Jalan Prof. Dr. Satrio or Jalan Satrio is one of main streets of Jakarta, Indonesia. The road has many important commercial buildings and shopping centers. It is named after former Minister for Health of Indonesia, Major General (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Satrio. This is a 2.25 km long road that extends from Karet Sudirman, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta to Casablanca Tunnel, Kuningan, South Jakarta. The road is located within the Golden Triangle of Jakarta. The road crosses 4 urban villages and has access point for Mega Kuninngan.

The development has six towers used for office space; W Hotels Jakarta and the Hotel Apartment, the Office Satrio, the Orchard Condominium, the Residence and Fraser Suites Serviced Apartment, and The Newton 1, 2 apartment towers. The office building (known as Tokopedia Tower) houses Tokopedia, which is one of Indonesia’s biggest online marketplace. The project is also equipped with a green area of about 60% of the land area.Ciputra World 3 Jakarta is planned to have conference & exhibition centre with a large capacity.

BTPN Towers are a pair of skyscrapers located at Mega Kuningan in Jakarta, Indonesia. They are part of a mixed use development called the Quadrant Complex. There are two buildings: The BTPN Office Tower, also known as Menara BTPN, is 223 meters tall and has 48 floors. It was constructed from 2013 to 2016, and serves as the headquarters for Bank BTPN, now part of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation as well as other businesses. The BTPN Hotel Tower has 25 floors and is under construction.

World Capital Tower is an skyscraper at Mega Kuningan, South Jakarta, Indonesia. The skyscraper is expected to be completed by second quarter of 2017. The skyscraper has total floor area of 70,000 sq.meters with retail & entertainment space. The tower, which is 270 meter-tall, has 54 floors. It is one of the tallest office buildings in Jakarta.The WCT is equipped with bomb and metal detection equipment, including 10 meters of glass applications and 19 mm thick bomb blast glass proof material in the main lobby. To reduce noise from outside and to reject the heat of the sun, the tower is equipped with infrared rays, and building facades coated low-e-double glass. WCT will also be equipped with a garden area of 3,000 square meters and a special building (annex) three floors covering an area of 2.700 square meters for retail and lifestyle, especially food & beverage.

Kuningan City in Jakarta, Indonesia is a mixed-use complex including a shopping mall, two apartment towers and one office tower. It is located in South Jakarta. The mall is called Kuningan City Mall, the apartment complex is named Denpasar Residence and the office tower is named AXA Tower, named after AXA Mandiri insurance company. The residential complex Denpasar Residence has two towers, named Kintamani Tower and Ubud Tower.

Trinity Tower is a skyscraper situated at the intersection of H.R. Rasuna Said Road and Jl. Prof. Dr. Satrio Road in Jakarta, Indonesia. The building was known as the Daswin building during its construction period. It was developed by PT Windas Development, which consists of Japan-based real estate giant Mitsubishi Estate, Indonesian manufacturing company and property developer Gesit Group and diversified conglomerate Santini Group. The project was the first opportunity for Mitsubishi Estate to develop an office building in Indonesia.Built with earthquake resistant technology and a green building concept, the tower is constructed on a land area of 1.6 hectares. The tower has three floors of retail, thirteen floors of parking and a basement floor, with total floor area of over 140,000 m2 (1,500,000 sq ft).

Gama Tower (formerly known as Cemindo Tower) is a skyscraper located at Jalan H.R. Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, Indonesia. It was also known as Rasuna Tower and Cemindo Tower during construction period, but finally named as Gama Tower. As of 2022, it is the 3rd tallest building in Jakarta, as well as Indonesia.The tower has an architectural height of 285.5 metres (937 feet), while its tip reached a height of 297 metres (974 feet). It has 64 floors above and 4 floors below the ground. The land area of the tower development is 1.6 hectares. It has a parking lot for over 1,100 vehicles. At present, the tower is the 3rd tallest building in Indonesia and 74th tallest building in the world. The tower is a mixed office and hotel building.Construction of the tower was started in 2011. The tower was topped off in 2015 and opened in August 2016. At that time, the construction cost of the building was around Rp2 trillion (about US$150 million in 2016).Gama Tower is a luxury office tower which applies green building concepts and development. Westin Hotel occupies the top 20 floors of the tower, between the 50th and 69th floors. 360 degree views of Jakarta can be observed from the restaurant at the 51st floor. Henshin operates a club and lounge at the 67th floor as well as restaurant at 68th and 69th floor, the topmost floor of the tower. A function hall is also located within the 69th floor. The rest of the floors are executive office spaces.

Capital Place Jakarta is a mixed development complex at Jalan Jenderal Gatot Subroto in South Jakarta, Indonesia. Capital Place Office Tower is part of the complex, which also occupies by Four Seasons Hotel. The office tower is a 215.1 meter tall, has 48 floors above & 6 floors below the ground. The tower tapers as it gets higher, with lower floors offering floor plates of 2,500 sqm. The middle floors are 2,100 sqm and the premium space at the top has a floor-plate of 1,800 sqm. The tower is built environmentally friendly with features include daylight and motion sensors for the interior lighting, such as in the bathrooms and stairwells. The tower is connected with the hotel building by a multilevel retail podium. There are also 1,350 car-park spaces in the complex.

Bakrie University (Indonesian: Universitas Bakrie or informally U-Bakrie) is a private university in Jakarta, Indonesia, founded in 2009. It is located in Rasuna Epicentrum Jl. HR Rasuna Said Kav C-22, Kuningan, South Jakarta. The university was established by the Yayasan Pendidikan Bakrie (Bakrie Education Foundation). In April 2011, ground was broken for a new campus at Bogor Nirwana Residence.

Perbanas Institute is a tertiary school in South Jakarta, Jakarta, Indonesia. Founded on February 19, 1969, by the National General Banks Association (Perbanas), the institute focuses on banking, finance and informatics. Established to meet the needs of banking personnel, it was organized by the Banks Association Education Foundation (Yayasan Pendidikan Perbanas, or YPP).
