Maheu River

The Rivière Lafleur, sometimes called Rivière à la Fleur, is a watercourse of the Île d'Orléans located between the Maheu River and the village of Saint-Jean-de-l'Île-d'Orléans. Its course is exclusively in the municipality of Saint-Jean-de-l'Île-d'Orléans, in the L'Île-d'Orléans Regional County Municipality, in the administrative region of Capitale-Nationale, in the province of Quebec, in Canada. It flows into a small harbour in the St. Lawrence River. It has long offered in its mouth a shelter for fishing boats stranded at low tide. The lower part of this small valley is served by Chemin Royale (route 368) which runs along the southeast shore of Île d'Orléans. Agriculture is the main economic activity in the upper part of this valley.The surface of the Lafleur River is generally frozen from the beginning of December until the end of March; however, safe circulation on the ice is generally done from mid-December to mid-March. The water level of the river varies with the seasons and the precipitation; the spring flood occurs in March or April.

Île d'Orléans (French pronunciation: [il d‿ɔʁleɑ̃]; English: Island of Orleans) is an island located in the Saint Lawrence River about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) east of downtown Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. It was one of the first parts of the province to be colonized by the French, and a large percentage of French Canadians can trace ancestry to early residents of the island. The island has been described as the "microcosm of traditional Quebec and as the birthplace of francophones in North America."It has about 7,000 inhabitants, spread over 6 villages. The island is accessible from the mainland via the Île d'Orléans Bridge from Beauport. Route 368 is the sole provincial route on the island, which crosses the bridge and circles the perimeter of the island. At the village of Sainte-Pétronille toward the western end of the island, a viewpoint overlooks the impressive Chute Montmorency (Montmorency Falls), as well as a panorama of the St. Lawrence River and Quebec City.

Saint-Michel-de-Bellechasse is a municipality of about 1,800 people about 20 km east of Lévis, in Bellechasse Regional County Municipality in the Chaudière-Appalaches region of Quebec, Canada. It is a mostly rural community, and it was chosen as one of the Most Beautiful Villages of Quebec in Quebec. Route 281 passes through it.

L'Île-d'Orléans is a regional county municipality in central Quebec, Canada, in the Capitale-Nationale region. Its seat is Sainte-Famille-de-l'Île-d'Orléans. The population in the 2016 census was 7,082 people.The RCM consists solely of the Île d'Orléans, an island in the Saint Lawrence River just east of Quebec City. It is the smallest RCM in Quebec in terms of land area (though not in total area including water).

Saint-Jean-de-l'Île-d'Orléans is a municipality in the Capitale-Nationale region of Quebec, Canada. It is part of the L'Île-d'Orléans Regional County Municipality, on the southeastern side of Île d'Orléans. Prior to April 5, 2003, it was known simply as Saint-Jean.

It is situated on the south side of Orléans Island. Prior to June 6, 1998 it was known simply as Saint-Laurent. Saint-Laurent has been twinned with Tourouvre in France since 1982.

It flows on the north shore of the Saint Lawrence river, in the unorganized territory of Lac-Jacques-Cartier, as well as the municipalities of Beaupré and Château-Richer, in the La Côte-de-Beaupré Regional County Municipality in the administrative region of Capitale-Nationale, in the province of Quebec, in Canada. This small valley is served by the D'Auteuil road which passes on the east side of the river. Forestry is the main economic activity in this valley; second-hand tourist activities. Sainte-Famille-de-l'Île-d'Orléans (Sainte-Famille prior to September 12, 2017) is a municipality in the L'Île-d'Orléans Regional County Municipality, Quebec, Canada, part of the administrative region of Capitale-Nationale. It is situated along the western shores of Island of Orléans. Founded in 1661, Sainte-Famille-de-l'Île-d'Orléans is the oldest settlement on l'île d'Orléans and has one of the most important concentrations of houses of the old French regime.

The water level of the river varies with the seasons and the precipitation; the spring flood occurs in March or April.

Beaumont is a municipality of about 2,900 people 10 km east of Lévis, next to the Saint Lawrence River, in the Bellechasse Regional County Municipality in the Chaudière-Appalaches region of Quebec. It is a mostly rural community, with most people working in Lévis as there are no major businesses in Beaumont. It was chosen as one of the top 20 nicest villages in the province of Quebec. It is crossed by Route 132, with many of its shops and commodities built alongside it. A few small streets are attached to the road, but the rest of the municipality is divided using the seigneurial system. The many open fields in Beaumont stretch all the way to the Saint Lawrence river, giving the visitors a large panorama.

Château-Richer is a small town situated in the Capitale-Nationale region of Quebec, Canada. Located on the north shore of the Saint Lawrence River east of Quebec City. It is the seat for the Côte-de-Beaupré Regional County Municipality. The first rural parish in New France was established in 1678, by the members of La Compagnie-des-Cents-Associés. Château-Richer was the first home to Quebec's oldest families (les Greniers, Giroux, Vachons, Bélangers, Juchereaux, Cloutiers) with descendants remaining to this day. In fact, a fairly large segment of the town's population can be traced back to those enterprising pioneers tasked with establishing a fur-trading post while increasing the population. The town stretches for several miles alongside Route 138. This road, originally known as Le Chemin-du-Roy (The King’s Road) or Le Chemin-Royal (The Royal Road), would later be renamed l’Avenue Royale . It is among the first roads to be built in North America.
