Tingstadstunneln (Tingstad Tunnel) is a motorway tunnel under the Göta älv, connecting Hisingen with mainland Gothenburg. The tunnel was constructed with two parallel immersed tubes with three lanes of traffic in each tube. It is part of the E6 route linking Norway with south-west Sweden.Construction started on 17 January 1961, and the tunnel was inaugurated at 11:30 am on 29 March 1968.The tunnel has the lowest motorway elevation in Sweden, at 15 m (49 ft) below sea level (nearby Götatunneln is lower and designed like a motorway but not signposted as one). The tunnel has severe traffic congestion problems since several years, so therefore a new tunnel is built a little farther north, Marieholmstunneln, to be opened in 2020.

Skansen Lejonet ("the Lion Sconce"), formally Westgötha Leijon ("the Westrogothic Lion"), is a redoubt on the hill Gullberg in Gothenburg, Sweden, built in 1687-92 on the site of an earlier medieval castle. It was decommissioned in 1822 and has since served a range of other purposes. The fortress and its twin, Skansen Kronan, were built to protect the city of Gothenburg against possible Danish attack, and thus had a similar purpose to the sea fort of New Älvsborg, which was built around the same time.

Bergslagsbanans station is an historic railway station in Gothenburg, Sweden. It is designated under number 21300000027694 by the Swedish National Heritage Board. It was designed by brothers Axel Kumlien and Hjalmar Kumlien in 1881 for the Bergslagernas Järnvägar (Bergslagen Railway, BJ). The crest of the BJ can be seen above the right entrance of the station; it symbolizes ironwork and was the trademark of the railway company.

Gamla Ullevi (Swedish pronunciation: [ˈɡâmːla ˈɵ̂lːɛˌviː]) is a football stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden, that opened on 5 April 2009. The stadium replaced the city's previous main football stadium, also called Gamla Ullevi, and is the home ground of GAIS, IFK Göteborg and Örgryte IS. It is also the national stadium for the Sweden women's national football team. The new stadium was built on the ground of the now-demolished old stadium. The construction of the stadium was surrounded by controversy, regarding the cost of the project, the alleged low standard of the finished stadium, as well as its name. The first competitive match at the stadium on 5 April 2009 was also an Allsvenskan derby between Örgryte IS and GAIS, attracting 17,531 spectators. GAIS won, 5–1. The current attendance record of 18,276 was, however, set about a week later when IFK Göteborg played their first game at Gamla Ullevi against Djurgårdens IF. The stadium hosted the 2021 UEFA Women's Champions League Final between Chelsea and Barcelona.

Gamla Ullevi (Swedish pronunciation: [ˈɡâmːla ˈɵ̂lːɛˌviː], "Old Ullevi") was a football stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden. Named Ullevi until 1958 when Nya ("New") Ullevi opened, it was built in 1915–1916 and opened on 17 September 1916 with the game between IFK Göteborg-AB København (2–2). It had a capacity of 15,000 to 18,000, depending on usage. The record attendance is 32,357 and was set 2 May 1957, when Örgryte IS played IF Elfsborg. IF Elfsborg won 2–1.Demolition of Gamla Ullevi began on 9 January 2007 at 11.15 AM local time. The stadium has been replaced with a new football stadium. The new stadium, opened on 5 April 2009, has been named Gamla Ullevi as well.

The Nils Ericson Terminal is a major bus terminus in Gothenburg, Sweden. It is placed in the city center just next to Gothenburg Central Station (Centralstationen), and across the street from the main Nordstan shopping center. The main street and most hotels are within walking distance from the terminal. The terminal serves many parts of the Västra Götaland County with bus traffic (although many regional destinations are primarily served by regional trains). Bus companies such as Flixbus, Bus4You, Nettbuss express, Swebus Express and Eurolines serve destinations such as Oslo, Stockholm and Copenhagen. With bus changes, a lot of destinations can be reached. The bus terminal uses the modern system where buses arrive at gates, and the passengers enter the buses directly from the air-conditioned terminal, much like in modern airports. There are 18 gates indoors (numbered 21-38). There are also 11 gates outdoors with simple shelters (39-49). The terminal is named after Nils Ericson, a Swedish inventor and mechanical engineer, and brother to John Ericsson. The terminal was designed by the Norwegian architect, Nils Torp, and received the national Kasper Salin Prize in 1996.

The Clarion Hotel Post is a hotel and conference facility at Drottningtorget in central Gothenburg, Sweden. Designed by Semrén & Månsson, the hotel was built in the former Posthuset (post office building) of Gothenburg, with the addition of a modern tower. It opened on 26 January 2012. The hotel is owned by the Swedish firm Home Properties, which is controlled by the Norwegian billionaire Petter Stordalen. It is operated by Nordic Choice Hotels (which is also owned by Stordalen) under the trademark Clarion Hotels. The hotel's main entrance is from Drottningtorget and the rear entrance is from Åkareplatsen. Clarion Hotel Post has 500 rooms including three suites, a large event room that can accommodate 1,000 people and 17 meeting rooms. There are three restaurants and bars, bistro, bar and grill and a rooftop pool with good views of the city. With a total area of 36,700 square meters the conversion and extension cost a total of 1.4 billion Swedish kronor.

Gothenburg Central Station (Swedish: Göteborgs centralstation, Göteborg C) is the main railway station of Gothenburg and it is the oldest railway station in Sweden still in use. The station serves 27 million passengers per year, making it the second largest railway station in Sweden after Stockholm Central Station which it predates by 13 years. The station opened on October 4, 1858. The station is situated in the city of Gothenburg, right by Drottningtorget. The Gothenburg Central Station, Centralhuset and Nils Ericson Terminalen are a part of Resecentrum, Göteborg. Gothenburg Central Station is owned and administered by Jernhusen.

Ullevi, sometimes known as Nya Ullevi (Swedish: [(ˈnŷːa) ˈɵ̂lːɛˌviː], New Ullevi), is a multi-purpose stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden. It was built for the 1958 FIFA World Cup, but since then has also hosted the World Allround Speed Skating Championships six times; the 1995 World Championships in Athletics and the 2006 European Athletics Championships; the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup finals in 1983 and 1990; the UEFA Euro 1992 final, the UEFA Cup final in 2004; and annually hosted the opening ceremony of the Gothia Cup, the world's largest football tournament in terms of the number of participants. IFK Göteborg has also played two UEFA Cup finals at the stadium, in 1982 and 1987, but then as "home game" in a home and away final. The stadium has hosted several events, including football, ice hockey, boxing, racing, athletics and concerts. The stadium is one of the biggest in the Nordic countries, with a seating capacity of 43,000 and a total capacity of 75,000 for concerts.

Bältespännarparken (Swedish: [ˈbɛ̂ltɛˌspɛnːarpaɾkɛn], unofficially known as The Belt Bucklers Park) is the informal name for a section of Kungsparken in central Gothenburg, Sweden. It is located directly across from the Stora Teatern at the intersection of Kungsportsavenyen and the main entrance to the Garden Society of Gothenburg.
