Llambilles is a village in the province of Girona and autonomous community of Catalonia, Spain. The municipality covers an area of 14.55 square kilometres (5.62 sq mi), and the population in 2014 was 738.The first written mention "Lambiliolas" dates to the year 999. The etymology of the name is unknown and probably pre-Roman.The main economic activity is the primary sector: grain cultivation in the plain and exploitation of the forest for the cork industry in the massif. During the twentieth century the population stagnated around 400. Since the end of the century, the development of new housing developments has grown. There is an industrial estate "Les Conques" where a distribution company and a paper mill were mainly established.Between 1892 and 1969, the village was connected to the city of Girona and the port of Sant Feliu de Guíxols by the narrow gauge Sant Feliu de Guíxols–Girona railway. The line has since been converted into a greenway.

The Onyar (Onyar in Catalan, Undarius in Latin) is a Spanish river in Girona, Catalonia that begins at the Guilleries massif at the apex of the Catalan Transversal Range and the Pre-Coastal Range. It joins the Ter at the city of Girona, and crosses the city from south to north, separating the city into the old part (on the right side) and the more modern part (on the left side). During its course through the city, the Onyar river is joined by the waters coming from the Monar or Conda irrigation channel (which in turn comes from the Ter river), a channel that used to irrigate the orchards in the "Mercadal" area. As it journeys further north, the river converges with the Güell and the Galligans rivers near the crossing with the railway. Finally, it merges into the Ter river near the Pedret neighborhood. Over the years, the Onyar and Güell rivers have been associated with notable flood events that have had a profound impact on the city. The period spanning from 1970 to 1985 was particularly devastating, resulting in significant material losses. These floods are documented to have affected over 75% of the city, causing disruption to approximately 2000 commercial and industrial establishments, as well as damaging or destroying 500 vehiclesThe river flows alongside a charming tourist destination known as the Onyar's houses ("Casas del Onyar" in Catalan), comprising a vibrant ensemble of homes that have become iconic subjects for postcards and tourist literature

Jaume Vicens Vives Secondary School (Institut Jaume Vicens Vives in Catalan) is a Spanish state secondary school located in the city of Girona (Spain). It has around 900 pupils from ages 12 to 18 studying for Spanish secondary education qualifications (ESO from 12 to 16, and LOE Baccalaureate from 16 to 18). It was the first state secondary school in Catalonia to offer the International Baccalaureate.

Les Gavarres or Massís de les Gavarres is a mountain massif in Catalonia, Spain. It is part of the Catalan Coastal Range. The highest point is Puig d'Arques, 532 m. Other important summits are Mare de Déu dels Àngels (485 m) and Santa Pellaia (353 m).
