Scott Lake is a lake in Thurston County, Washington, United States. It is located 3.2 miles (5.1 km) south of the Tumwater city limits, 8.4 miles (13.5 km) south of the Olympia city limits, and 14.1 miles (22.7 km) north of the Centralia city limits. The location for Scott Lake is in Sections 33 and 34, Township 17N, Range 2W, Willamette Meridian.The lake receives its water from a creek that comes out of Deep Lake. The creek is officially unnamed, but is referred to as Spruce Creek by the Millersylvania State Park. The creek that flows out of Scott Lake is officially named Allen Creek. Allen Creek flows into Beaver Creek, a tributary of the Black River. Thus it is part of the Chehalis River watershed. A nine-hole golf course that is opened to the public, and a private park opened only to residents of the Scott Lake Community are located next to the lake. Eurasian water-milfoil (myriophyllum spicatum), an invasive species, was found in the lake in the spring of 1996.The area is subject to occasional flooding in winter. Its causes are being studied.

Maytown is an unincorporated community in Thurston County, in the U.S. state of Washington. The community is situated off I-5 and is east of Littlerock.

Deep Lake is a 66-acre (27 ha) body of water lying eight miles (13 km) south of Olympia in Thurston County, Washington. It is 17 feet (5.2 m) deep at its deepest point and has a water volume of 771 acre-feet (951,000 m3). The lake drains into Black River by way of Beaver Creek and Scott Lake. Deep Lake is located in Section 3, Township 16N, Range 2W, Willamette. The lake is bordered on two sides by Millersylvania State Park. An RV resort camp occupies the lake's eastern shore. The lake's fish population includes stocked rainbow trout and naturally reproducing largemouth bass, bluegill, yellow perch, and pumpkinseed.

Millersylvania State Park is a public recreation area located on Deep Lake eight miles (13 km) south of Olympia, Washington. The state park's 903 acres (365 ha) include old-growth cedar and fir trees as well as 3,300 feet (1,000 m) of freshwater shoreline. In 2009, the park was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in recognition of its well-preserved Civilian Conservation Corps landscape. It is managed by the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission.

A.G. West Black Hills High School (BHHS) is a public secondary school in Tumwater, Washington serving grades 9–12 in Thurston County. A part of the Tumwater School District, BHHS serves approximately 1,000 students each year. It is situated on 41 acres, and includes a 188,000 square foot building with parking and athletic fields to support high school and community programs. The Black Hills High School staff is composed of 3 Administrators, 52 teachers, 3 counselors, 8 Educational Assistants, and 25 Support Staff.

Pitman Lake is a lake in the U.S. state of Washington. The lake has a surface area of 27 acres (11 ha) and reaches a depth of 15 feet (4.6 m).Pitman Lake has the name of Jesse Pitman, a local landholder.

Belmore is an unincorporated community in Thurston County, in the U.S. state of Washington. The community lies east of nearby Black Lake and is approximately southwest of Tumwater.

Littlerock is an unincorporated community in Thurston County, Washington, United States. Littlerock is 11 miles (18 km) southwest of Olympia. The town is west of Interstate 5 and Maytown. Littlerock is located near several protected lands, such as the Mima Mounds Natural Area Preserve and Capitol State Forest.

Tumwater High School is a secondary school in Tumwater, Washington serving grades 9–12 in Thurston County. It is one of two comprehensive high schools in the Tumwater School District. Tumwater High School generally draws students from the portions of the Tumwater School District east of Interstate 5 and the Littlerock area west of I-5. Tumwater High School caters to its student population by having an extended parking lot, called "overflow", which allows for some ease whilst parking. During bus arrival, there are usual delays to the ability to park.

Logan Drew Schiendelman (born June 27, 1996—disappeared May 19, 2016) is an American man who disappeared under mysterious circumstances in Thurston County, Washington in May 2016. The son of a mixed-race mother and a Saudi Arabian father, Schiendelman was raised primarily by his grandmother in Tumwater, Washington, where he was a star athlete at Tumwater High School. After attending Washington State University for one year, he decided to drop out of college and return to Tumwater, where he worked several jobs and moved in with his grandmother and half-sister. Schiendelman was last seen by his grandmother on the morning of May 19, 2016, when the two talked in their kitchen before leaving for their respective jobs. On May 20, 2016, Schiendelman's Chrysler Sebring was discovered abandoned along the southbound lane of Interstate 5 in Rochester, approximately 20 miles (32 km) south of his residence in Tumwater, with his wallet, driver's license, and cell phone still inside. Around 2:00 p.m. a witness placed a 9-1-1 call after witnessing Schiendelman's vehicle swerving across three lanes of the interstate; after the vehicle crashed into the center median, the witness stated he saw a man, 6 ft tall and white, exit the vehicle from the passenger side and run into the woods along the interstate. A search was done with cadaver and tracking dogs in those woods for six hours but to no avail. Neither Schiendelman nor any trace of him was found. Some time later, after news of his disappearance began circulating, a witness called in to report seeing Schiendelman on the day his vehicle was found on the highway, though her claim differs from the only other eyewitness who reported seeing him that day. She reported seeing a man resembling Schiendelman standing outside the parked car on Interstate 5 earlier that morning, accompanied by two white men. A sketch was made of one of the unknown men but the identity still remains a mystery. As of 2023, Schiendelman's whereabouts remain unknown. His disappearance was profiled in 2018 on the Investigation Discovery series Disappeared, and in 2023 on Dateline NBC's podcast Missing in America.

Waddell Creek is a stream in Thurston County in the U.S. state of Washington. It is a tributary to the Black River.Waddell Creek was named after the family of Robert Waddell, which settled near its course in the 1850s.
