Chastleton House

The Church of St Mary the Virgin is the Church of England parish church of Chastleton, Oxfordshire, England. It is a parish church in the parish of Little Compton, along with those of Cornwell, Daylesford and Little Rollright. The parish is part of the Team Benefice of Chipping Norton, along with the parishes of Chipping Norton with Over Norton, Churchill and Kingham. The Benefice of Chipping Norton is part of the Diocese of Oxford.The church was built in about AD 1100 and enlarged in 1320. The present bell-tower was added in 1689. The church was restored in 1878–80 to designs by CE Powell and is a Grade II* listed building.

Adlestrop () is a village and civil parish in the Cotswolds, 3 miles (5 km) east of Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire, England, on the county boundary with Oxfordshire. The River Evenlode forms the southwest boundary of the parish. The village is on a stream that flows southwest to join the river. The A436 road, which links the A44 road in Oxfordshire with Stow-on-the-Wold, passes through the parish just south of the village. The Cotswold Line railway passes along the Evenlode valley southwest of the village and until 1966 had a station here. Since 1935 the parish of Adlestrop has included the village of Daylesford. The 2011 Census recorded the parish population as 120.

Evenlode is a village and civil parish (ONS Code 23UC051) in the Cotswold District of eastern Gloucestershire in England.Evenlode is bordered by the Gloucestershire parishes of Moreton-in-Marsh to the northwest, Longborough and Donnington to the west, Broadwell to the southwest, and Adlestrop to the southeast; and by the Oxfordshire parish of Chastleton to the east.At Evenlode's northern tip is the Four shire stone, whose name predates the parish's 1931 transfer from Worcestershire; here at a point between Moreton-in-Marsh and Chastleton are the Warwickshire parishes of Little Compton and Great Wolford, as well as Batsford in Gloucestershire. At its southern tip, between Broadwell and Adlestrop, Evenlode meets the parish of Oddington at a point.

Adlestrop railway station was a railway station which served the village of Adlestrop in Gloucestershire, England, between 1853 and 1966. It was on what is now called the Cotswold Line. The station was immortalised in the poem "Adlestrop" by Edward Thomas after his train stopped there on 24 June 1914.

Daylesford is a small, privately owned village in Gloucestershire, England, on the border with Oxfordshire. It is situated just south of the A436 two miles east of Stow-on-the-Wold and five miles west of Chipping Norton. The village is on the north bank of the small River Evenlode. This area falls within the Cotswold Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so designated in 1966.

It is about 5 miles (8.0 km) east of Stow-on-the-Wold and 5 miles (8.0 km) west of Chipping Norton. The village of Daylesford lies nearby to the west, Adlestrop to the north, Cornwell to the east, and Kingham to the south, The house has been listed Grade I on the National Heritage List for England since 1960, and its gardens were subsequently Grade II* listed on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens in 1986.The grounds include an orangery in late 18th century Gothick style, which has a separate Grade I listing. The stable block and ice house in the grounds are also separately Grade II listed.

Little Compton is a village and civil parish in the Stratford-on-Avon district, in south Warwickshire, England, and is located about three miles of Moreton-in-Marsh. Historically an exclave of Gloucestershire, the centre of the village is home to the Reed Business School, under the company of the same name (Reed), and is owned by Sir Alec Reed.

The village is in the extreme south of Warwickshire, close to the borders with Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire. There is a church, dedicated to St Lawrence.Robert Dover, organizer of the Cotswold Olimpick games, died at Shirley Farm, Barton in July 1652. His grandson, the lawyer and playwright, John Dover, was born there in October 1644.Thomas Dover was born here in 1660.
