Champlain Bridge (Montreal, 2019–present)

The Champlain Bridge (French: Pont Champlain) was a steel truss cantilever bridge with approach viaducts constructed of prestressed concrete beams supporting a prestressed concrete deck paved with asphalt. The bridge crossed the Saint Lawrence River, connecting the Island of Montreal to its South Shore suburbs. Opened in 1962, the structure was degraded by de-icing salt. In 2015, construction began 100 m (330 ft) downstream on a replacement bridge designed to handle higher volumes of traffic. The old Champlain Bridge was closed to traffic, exactly 57 years after its opening, while its replacement bridge was opened 4 days later. Demolition began in 2020. It took almost four years, and cost about $400 million.Together with the Jacques Cartier Bridge, it was administered by the Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI), a Canadian Crown Corporation which reports to Infrastructure Canada. Since December 21, 1978, JCCBI was responsible for the management, maintenance and monitoring of the Champlain Bridge.The bridge saw about 50 million crossings per year, of which 200,000 were buses. On an average weekday, 66% of users were commuters. It was one of the busiest bridges in Canada upon its closure in 2019, Hogg's Hollow Bridge is the busiest overall.

The Country Club of Montreal (French: Le Country club de Montréal) is a private 18-hole golf course located in Saint-Lambert, Quebec, Canada. Originally dedicated to polo, the club's vocation changed to golf on November 17, 1910, making it the second oldest golf course in Greater Montreal. Originally a 9-hole golf course, 9 more holes were added in subsequent years, and in 1974, the course was redesigned and modernized by Roy Dye of Pete Dye and Associates.The course is 6,725 yards for a par of 72, and features a course rating of 72.8 and a slope rating of 135.

Préville is a neighbourhood in Saint-Lambert, Quebec and a former city. Excised from part of the Cité de Jacques-Cartier's territory on March 11, 1948, Préville existed as city in its own right until it was absorbed into the city of Saint-Lambert in 1969. Préville is located in the westernmost part of Saint-Lambert, to the west of the Country Club of Montreal golf club. Préville was built up primarily in the period following World War II.

Île-des-Soeurs station is a Réseau express métropolitain (REM) station on Nuns' Island in Montreal's borough of Verdun. It is operated by CDPQ Infra and serves as a station on the South Shore branch of the REM.It is located between the headquarters of Bell Canada (to the north) and the Place du Commerce shopping centre (to the south) atop Highway 10/A 15. It opened on 31 July 2023.

Saint-Lambert was a federal electoral district in the Canadian province of Quebec. It was first represented in the House of Commons of Canada in 1997. Its population in 2006 was 94,541. It has been replaced by Brossard—Saint-Lambert.

The Victoria Bridge (French: Pont Victoria), previously known as Victoria Jubilee Bridge, is a bridge over the St. Lawrence River, linking Montreal, Quebec, to the south shore city of Saint-Lambert. Opened in 1859, originally as a tubular bridge designed by Robert Stephenson, the bridge was the first to span the St. Lawrence River, and as such is an important historic bridge in Canada. It remains in use to this day, carrying both road and rail traffic, with rails in the middle and roadways (part of Route 112) on both sides. It is actively used by the Canadian National Railway on its Halifax to Montreal main line. It is a major contributor to Montreal's role as a continental hub in the North American rail system. Its designation for the Canadian National Railway (CNR commonly known as CN) is Mile 71.40 Subdivision St-Hyacinthe. Originally named the Great Victoria Bridge in honour of Queen Victoria, it was officially rededicated as the Victoria Jubilee Bridge following renovations in 1897. It was returned to the name Victoria Bridge (Pont Victoria) in 1978.The bridge is approximately 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) long, and includes 24 ice-breaking piers.

The Parc d'entreprises de la Pointe-Saint-Charles, formerly known as the Montreal Technoparc and Adaport Victoria, is an industrial park and former industrial dump in the Pointe-Saint-Charles neighbourhood of Montreal, between the Champlain and Victoria bridges.

Victoria STOLport (IATA: YMY, ICAO: CYMY) was a short take-off and landing aerodrome near downtown Montreal during the mid-1970s. The STOLport had been constructed on the former parking lot for Expo 67. The airport operated a two-year STOL demonstration service, with the participation of the Ministry of Transportation, the Canadian Air Transport Administration and other Federal Agencies in order to obtain and evaluate the data on passengers and economics of the STOL service. The choice of the route fell on the Montreal – Ottawa corridor, between which 2.5 million people travelled every year. The STOLport in Ottawa was Rockcliffe Airport because of its proximity to downtown. Airtransit Canada, a wholly owned subsidiary of Air Canada was incorporated on June 19, 1973 with six de Havilland DHC-6-300 (M.O.T.) Twin Otter, registered as CF-CST, CF-CSU, CF-CSV, CF-CSW, CF-CSX, CF-CSY, while regular flights started in early 1974. At the end of the demonstration, the service was discontinued and the STOLport decommissioned and eventually turned into the Montreal Technoparc technology park.

Nuns' Island (officially Île des Sœurs; French pronunciation: [il de sœʁ]) is an island located in the Saint Lawrence River that forms a part of the city of Montreal, Quebec. It is part of the borough of Verdun.

Victoria Airport (IATA: YMY, ICAO: CYMY) was a short takeoff and landing (STOL) aircraft landing strip located near downtown Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It was the result of a research program launched by the Government of Canada, and was served exclusively by Airtransit, a corporation that served as a technological showcase for the Canadian STOL industry. The airport was built on a former parking lot from Expo 67, and was decommissioned less than two years after its inauguration on April 30, 1976, as Airtransit experienced mixed success and technical constraints.

The Nuns' Island gas station was a modernist-style filling station in Montreal built in 1969 from a project of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. Closed for several years, it was later converted to a community centre.It was the first gas station on the island, commissioned by Imperial Oil.

Saint-Lambert (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ lɑ̃bɛʁ] , locally [sɛ̃ lɑ̃baɛ̯ʁ]) is a city (French: ville) in southwestern Quebec, Canada, located on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River, opposite Montreal. It is part of the Urban agglomeration of Longueuil of the Montérégie administrative region. It was home to 22,745 people according to Thomas Brinkhoff. Saint-Lambert is divided into two main sections: the original city of Saint-Lambert and the Préville neighbourhood. The original city of Saint-Lambert (as it existed prior to 1969) is located from the Country Club of Montreal golf course to the border of the Le Vieux-Longueuil borough. It includes the city's downtown, known as "The Village". On the other side of the Country Club of Montreal is the former city of Préville, which merged with Saint-Lambert in 1969. It extends to the borders of the city of Brossard and the Longueuil borough of Greenfield Park. Saint-Lambert was named for the early French Canadian hunter Lambert Closse.
