Saint-Lambert (electoral district)

Saint-Lambert station in Saint-Lambert, Quebec, Canada, serves Exo commuter rail, Via Rail and Amtrak intercity rail, and RTL buses. It is located at 329 Avenue Saint-Denis at the corner of Avenue Victoria. The station is served by two Via Rail lines: the Ocean and Ottawa-Quebec City Corridor service, and one Amtrak train, the Adirondack, which links to New York City. It is also used by Exo for commuter rail service on the Mont-Saint-Hilaire line. There are four local buses routes stopping at this station. The station was staffed by VIA Rail ticket agents until 25 October 2012. Since then, it has been unstaffed, but the station building is open before and after train arrival and departure times, to serve as a shelter for waiting passengers. It is not wheelchair-accessible. It is in ARTM fare zone B, and has 320 parking spaces. Prior to the reform of the ARTM's fare system in July 2022, it was in zone 3.The station serves as the Via Rail station for nearby Longueuil, which does not have an intercity rail station of its own. In 2012, plans were announced for the Adirondack to bypass the station entirely in the near future, following the opening of a new U.S. Customs preclearance facility at Montreal's Central Station. Under this scenario, Saint-Lambert would be dropped from the Adirondack route to expedite scheduling. As of March 2017, the United States Congress had passed the necessary legislation and the Parliament of Canada was considering it.

The Country Club of Montreal (French: Le Country club de Montréal) is a private 18-hole golf course located in Saint-Lambert, Quebec, Canada. Originally dedicated to polo, the club's vocation changed to golf on November 17, 1910, making it the second oldest golf course in Greater Montreal. Originally a 9-hole golf course, 9 more holes were added in subsequent years, and in 1974, the course was redesigned and modernized by Roy Dye of Pete Dye and Associates.The course is 6,725 yards for a par of 72, and features a course rating of 72.8 and a slope rating of 135.

Préville is a neighbourhood in Saint-Lambert, Quebec and a former city. Excised from part of the Cité de Jacques-Cartier's territory on March 11, 1948, Préville existed as city in its own right until it was absorbed into the city of Saint-Lambert in 1969. Préville is located in the westernmost part of Saint-Lambert, to the west of the Country Club of Montreal golf club. Préville was built up primarily in the period following World War II.

Saint-Lambert (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ lɑ̃bɛʁ] , locally [sɛ̃ lɑ̃baɛ̯ʁ]) is a city (French: ville) in southwestern Quebec, Canada, located on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River, opposite Montreal. It is part of the Urban agglomeration of Longueuil of the Montérégie administrative region. It was home to 22,745 people according to Thomas Brinkhoff. Saint-Lambert is divided into two main sections: the original city of Saint-Lambert and the Préville neighbourhood. The original city of Saint-Lambert (as it existed prior to 1969) is located from the Country Club of Montreal golf course to the border of the Le Vieux-Longueuil borough. It includes the city's downtown, known as "The Village". On the other side of the Country Club of Montreal is the former city of Préville, which merged with Saint-Lambert in 1969. It extends to the borders of the city of Brossard and the Longueuil borough of Greenfield Park. Saint-Lambert was named for the early French Canadian hunter Lambert Closse.

Saint-Lambert International High School (previously known as Chambly Academy or Chambly County High School) is a public secondary school, in Saint-Lambert, Quebec, Canada. It is located at 675 Green Street and borders the Club De Golf St-Lambert. It is the only English-language secondary school in Saint Lambert and is part of the Riverside School Board. It offers an International Baccalaureate program, and has had a student population ranging from 400 to 750 students (during a baby boom peak in the early 1970s). The school is currently home to approximately 500 students.

Le Moyne (also known as Ville Le Moyne, formerly known as LeMoyne) is a neighbourhood in Longueuil, Quebec, part of the borough of Le Vieux-Longueuil, and a former city. Le Moyne makes up 2% of the total area of Le Vieux-Longueuil borough and is the only neighbourhood of the borough that was not part of the pre-2002 city of Longueuil. Residents of Le Moyne are called Le Moynois. The municipal electoral district of Le Moyne-Jacques-Cartier corresponds to the territory of Le Moyne, along with a portion from the former city of Longueuil.

The 2004 Molson Indy Montreal was the tenth round of the 2004 Bridgestone Presents the Champ Car World Series Powered by Ford season, held on August 29, 2004 at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, Quebec. Sébastien Bourdais took the pole and his teammate Bruno Junqueira won the race.

The 2012 NAPA Auto Parts 200 was the sixth running of the NAPA Auto Parts 200 race, a discontinued NASCAR Nationwide Series event that was held on August 18, 2012, at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, Quebec. This was the final race ever held in Montreal for the NASCAR Nationwide Series and took place on a temporary road course. The scheduled total distance of the racing event was 200.5 miles or 322.7 kilometres. However, NASCAR officials decided to lengthen this race in an attempt to implement two attempts at a green-white-checkered finish. Kyle Busch was the most favored driver at this racing event; with sports gambling websites giving him 5-to-2 odds for winning.

The 2003 Canadian Grand Prix was a Formula One motor race held on 15 June 2003 at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. Michael Schumacher took the win, despite nursing an ailing car home towards the end of the race, with the Williamses of Ralf Schumacher and Juan Pablo Montoya right behind him, and the Renault of Fernando Alonso not far behind them. This was the fourth time that the Schumacher brothers had finished 1-2, having become the first siblings to do so at the 2001 Canadian Grand Prix.

The Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, also spelled Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve (French pronunciation: [siʁ.kɥi ʒil vilnœv]), is a 4.361 km (2.710 mi) motor racing circuit on Notre Dame Island in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is the venue for the FIA Formula One Canadian Grand Prix. It has previously hosted the FIA World Sportscar Championship, the Champ Car World Series (Grand Prix of Montreal), the NASCAR Pinty’s Series, the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NAPA Auto Parts 200), and the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series.

The 2000 Canadian Grand Prix (formally the Grand Prix Air Canada 2000) was a Formula One motor race held on 18 June 2000 at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Montreal, Quebec, Canada before 100,000 people. It was the eighth round of the 2000 Formula One World Championship and the 38th Canadian Grand Prix. Ferrari's Michael Schumacher won the 69-lap race from pole position. His teammate Rubens Barrichello finished second with Benetton's Giancarlo Fisichella third. Michael Schumacher led the World Drivers' Championship going into the race, while Ferrari led the World Constructors' Championship. He started alongside McLaren driver David Coulthard after qualifying on pole position. Barrichello began from third, alongside Coulthard's teammate Mika Häkkinen. Michael Schumacher and Coulthard battled for first place until Coulthard served a ten-second stop-go penalty on lap 14 because mechanics worked on his car 15 seconds before the race began. Michael Schumacher took an early pit stop just before half-distance, allowing Barrichello to lead the race until his own pit stop on lap 43. Rain had begun to fall by this point, and drivers had switched to wet-weather tyres. Michael Schumacher maintained his lead for the rest of the race and won by one-tenth of a second over Barrichello. Michael Schumacher won his fifth race of 2000 and his 40th overall. It increased his lead in the World Drivers' Championship to 22 points over Coulthard, with Häkkinen another two points behind. Ferrari extended their World Constructors' Championship lead to 18 points over McLaren. Benetton, with 18 points, demoted the Williams squad to fourth place with nine races remaining in the season.
