NJPAC/Center Street station is a light rail station on the Newark Light Rail's Broad Street Extension. It is located in Downtown Newark, New Jersey, on the south west corner of the McCarter Highway and Center Street at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) at the northern end of Military Park. The station is above ground, as is the rest of the line to the north. To the south, after crossing Center Street, the train enters a tunnel to the underground station at Newark Penn Station. NJPAC/Center Street is the southernmost station on this line, which links two of Newark's three train stations. To the south of Center Street is Newark Penn Station and to the north is Broad Street Station with stops at Atlantic Street and Riverfront Stadium on game days. Riding southbound the train leaves Broad Street and stops at Washington Park, NJPAC/Center Street, and Penn Station. Service on this line opened on July 17, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. EDT.

50 Rector Park is an apartment building in Newark, New Jersey, the first market rate residential high-rise to be newly built in the city since 1962. Originally called One Riverview and later 1 Rector Street, there was a groundbreaking in 2013, but construction did not begin at the site until the spring of 2017. It was topped out in April 2018 and opened June 2019.

Park Place was a terminal of the Hudson and Manhattan Railroad (H&M) located at the intersection of Park Place and Centre Street in Newark, New Jersey, across the street from Military Park nearby Newark Public Service Terminal. The terminal opened on November 26, 1911, after the H&M extended its line westward from Grove Street in Jersey City to Summit Avenue, Manhattan Transfer, and over the Centre Street Bridge to Newark. The terminal closed on June 20, 1937, after the H&M tracks were realigned to serve the new Newark Penn Station.The H&M was taken over by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey in 1962, the system becoming the Port Authority Trans-Hudson (PATH). The New Jersey Performing Arts Center is sited on the location of the terminal adjacent to the Newark Light Rail's NJPAC/Center Street station.

One Theater Square is a mixed-use (residential and commercial) building in Newark, New Jersey. It is located across from Military Park and the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, which inspired its name. Completed in 2018, it includes the first newly-constructed high rise apartment building to be built in the city in more than fifty years. It was designed by BLT Architects.

The Robert Treat Center is an office and hotel complex in Newark, New Jersey, named for Robert Treat, who founded the city in 1666. One building originally opened as the Robert Treat Hotel in 1916. The landmark was later converted to an office building after the construction of a newer hotel next to it. The adjacent buildings are located at Military Park near the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, One Theater Square and New Jersey Historical Society.A portrait of Robert Treat was prominently placed over the fireplace mantle.In 1933, the Hotel was operated by Niagara Falls businessman Frank A. Dudley and the United Hotels Company.The building was purchased in 1987 by The Berger Organization, which has also renovated some of the city's other commercial landmarks, such as the Firemen's Insurance Company Home Office Building and Military Park Building. They sold the Griffith Building, which they had intended to renovate, in 2018.

The Home Office Building is located adjacent to Military Park at 10 Park Place in Newark, Essex County, New Jersey, United States. The building was built in 1928 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 17, 1982. The building is one of two existing structures in downtown Newark commissioned by the Firemen's Insurance Company, an insurance company founded in 1855, to house its offices. The Military Park building was designed by prominent father-and-son Newark architects John H. & Wilson C. Ely. Construction began in 1924 and the building was completed in 1928. In 1982 the building was designated a New Jersey Historic Place and a National Historic Place. The 10-story building has 16,000 square feet (1,490 m2) of space. The Berger Organization purchased the building in 1990, the same year a plaque was placed on it by the Newark Preservation and Landmarks Committee. The building underwent renovations in 2006. An inscription on a bronze plaque placed by the Newark Preservation and Landmarks Committee reads: This insurance company was founded in 1855 in Newark. These headquarters were built during the height of the company's expansion in 1924-1928. This ten story structure features Classical Revival ornamentation on facades and in major interior spaces. The architects were the prominent Newark firm John H. and Wilson C. Ely. A major restoration of the building by the Berger Organization was begun in 1989 for continued use as professional offices ...

The New Jersey Historical Society is a historical society and museum located in Newark, Essex County, New Jersey, United States. The Historical Society is housed in the former headquarters of the Essex Club. It has two floors of exhibition space, a gift shop, and a hall for lectures. The NJHS offers occasional Newark walking tours. The Society formerly published the academic journal, New Jersey History. Exhibitions can be found on the second and third floor while the library reading room is housed on the fifth floor, formerly the Essex Club squash courts The Society is open to the public. Members are free, while non-members pay an admission fee. Patrons visiting the library are encouraged to make an appointment. The current director is Steven Tettamanti.

The Symington House, also known as the Symington–Continental House, is located at 2 Park Place in Newark, Essex County, New Jersey, United States. The house, built in 1808, is the last of the great mansions that were on the north side of Military Park. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 2, 1979, for its significance in architecture. It was added as a contributing property to the Military Park Commons Historic District on June 18, 2004.

Seton Hall University School of Law is the law school of Seton Hall University, and is located in downtown Newark, New Jersey. Seton Hall Law is the only private law school in New Jersey. The school confers three law degrees: Juris Doctor, Master of Laws, and Master of General Legal Studies. Founded in 1951, it is accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA), and is also a member of the Association of American Law Schools (AALS).
