VA Medical Center station is a light rail station on the Blue Line on Fort Snelling in the Twin Cities region of Minnesota.This station is on the northwest corner of the intersection of Minnehaha Avenue with the entrance to the Minneapolis VAHCS Medical Center. A center-platform station, it entered service when the Blue Line opened on June 26, 2004. North of the station, between it and the 50th Street/Minnehaha Park Station, the Blue Line leaves Minnesota State Highway 55 and travels down the center of Minnehaha Avenue for two blocks.

Minnehaha Creek (Dakota: Mniȟáȟa Wakpádaŋ) is a 22-mile-long (35 km) tributary of the Mississippi River that flows east from Gray's Bay Dam on Lake Minnetonka through the suburban cities of Minnetonka, Hopkins, Saint Louis Park, and Edina, and the city of Minneapolis. The creek flows over Minnehaha Falls in Minnehaha Park near its mouth at the Mississippi River.

Coldwater Spring (Dakota: Mní Ówe Sní) is a spring in the Fort Snelling unorganized territory of the U.S. state of Minnesota, that is considered a sacred site by the Dakota people, and was also the site of the U.S. Army's Camp Coldwater for troops that constructed Fort Snelling. Coldwater Spring is located on the west bluffs of the Mississippi River directly south of Minnehaha Park and adjacent to Fort Snelling State Park. Waters from the naturally occurring spring flow continuously year round and remain unfrozen in winter months. The spring and surrounding area is managed as a protected historic site and natural park by the National Park Service as part of the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area.

The Minnesota Air National Guard Museum is an aviation museum located at Minneapolis–Saint Paul Joint Air Reserve Station in Fort Snelling, Minnesota. It is dedicated to the history of the Minnesota Air National Guard.

Fort Snelling station is a light rail station on the Blue Line in the Minneapolis–Saint Paul region of the U.S. state of Minnesota, named after the nearby Fort Snelling historic fort structure. This station is located on Minnehaha Avenue, adjacent to the Bishop Henry Whipple Federal Building and diagonally across from a U.S. Army Reserve campus and the main entrance to an Air National Guard station. The station's layout has a center-platform design. Service began at this station when the Blue Line opened on June 26, 2004. At that time, this was the southern terminus of the Blue Line. The remainder of the line, south of this station, opened on December 4, 2004. This station is the site of a large park and ride facility. There are two parking lots, making a total of about 975 spaces available to commuters. Just north of this station the Blue Line crosses the interchange of Minnesota State Highway 55 and Minnesota State Highway 62 on a flyover. Just south of this station, the line has a third track in the center which was used primarily for the LRVs to switch tracks when this station was the terminus of the line.

The Minnesota Soldiers' Home, later known as the Minnesota Veterans Home in Minneapolis, is an old soldiers' home near Minnehaha Falls in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

50th Street/Minnehaha Park is a light rail station on the Blue Line in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. This station is located on the southwest corner on the intersection of 50th Street with Minnesota State Highway 55 (Hiawatha Avenue), in the Minnehaha neighborhood. This is a side-platform station. Service began at this station when the Blue Line opened on June 26, 2004. Early on in the design process, there had been some consideration to use a small existing rail station on the other side of the highway for this stop. The Minnehaha Depot, also known as the "Princess Depot," had been built in 1875 and was used for a variety of purposes over the years. The Milwaukee Road used it for the majority of the time until it closed in 1963, and it was part of the Twin City Rapid Transit streetcar system for many years. Just north of this station is a short tunnel under Minnehaha Parkway.

Minnehaha Trail is a 1.5-mile (2.4 km) paved, multi-use trail in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States, that connects Minnehaha Regional Park and Fort Snelling State Park – two of the most popular recreation destinations in the Twin Cities metro area. The trail is considered a segment of a longer, loosely connected bicycle route system along the Mississippi River. Users of Minnehaha Trail traverse under a forest canopy. The trail received local recognition for its natural beauty, but it was criticized for its worn pavement and lack of signage.

Morris Park is a neighborhood in the Nokomis community in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Its boundaries are 54th Street to the north, 46th Avenue to the east, the Twin Cities Air Force Base to the south, and 34th Avenue to the west. It shares a neighborhood organization with the Keewaydin, Minnehaha, and Wenonah neighborhoods, which are collectively referred to as Nokomis East and served by the Nokomis East Neighborhood Association (NENA).

The John Harrington Stevens House was the first authorized house on the west bank of the Mississippi River in what would become Minneapolis in the U.S. state of Minnesota. It was built in 1850 at Saint Anthony Falls by John H. Stevens on the site where the Minneapolis Post Office now sits. He was granted permission to build his house on land controlled by Fort Snelling in exchange for providing ferry service across the river, accounting for the nickname "ferry farm." In the subsequent five years, the home became a hub of civic and social activity, and was dubbed the "birthplace of Minneapolis." Both Hennepin County and Minneapolis were organized in Stevens' home. He and his wife, Frances Helen, had no white neighbors, but Indians were often seen nearby. The Stevens House was moved several times, finally to Minnehaha Park in south Minneapolis in 1896. The home is part of the Minnehaha Historic District, which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1969. The house is now a museum, with tours available on summer weekends.

Minnehaha Falls Lower Glen Trail is a popular hiking route in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. The 2.1-mile (3.4 km) trail loop begins and ends at the base of the iconic Minnehaha Falls. Hikers follow natural trails and elevated boardwalks through a sedimentary rock glen carved by Minnehaha Creek to its confluence with the Mississippi River where there is a sandy beach. Portions of the trail loop are rated moderate to challenging in difficulty.

Ford Dam, officially known as Lock and Dam No. 1, is on the Upper Mississippi River and is located between Minneapolis and Saint Paul, Minnesota just north of the confluence of the Mississippi with the Minnesota River at Mississippi River mile 847.9, in Minneapolis. The powerhouse portion was previously owned by the Ford Motor Company, which operated a hydroelectric power station to feed electricity to its Twin Cities Assembly Plant on the east side of the river. It was sold to Brookfield Power Co. in April 2008. The dual-lock facility and dam was built and is operated by the St. Paul district of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Mississippi Valley Division.
