Postling village and civil parish is situated near the Roman road of Stone Street, about 17 miles (27 km) south of Canterbury, Kent, in South East England. Postlinges is the spelling used in the Domesday Book where it was part of the lands of Hugo de Montfort; Postlinge is also seen in old records. There is much archaeological evidence of continued occupation of the area. Postling Court is, in effect, the old manor-house, although is, more correctly as the name suggests, the one-time meeting place of the local court and magistrate. The population of the civil parish includes the hamlet of Newbarn. The parish church is dedicated to Saints Mary and Radegund. It is a Grade I listed building. The oldest parts are from the late 11th or 12th century.A junction south of the village is known as Postling Wents; "went" or "vent" is an older Kent word which means "ways". It was once the crossroads where the London to Folkestone road crossed the Lympne to Lyminge road, but is now a sharp bend on the A20.

Stowting is a village and civil parish in the English county of Kent. It is 6 miles (9.7 km) east of Ashford, 7 miles (11 km) north-west of Folkestone and 10 miles (16 km) south of Canterbury.

Stanford is a village and civil parish in Kent, England. It is part of the Folkestone and Hythe district. The village developed along the ancient Roman Stone Street and was divided by the construction of the M20 motorway into Stanford North and Stanford South. Stanford Windmill and parish church of All Saints are in the village. The parish includes the hamlet of Westenhanger. Folkestone Racecourse was located here; during World War II it served as the RAF Westenhanger airfield, and eventually closed for redevelopment in December 2012. Westenhanger Castle is adjacent to the racecourse. In 2023 the local authority granted planning permission for 8,500 homes at the Otterpool Park site which extends from Westenhanger station to the edges of Sellindge and Lympne.

Stanford Windmill is a Grade II* listed tower mill in Stanford, Kent, England that was built in 1857. It stands on Kennett Lane in Stanford.

Folkestone services is a motorway service station on the M20 motorway at Westenhanger, seven miles from Folkestone in Kent, England. They are the second to be built on the motorway and were opened in 2007. The services are found off Junction 11. They contain a petrol station, parking for both cars and lorries, a number of shops including W H Smith. A lorry park with 82 parking spaces and customs clearance facilities provided by Channel Ports Ltd has been operated on the site since 2011.

Westenhanger railway station is on the South Eastern Main Line in England, serving the villages of Westenhanger and Stanford, and was near the now-closed Folkestone Racecourse, in Kent. It is 64 miles 15 chains (103.3 km) down the line from London Charing Cross. The station and all trains that call are operated by Southeastern.

Newbarn is a hamlet around a crossroads northwest of Etchinghill in Kent, England. Etchinghill Golf Club is on the road between the two. Tolsford Hill BT Tower can clearly be seen on Tolsford Hill to the south. It is in the civil parish of Postling.

Monks Horton is a small civil parish in the Folkestone and Hythe district of Kent, England. It is located 3 miles (5 km) north of Hythe. Within the civil parish are the hamlets of Horton and Broad Street. The parish is governed by a parish meeting, rather than a parish council, because of its small size. The name comes from there having been a medieval priory built here. The population of the parish in 2001 was 95.

Rhodes Minnis is a village near Folkestone in Kent, England, located between Lyminge and Stelling Minnis. It is in the civil parish of Elham. It was a gathering place for some of the Swing Riots organizers from Lyminge during the 1830s.

Folkestone Racecourse was a thoroughbred horse racing venue in southeast England, until it closed in 2012. It is located in Westenhanger, by junction 11 of the M20 motorway and about 6 miles (9.7 km) west of Folkestone. The course remains closed and all running rail and steeplechase fences have been removed. In May 2016 it was revealed that the land covered by the racecourse forms part of a plan to develop and build housing. It is now unkempt and in a state of disrepair.

Gibbin's Brook is a 16.8-hectare (42-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Sellindge in Kent.This site is mainly marshy grassland, but it also has a stream, a pond and small areas of bog and dry acidic grassland. It is notable for its invertebrates, especially moths.The site is open to the public and a footpath runs through it.

Lyminge Abbey was an abbey about four miles northwest of Folkestone on the south coast of Kent. It was one of the first religious houses to be founded in England.
