The Monumento a los Niños Héroes ("Monument to the Boy Heroes"), officially Altar a la Patria ("Altar to the Homeland"), is a monument commemorating the Niños Héroes, installed in Chapultepec, Mexico City, Mexico.

The National Council to Prevent Discrimination (Spanish: Consejo Nacional para Prevenir La Discriminación; CONAPRED) is a Mexican government agency created in 2003 by Federal Law to Prevent and Eliminate Discrimination and to promote policies and measures to contribute to the cultural and social development and progress in social inclusion and guarantee the right to equality.

Museo Rufino Tamayo is a public contemporary art museum located in Mexico City's Chapultepec Park, that produces contemporary art exhibitions, using its collection of modern and contemporary art, as well as artworks from the collection of its founder, the artist Rufino Tamayo.

The Puerta de los Leones (Spanish: Lions Gateway) is the main entrance to the first section of the Chapultepec Park, in Mexico City. It is found near Paseo de la Reforma and it connects with Calzada Juventud Heroica. It was created by Antonio Muñoz García.

The Estela de Luz (Stele of Light) is a monument in Mexico City built in 2011 to commemorate the bicentenary of Mexico's independence from Spanish rule. Its design was the winning entry in an invited competition to seek the best combination of Mexico's past and future; the design uses quartz and electric lighting to achieve this effect. The Estela de Luz is mainly used for cultural events. The monument is popularly known as the Suavicrema (a brand of ice cream wafer) due to the resemblance on its shape to said wafer.

The Centre of Digital Culture (Centro de Cultura Digital, in Spanish) is a multifuncional cultural complex in Mexico City with the vocation to activities of digital art, as well as the promotion of "expressive forms in the digital world" and "his influence in the cultural and artistic life of the country". It was inaugurated on September 16, 2012. The center belongs to Secretariat of Culture.

Torre del Caballito is a skyscraper located on the Paseo de la Reforma #10 at the Cuauhtemoc delegation in Mexico City. It was designed by Grupo Posadas de Mexico. It is 135 metres (443 feet) and 35 storeys tall. 33 of the floors are used as office space which measures 60,000 square meters. It also has 15 underground parking levels. The building's total area is 131,000 square meters. The building houses the offices of MPs and senators. Torre Prisma, Edificio El Moro, the Melia Mexico Reforma Hotel, and the Fuente de la Republica are located nearby. The building is equipped with 20 high-speed elevators which move at 6.3 meters per second. In 1978 construction began with an ambitious project of a hotel which would have stood 220 metres 60 floors tall and have 700 rooms. It would be owned by the Holiday Inn chain. Due to Mexico's unstable political and economic conditions, construction was stopped several times. The works resumed in 1984 with the central concrete structure reaching 40 meters high. The metallic-structure assembly began but all works stopped again for a year. Works were delayed further when the main crane and some concrete elements were partially destroyed by the 1985 Mexico City earthquake. The damaged crane was moved away and the hotel project was cancelled altogether. In 1987, the damaged concrete and steel components were repaired and the height was shortened to 134 metres and by the end of 1988 construction was completed at last with a black mirror facade covering the structure. Due to Mexico City's high propensity to earthquakes, the tower incorporates several anti-earthquake measures such as the inclusion of 70 seismic shocks. It is anchored to the ground with 185 concrete piles which penetrate 60 meters surpassing the old swampy landfill lake below Mexico City. The tower could support other 25 floors if needed, though it is not planned to do so. The building is currently owned by Fibra Mexicana de Inmuebles (FIBRAMEX).

The Torre Mayor (literally "Major Tower") is a skyscraper in Mexico City, Mexico. With a height of 225 meters (738 feet) to the top floor and 55 stories, it is the third tallest building in Mexico. It was surpassed in height by Torre BBVA Bancomer in 2015, which in turn was surpassed by Torre Reforma. From its completion in 2003 until 2010 (when it was surpassed by the residential 236 meter (774 ft) high Ocean Two in Panama City, Panama) it was also the tallest building in Latin America. The Torre Mayor was developed by Canadian businessman Paul Reichmann, who also maintained part ownership until his death in 2013. It is also part-owned by a group of institutional investors. The building was designed by the architectural firms of Zeidler Partnership Architects and Executive Architects Adamson Associates Architects, both of Toronto. The structural engineers and designers were The Cantor Seinuk Group from New York City in association with Enrique Martínez Romero S.A. in Mexico City (Engineering News-Record, 30 June 2003). Located at Paseo de la Reforma, it was built by Canadian-owned Reichmann International on the former location of the Cine Chapultepec. Construction work began in 1999 and was finished in late 2003. Due to Mexico City's high propensity to earthquakes, the tower incorporates several anti-earthquake measures. Torre Mayor is one of the strongest buildings on Earth in terms of earthquake resistance, being designed to withstand earthquakes measuring 8.5 on the Richter Scale. The U.S. Bank Tower in earthquake prone Los Angeles, California by comparison, is designed to withstand an 8.3 intensity earthquake.

The Obelisco a los Niños Héroes is a monument installed in Chapultepec, Mexico City. The cenotaph was created in 1881 by architect Ramón Rodríguez Arangoity, one of the cadets captured in the Battle of Chapultepec. The marble cenotaph was a typical nineteenth-century monument. This one lists the names of the six cadets, the Niños Héroes, killed in the fierce fighting in the Mexican-American War as military cadets defended as well as the 40 who survived the attack. For his own political purposes, General Porfirio Díaz inaugurated the monument with a military and civilian audience of dignitaries. Subsequently, the obelisk became an annual site of remembrance for the Association of the Military College, a group of veterans who had been cadets. This modest-sized monument was superseded in 1952 by the massive Monumento a los Niños Héroes. The prisoners of the First Company were Captain Domingo Alvarado; Lieutenants José Espinosa, Agustín de la Peza; Cabo José T. de Cuellar; and Tambor Simón Álvarez; Cadets Francisco Molina, Mariano Covarrubias, Bartolomé Díaz León, Ignacio Molina, Antonio Sierra, Justino García, Lorenzo Pérez Castro, Agustín Camarena, Ignacio Ortiz, Manuel Ramírez de Arellano, Carlos Bejarano, Isidro Hernández, Esteban Zamora, Santiago Hernández, Ignacio Burgoa Lagos and Ramón Rodríguez Arangoity. Prisoners of Second Company were Lieutenant Joaquín Argaez; Sargeant Teófilo Noris; Corneta Antonio Rodríguez; Cadet alumni Joaquín Moreno, Pablo Banuet, Ignacio Valle, Francisco Leso, Antonio Sola, Sebastián Trejo, Luis Delgado, Ruperto Pérez de León, Cástulo García, Feliciano Contreras, Francisco Morelos, Miguel Miramón, Gabino Montesdedca, Luciano Becerra, Adolfo Unda, Manuel Díaz, Francisco Morel, Vicente Herrera, Onofre Capelo, Magdaleno Yta and Emilio Laurent.

The Battle of Chapultepec was a battle between American forces and Mexican forces holding the strategically located Chapultepec Castle just outside Mexico City, fought 13 September 1847 during the Mexican–American War. The building, sitting atop a 200-foot (61 m) hill, was an important position for the defense of the city. The battle was part of the campaign to take Mexico City, for which General Winfield Scott's U.S. Army totaled 7,200 men. General Antonio López de Santa Anna, known for vicious attacks against Native Mexican American tribes, had formed an army of approximately 25,000 men. Mexican forces, including military cadets of the Military Academy, defended the position at Chapultepec against 2,000 U.S. forces. The Mexicans' loss opened the way for the Americans to take the center of Mexico City. In Mexican history, the battle is cast as the story of the brave deaths of six cadets, the Niños Héroes, who leapt to their deaths rather than be taken captive, with one wrapping himself in the Mexican flag. American sources also feature many depictions of the battle from the American point of view. Although it lasted only about 60–90 minutes, the battle has great importance in the histories of both countries.

The National Museum of History (Spanish: Museo Nacional de Historia), also known as MNH, is a national museum of Mexico, located inside Chapultepec Castle in Mexico City. The Castle itself is found within the first section of the well known Chapultepec Park. The museum received 2,135,465 visitors in 2017.The museum hosts twelve showrooms that house objects from various stages in Mexican history, including the foundation of the Spanish Empire (known in Mexico as “The Conquest”), the New Spain and the Viceregal era (known in Mexico as “The Colonial epoch”), the Mexican War of Independence, the Liberal Reform, and the Revolution of 1910. On the top floor, in addition to a library, there are two sections with dioramas recreating rooms of the castle during the time when Emperor Maximilian von Hapsburg lived there with his wife Princess Carlota. The museum also hosts a garden area and an old observatory. It is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Chapultepec Castle (Spanish: Castillo de Chapultepec) is located on top of Chapultepec Hill in Mexico City's Chapultepec park. The name Chapultepec is the Nahuatl word chapoltepēc which means "on the hill of the grasshopper". The castle has such unparalleled views and terraces that explorer James F. Elton wrote they “can't be surpassed in beauty in any part of the world." It is located at the entrance to Chapultepec Park at a height of 2,325 meters above sea level. The site of the hill was a sacred place for Aztecs, and the buildings atop it have served several purposes during its history, including that of Military Academy, Imperial residence, Presidential residence, observatory, and since the 1940s, the National Museum of History. Chapultepec Castle, along with Iturbide Palace, also in Mexico City, are the only royal palaces in North America. It was built during the Viceroyalty as a summer house for the highest colonial administrator, the viceroy. It was given various uses, from the gunpowder warehouse to the military academy in 1841. It became the official residence of Emperor Maximilian I and his consort Empress Carlota during the Second Mexican Empire (1864–67). In 1882, President Manuel González declared it the official residence of the President. With few exceptions, all succeeding presidents lived there until 1939, when President Lázaro Cárdenas turned it into a museum.
