Canadian Forces Station Lac St. Denis (also CFS Lac St. Denis) is a former Canadian Forces Station that was located by Lac St. Denis, 60 miles north of Montreal in the Laurentian Mountains.

Ivry-sur-le-Lac is a village and municipality in the Laurentides region of Quebec, Canada, part of the Les Laurentides Regional County Municipality. All areas zoned for the elementary level are also zoned for the secondary level. Congregation House of Israel (French: Congrégation Maison d'Israël, Hebrew: ק״ק בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל) is an Orthodox synagogue in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Quebec, serving the Laurentian Jewish community. It was officially opened on 12 July 1953.The congregation is led by Rabbi Emanuel Carlebach, who assumed the role upon the passing of his father Rabbi Ephraim Carlebach in 1985. The House of Israel counts more than 1,500 families as members, mostly Montrealers with second homes in the Laurentians. The congregation also hosts a religious school and early learning centre.

Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts is a town in the province of Quebec, Canada, in the regional county municipality of Les Laurentides in the administrative region of Laurentides, also known as the "Laurentians" or the Laurentian Mountains (in English). Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts borders on a lake called Lac des Sables, and is located approximately 80 kilometres (50 mi) northwest of Montreal, and 130 kilometres (81 mi) northeast of Ottawa. The town has been twinned with Lagny-sur-Marne, France since 1969 and Saranac Lake, New York since 2002.

Lac-des-Seize-Îles (French pronunciation: [lak de sɛz il]; French for Sixteen Islands Lake) is a village and municipality in the Laurentides region of Quebec, Canada, part of the Les Pays-d'en-Haut Regional County Municipality. The municipality surrounds and is named after Sixteen Island Lake (Lac des Seize Îles) with the village situated at the northern end of this lake.

Le Studio (later renamed Studio Morin Heights) was a residential recording studio in the Laurentian Mountains near the town of Morin-Heights, Quebec, Canada built in 1972 by recording engineer and producer André Perry, Nick Blagona and Yaël Brandeis. The studio with a Trident console where artists recorded and stayed, was the venue for many notable Canadian and international artists, including Rush (it was nicknamed "Rush's Abbey Road"), The Police, Bee Gees, Chicago, David Bowie, April Wine and Cat Stevens and Vain. Perry described the facility as "like the United Nations. I had people from London, New York, Quebec, all over the world."Renowned for its retreat-like location as well as its state-of-the-art equipment, it was one of the earliest studios to install a Solid State Logic SL 4000 B mixing console and RADAR digital-recording equipment. Perry sold the studio in 1988. In 2008 the studio had gone out of business, and as of 2015 the property was up for sale. On 11 August 2017, the building was partially destroyed by "a suspicious" fire. The entirety of the complex was demolished in 2020. In 2020, the recording area was demolished, and in 2021, the entire property was cleared and put up for sale for $850,000.

Val-David is a village of more than 5,200 inhabitants in the Laurentian Mountains about 80 kilometres (50 mi) north of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Attracting about 100,000 tourists a year, Val-David is predominantly francophone although it has a small anglophone minority. The village is famous for its delicious and diverse food scene as well for its artistic and hippie character. Many renowned and amateur artists, writers and dancers live and have lived in Val-David, notably Québécois poet Gaston Miron, jazz bassist Charlie Biddle, and singer-songwriter Alan Gerber. Val-David is also a centre for much outdoor recreational activity as its 2,000-acre (8.1 km2) Parc Dufresne is the most popular rock-climbing destination in eastern Canada. Also, the Parc Linéaire Le P'tit Train du Nord, a 200 kilometres (120 mi) bike trail, and groomed cross-country ski and snowshoe trails in Winter, run throughout the town's splendid nature.

Camp B'nai Brith (Hebrew: מַחֲנֶה בְּנֵי בְּרִית) is a Jewish summer camp north of Montreal, in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts. Camp B'nai Brith has been recognized as a pioneer in the world of community-service camps in North America. CBB offers camping to children and senior citizens on a sliding fee scale based on the family's finances, with fundraising activities subsidizing those who cannot afford to pay.

Wentworth-Nord (French for North Wentworth) is a municipality in the Laurentides region of Quebec, Canada, part of the Les Pays-d'en-Haut Regional County Municipality. Its communities include Saint-Michel, Laurel, and Montfort. Its many lakes attract many cottage vacationers each summer.

Lake Arpin is a small lake located in the Laurentian Mountains of Quebec, Canada. This is a non populated lake. The first house to be built close to the water was in 2005. Until this house was built, the only access point was Chemin du Sentier, an almost fully grown-in dirt road. A bridge now gives access from Chemin du Lac Arpin to a small river which connects to the lake. This lake is used in the summer months by a Jewish Hasidic community located across the street, the four families who have summer houses on the lake and the families who live on connecting lakes: lac Magnan and lac Papineau. The fish population in the lake includes perch, sun fish, cat fish and muskellunge.

Camp Massad of Canada (Hebrew: מַחֲנֶה מַסָד, Maḥaneh Massad) is a Zionist Jewish summer camp in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Quebec, with headquarters in Montreal. It was founded in 1947, with the creation of Massad Alef on Lac Quenouille in the Laurentian Mountains. At its peak Massad had nearly 400 campers.Camp Massad has a long tradition of Hebrew language immersion. It is shomer Shabbat and has a kosher kitchen under the supervision of the Montreal Va'ad Ha'ir. Massad attracts campers of various Jewish backgrounds from Montreal and other parts of Canada, various cities in the United States, Israel, and many other places throughout the world. Camp Massad is a member of the Foundation for Jewish Camp and the Ontario Camps Association.
