Pripstein's Camp Mishmar (Hebrew: מַחֲנֶה מִשְׁמָר) was a private co-educational summer camp in St. Adolphe d'Howard, Quebec, which operated from 1941 to 2014. Though not strictly a Jewish summer camp, Mishmar predominantly catered to a middle- and upper-class Jewish clientele. In its seventy year history, the camp hosted a number of prominent future writers, businesspeople, and politicians.

Le Studio (later renamed Studio Morin Heights) was a residential recording studio in the Laurentian Mountains near the town of Morin-Heights, Quebec, Canada built in 1972 by recording engineer and producer André Perry, Nick Blagona and Yaël Brandeis. The studio with a Trident console where artists recorded and stayed, was the venue for many notable Canadian and international artists, including Rush (it was nicknamed "Rush's Abbey Road"), The Police, Bee Gees, Chicago, David Bowie, April Wine and Cat Stevens and Vain. Perry described the facility as "like the United Nations. I had people from London, New York, Quebec, all over the world."Renowned for its retreat-like location as well as its state-of-the-art equipment, it was one of the earliest studios to install a Solid State Logic SL 4000 B mixing console and RADAR digital-recording equipment. Perry sold the studio in 1988. In 2008 the studio had gone out of business, and as of 2015 the property was up for sale. On 11 August 2017, the building was partially destroyed by "a suspicious" fire. The entirety of the complex was demolished in 2020. In 2020, the recording area was demolished, and in 2021, the entire property was cleared and put up for sale for $850,000.

Congregation House of Israel (French: Congrégation Maison d'Israël, Hebrew: ק״ק בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל) is an Orthodox synagogue in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Quebec, serving the Laurentian Jewish community. It was officially opened on 12 July 1953.The congregation is led by Rabbi Emanuel Carlebach, who assumed the role upon the passing of his father Rabbi Ephraim Carlebach in 1985. The House of Israel counts more than 1,500 families as members, mostly Montrealers with second homes in the Laurentians. The congregation also hosts a religious school and early learning centre.

Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts is a town in the province of Quebec, Canada, in the regional county municipality of Les Laurentides in the administrative region of Laurentides, also known as the "Laurentians" or the Laurentian Mountains (in English). It is operated by the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board. Persons from the following communities are zoned to this school for the elementary level: Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Doncaster, Ivry-sur-le-Lac, L'Ascension, La Conception, La Macaza, La Minerve, Labelle, Lac-Supérieur, Lantier, Mont-Blanc, Mont-Tremblant, Rivière-Rouge, Saint-Donat, Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Sainte-Lucie-des-Laurentides, Val-David, Val-des-Lacs, and Val-Morin, as well as the northern half of Saint-Adolphe-d'Howard. All areas zoned for the elementary level are also zoned for the secondary level. Val-David is a village of more than 5,200 inhabitants in the Laurentian Mountains about 80 kilometres (50 mi) north of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Attracting about 100,000 tourists a year, Val-David is predominantly francophone although it has a small anglophone minority. The village is famous for its delicious and diverse food scene as well for its artistic and hippie character. Many renowned and amateur artists, writers and dancers live and have lived in Val-David, notably Québécois poet Gaston Miron, jazz bassist Charlie Biddle, and singer-songwriter Alan Gerber. Ski Chantecler is a ski resort in the Laurentides region of the Canadian province of Quebec, Canada. It is a few minutes away from the town of Sainte-Adèle and one hour north from Montreal. 8 of the 22 trails are lit for night skiing. (No more night skiing as of the 2023-2024 season) The average annual snowfall is 381 cm and snowmaking is 85% over the entire skiable area. Ivry-sur-le-Lac is a village and municipality in the Laurentides region of Quebec, Canada, part of the Les Laurentides Regional County Municipality. The municipality completely encompasses Lake Manitou which is a popular cottage vacation location. Saint-Sauveur (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ sovœʁ]) is a town and municipality within the Les Pays-d'en-Haut Regional County Municipality, Quebec, Canada. It is in the administrative region of Laurentides in the Laurentian mountains, located about 60 kilometres north of Montreal. St-Sauveur is well known for its local ski areas, the biggest of which is Mont Saint-Sauveur. The ski areas market themselves jointly under the name of "Valley of Saint-Sauveur". Its proximity to Montreal, as well as its snow-making capability, night-time skiing, and après-ski establishments make St-Sauveur a popular destination for skiers. The town was the childhood home—from about 1946 to 1960—of Canadian musicians Kate and Anna McGarrigle. On September 11, 2002 the city was created from the merger of the village of Saint-Sauveur-des-Monts and the parish municipality of Saint-Sauveur. The current director general is Jean Beaulieu. The St. John's Shrewsbury Anglican Church is a former Anglican church located in the former township of Shrewsbury, part of present-day Gore, Quebec, Canada. It has become known informally as the "Shrewsbury ghost church".
