Newspaper Row in San Francisco referred to the five-point intersection of Market Street, Kearny Street, Third Street and Geary Street, where three of San Francisco's largest daily newspapers were headquartered, across the street from each other. By 1902, The San Francisco Call, The San Francisco Examiner and the San Francisco Chronicle were in buildings on corners, with the Chronicle in the Chronicle Building, the Call in the Spreckels Building and the Examiner in the Examiner building. The intersection became known as the "Times Square of the West".

Market and 3rd Street (eastbound) and Market and Kearny (westbound) are a pair of one-way light rail stations in San Francisco, California, United States, serving the San Francisco Municipal Railway F Market & Wharves heritage railway line. They are located on Market Street at the intersections of 3rd Street and Kearny Street. The low-level platforms are also utilized by several bus and trolleybus routes. Under the planned Better Market Street project, the outbound F stop would be discontinued to reduce travel times.

One Post Street is a 38-story, 529 ft (161 m) office skyscraper located at 1 Post Street and Market Street in the Financial District of San Francisco, California, United States. The building is owned by Brookfield Properties. It served as headquarters for the McKesson Corporation until April 2019.Designed by architect Welton Becket, the building exemplified his penchant for repetitive geometric patterns and walls clad in natural stone. Landscape architect SWA Group's design for the busy triangular/flatiron site created an octagonal, two-tiered opening leading to a Bay Area Rapid Transit station, and flanked by trees, shops and a series of granite steps used for seating.In the soap opera The Young and the Restless, the building is featured as "Lakeview Towers", where numerous characters — beginning in 2012 with Victor Newman — have lived in either of two adjoining penthouse apartments. Its exterior can be seen (with identifying signage blurred out) in establishing shots for scenes set there, with One Montgomery Tower visible in the background. Since 2016, Devon Hamilton has lived in Penthouse 2. Neil Winters bought Penthouse 1 (then named "Penthouse A") in 2018 from the estate of Victor's son Adam Newman, who was incorrectly presumed dead. The Palace Hotel is a landmark historic hotel in San Francisco, California, located at the southwest corner of Market and New Montgomery streets. The hotel is also referred to as the "new" Palace Hotel to distinguish it from the original 1875 Palace Hotel, which had been demolished after being gutted by the fire caused by the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. The present structure opened on December 19, 1909, on the same site as its predecessor. The hotel was closed from January 1989 to April 1991 to undergo a two-year renovation and seismic retrofit. Occupying most of a city block, the hotel's now more than century-old nine-story main building stands immediately adjacent to both the BART Montgomery Street Station and the Monadnock Building, and across Market Street from Lotta's Fountain.The Palace Hotel is a member of Historic Hotels of America, the official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Central Tower is a 91 m (299 ft) 21-story office building at Market and Third Streets in San Francisco, California. The building has undergone numerous renovations since its completion in 1898 as the Call Building. It was later known as the Spreckels Building.

The Palace Hotel Residential Tower was a residential skyscraper proposed in 2006, which was to have been built at the corner of Jessie & Annie Streets in the South of Market district of San Francisco, California. At 204 m (669 ft) and 60 stories, it would have been the tallest residential building in the city, and the tallest South of Market. Had it been constructed, prior to the Financial crisis of 2007–2008, the tower would have replaced an annex of the Palace Hotel. The project would have been limited by zoning laws released by the San Francisco Planning Department on May 1, 2008, permitting a maximum height of 400 ft (120 m). However, in 2012, the height limit was raised to 600 feet (180 m) as part of the broader Transit Center District Plan that raised building heights in the area.
