One Post Street is a 38-story, 529 ft (161 m) office skyscraper located at 1 Post Street and Market Street in the Financial District of San Francisco, California, United States. The building is owned by Brookfield Properties. It served as headquarters for the McKesson Corporation until April 2019.Designed by architect Welton Becket, the building exemplified his penchant for repetitive geometric patterns and walls clad in natural stone. Landscape architect SWA Group's design for the busy triangular/flatiron site created an octagonal, two-tiered opening leading to a Bay Area Rapid Transit station, and flanked by trees, shops and a series of granite steps used for seating.In the soap opera The Young and the Restless, the building is featured as "Lakeview Towers", where numerous characters — beginning in 2012 with Victor Newman — have lived in either of two adjoining penthouse apartments. Its exterior can be seen (with identifying signage blurred out) in establishing shots for scenes set there, with One Montgomery Tower visible in the background. Since 2016, Devon Hamilton has lived in Penthouse 2. Neil Winters bought Penthouse 1 (then named "Penthouse A") in 2018 from the estate of Victor's son Adam Newman, who was incorrectly presumed dead. One Montgomery Tower (also known as Montgomery Tower and formerly Pacific Telesis Tower), part of the Post Montgomery Center complex, is an office skyscraper located at the northeast corner of Post and Kearny Streets in the financial district of San Francisco, California. The 500-foot (150-meter), 38-story tower was completed in 1982, and is connected to the Crocker Galleria mall. It houses around 2,500 office workers (as of 2019).Despite the "One Montgomery" branding, the building's main entrance is on 120 Kearny Street, rather than on Montgomery Street. The building's structural steel columns are covered by a facade consisting of red granite and square tempered glass windows with aluminum frames, with small squares marking the intersections of each block of four windows (except for the first two floors, which use black granite and steel) . The construction of the tower and Crocker Galleria in 1982 also involved the tearing down of the top ten floors of the adjacent Crocker Bank building on 1 Montgomery Street, with its new roof being converted into a privately-owned public open space (POPOS).

The Palace Hotel is a landmark historic hotel in San Francisco, California, located at the southwest corner of Market and New Montgomery streets. The hotel is also referred to as the "new" Palace Hotel to distinguish it from the original 1875 Palace Hotel, which had been demolished after being gutted by the fire caused by the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. The present structure opened on December 19, 1909, on the same site as its predecessor. The hotel was closed from January 1989 to April 1991 to undergo a two-year renovation and seismic retrofit. The Monadnock Building (San Francisco) is an historic 10-story, 204,625 square foot office building in downtown San Francisco, California located at 685 Market St. The building was designed by the firm of Frederick H. Meyer and Smith, and completed in 1907, immediately following the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. The building stands immediately adjacent to both the BART Montgomery Street Station and the Palace Hotel, and across Market Street from Lotta's Fountain. The Monadnock Building is an example of the turn-of-the-century “Beaux Arts” style. The building was extensively renovated in 1986 and again in 2016. Macys.com is a major tenant and UBER became a major tenant in 2014.

Lotta's fountain is a fountain at the intersection of Market Street, where Geary and Kearny Streets connect in downtown San Francisco, California. It was commissioned by actress Lotta Crabtree in 1875 as a gift to the city of San Francisco, and would serve as a significant meeting point in the aftermath of the 1906 San Francisco earthquake and fire.
