Ken Stimpson Community School is a co-educational secondary school and sixth form located in Peterborough in the English county of Cambridgeshire. The school is a Business & Enterprise specialist school.

Werrington is a residential area of the city of Peterborough, in the ceremonial county of Cambridgeshire, England. For electoral purposes it comprises North Werrington and South Werrington wards. Werrington spans an area of two and a half square miles (6 km²) and has a population of 14,800. Originally a village, Werrington was engulfed by Peterborough in the mid 20th century, as the city expanded. The area is on the northern edge of the conurbation, approximately four miles (6.4 km) from the city centre. There are two distinct areas of Werrington, the village and new Werrington. The village dates from older periods and focuses on the village green. The new Werrington area focuses on the Werrington Centre, a small shopping complex featuring stores for basic needs.

Bretton is a settlement and civil parish on the north western edge of Peterborough, in the Peterborough district, in the ceremonial county of Cambridgeshire, England. Bretton has been designed as a green environment; the major roads (Bretton Gate and Way) are tree-lined and there are several large parks and playing fields. It consists of two main areas; North Bretton and South Bretton, these are divided by Bretton Centre. North Bretton has the larger population and is home to the industrial estates and most leisure facilities as well as the Crematorium. The main entrance to Milton Hall is from Bretton Way in South Bretton and Nene Park is accessed via an under pass beneath the A47. Bretton Centre's main building is The Cresset multi-purpose venue, holding a large stage and seating, shops, a church, children's entertainment and places to eat. Walton railway station was a station in Walton, Cambridgeshire. It was on the Midland Railway's Syston and Peterborough Railway line between Peterborough and Stamford. It was closed in 1953. The Great Northern Railway main line runs adjacent to the Midland Railway at this point, but the Great Northern never had a station in Walton. This was due to an agreement whereby the Midland carried materials to the site during construction of the Great Northern, and in return the Great Northern offered no competition for services on this section

Marholm is a village and civil parish in the Peterborough district, in the ceremonial county of Cambridgeshire, England. West of Peterborough and 1 mile from the seat of the Fitzwilliam family at Milton Hall. The parish covers some 1,400 acres, with the village positioned roughly in the centre. For electoral purposes it forms part of Northborough ward in North West Cambridgeshire constituency. According to the 2011 census there were 76 males and 75 females living in the parish.Peterborough Crematorium, a holder of the prestigious Green Flag Award, is located in approximately 26 acres (10.52 ha) of land in the parish, much of it left as original ancient woodland. Located just north is Woodcroft Castle.

Grimeshaw Wood is a 16.8-hectare (42-acre) Local Nature Reserve on the western outskirts of Peterborough in Cambridgeshire. It is owned by Peterborough City Council, and managed by the council together with the Peterborough Environment City Trust.This site is ancient woodland in three adjacent areas. Flora include nettle-leaved bellflowers, and there are resident pipistrelle bats.There is access from Bretton Way, which bisects the site. An environmental bio-study is currently underway to and record the true diversity of flora and fauna in this ancient woodland. On 8 January 2022 a pair of tawny owls were noted. Other bird species noted include buzzard, red kite, wood pigeon, stock dove, great tit, coal tit, robin, blue tit, lesser spotted woodpecker, green woodpecker, blackbird, brambling, pheasant, collared dove, tree creeper.

The Iqra Academy is a girls-only independent school opened in 2009 in Peterborough, England. It is based around Islamic principles, however accepts both Muslim and non-Muslim students.

The Queen Katharine Academy (formerly The Voyager Academy and The Voyager School) is a secondary school with academy status in Peterborough in the United Kingdom. The school was formed in 2007 by the amalgamation of Walton Community School and Bretton Woods Community School.

Ravensthorpe is a residential area and electoral ward of the city of Peterborough, in the unparished area of Peterborough, in the Peterborough district, in the ceremonial county of Cambridgeshire, England. Ravensthorpe County Primary School is located in the area with secondary pupils usually attending nearby Jack Hunt School in Netherton. Ravensthorpe was mainly built as a part of north-west Bretton in the 1960s. It was built primarily as council housing and cheap family residencies during Peterborough's extensive growth during the 1970s and 1980s.

Walton is a residential area and electoral ward of the city of Peterborough, in the unparished area of Peterborough, in the Peterborough district, in the ceremonial county of Cambridgeshire, England. Manufacturers of industrial machinery, Peter Brotherhood, relocated here from London in 1906.Walton County Infant and Junior schools were amalgamated in September 2007 to form a single Primary School; following the closure of Walton Comprehensive School in July 2007, secondary pupils attend Queen Katharine Academy which opened in September 2007 as The Voyager School but later changed.Walton is home to a semimajor retail hub which boasts a large Morrison's supermarket, two drive-thru restaurants and 5 large retailers in the main Brotherhoods retail park. Past this is a mediocre industrial estate with dealerships, gyms, logistic centres, supermarkets and a post-office.

The Edith Cavell Hospital was an acute hospital serving the city of Peterborough and north Cambridgeshire, east Northamptonshire and Rutland in the United Kingdom. Situated on a greenfield site at Westwood, Peterborough, it was decommissioned in late 2010 and demolished in early 2011.
