Grimeshaw Wood is a 16.8-hectare (42-acre) Local Nature Reserve on the western outskirts of Peterborough in Cambridgeshire. It is owned by Peterborough City Council, and managed by the council together with the Peterborough Environment City Trust.This site is ancient woodland in three adjacent areas. Flora include nettle-leaved bellflowers, and there are resident pipistrelle bats.There is access from Bretton Way, which bisects the site. An environmental bio-study is currently underway to and record the true diversity of flora and fauna in this ancient woodland. On 8 January 2022 a pair of tawny owls were noted. Other bird species noted include buzzard, red kite, wood pigeon, stock dove, great tit, coal tit, robin, blue tit, lesser spotted woodpecker, green woodpecker, blackbird, brambling, pheasant, collared dove, tree creeper.

Werrington Dive Under (also known as the Werrington Grade Separation) is a replacement dual track grade separated railway junction at Werrington Junction, 3 miles (5 km) north of Peterborough railway station in Cambridgeshire, England. The junction leads to the Great Northern/Great Eastern Joint line (GN/GE) which goes through Spalding to Lincoln and beyond. Completed and opened in December 2021, the dive under allows trains on the west side of the East Coast Main Line (ECML) to access the GN/GE line without conflicting with the faster passenger services on the ECML. The dive under was constructed by a 'jacked deck' on slide paths installed in access tunnels. The curved 'jack deck', pushed into place beneath the main running lines, will be the first use of such a structure in the United Kingdom. The installation uses a patented method of construction.

Bretton is a settlement and civil parish on the north western edge of Peterborough, in the Peterborough district, in the ceremonial county of Cambridgeshire, England. Bretton has been designed as a green environment; the major roads (Bretton Gate and Way) are tree-lined and there are several large parks and playing fields. It consists of two main areas; North Bretton and South Bretton, these are divided by Bretton Centre. North Bretton has the larger population and is home to the industrial estates and most leisure facilities as well as the Crematorium. The main entrance to Milton Hall is from Bretton Way in South Bretton and Nene Park is accessed via an under pass beneath the A47. Bretton Centre's main building is The Cresset multi-purpose venue, holding a large stage and seating, shops, a church, children's entertainment and places to eat. Milton Hall near Peterborough, is the largest private house in Cambridgeshire, England. As part of the Soke of Peterborough, it was formerly part of Northamptonshire. It dates from 1594, being the historical home of the Fitzwilliam family, and is situated in an extensive park in which some original oak trees from an earlier Tudor deer park survive. The house is a Grade I listed building; the garden is Grade II*.

Royal Air Force Peterborough or more simply RAF Peterborough is a former Royal Air Force installation in Cambridgeshire located 2 miles (3.2 km) northwest of Peterborough city centre and 9.4 miles (15.1 km) southeast of Stamford, Lincolnshire, England.

The Edith Cavell Hospital was an acute hospital serving the city of Peterborough and north Cambridgeshire, east Northamptonshire and Rutland in the United Kingdom. Situated on a greenfield site at Westwood, Peterborough, it was decommissioned in late 2010 and demolished in early 2011.

Walton railway station was a station in Walton, Cambridgeshire. It was on the Midland Railway's Syston and Peterborough Railway line between Peterborough and Stamford. It was closed in 1953. The Great Northern Railway main line runs adjacent to the Midland Railway at this point, but the Great Northern never had a station in Walton. This was due to an agreement whereby the Midland carried materials to the site during construction of the Great Northern, and in return the Great Northern offered no competition for services on this section

The Edith Cavell Campus is a National Health Service healthcare campus in the city of Peterborough in the United Kingdom. The campus, situated on the site of the former Edith Cavell Hospital, was opened in 2010 and comprises the following healthcare facilities: Peterborough City Hospital: This is a 623-bed acute general district hospital, managed by North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. The Cavell Centre: this is a purpose-built unit, which provides secure in-patient and day services for adults with mental health problems and people with learning disabilities. It is managed by Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust, a member of Cambridge University Health Partners.

Ravensthorpe is a residential area and electoral ward of the city of Peterborough, in the unparished area of Peterborough, in the Peterborough district, in the ceremonial county of Cambridgeshire, England. Ravensthorpe County Primary School is located in the area with secondary pupils usually attending nearby Jack Hunt School in Netherton. Ravensthorpe was mainly built as a part of north-west Bretton in the 1960s. It was built primarily as council housing and cheap family residencies during Peterborough's extensive growth during the 1970s and 1980s.

Peterborough Town Cricket Club is part of City of Peterborough Sports Club based at Dalrod Sports Ground, Bretton, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, England.
