Werrington is a residential area of the city of Peterborough, in the ceremonial county of Cambridgeshire, England. For electoral purposes it comprises North Werrington and South Werrington wards. Werrington spans an area of two and a half square miles (6 km²) and has a population of 14,800. Originally a village, Werrington was engulfed by Peterborough in the mid 20th century, as the city expanded. The area is on the northern edge of the conurbation, approximately four miles (6.4 km) from the city centre. There are two distinct areas of Werrington, the village and new Werrington. The village dates from older periods and focuses on the village green. The new Werrington area focuses on the Werrington Centre, a small shopping complex featuring stores for basic needs.

Werrington Dive Under (also known as the Werrington Grade Separation) is a replacement dual track grade separated railway junction at Werrington Junction, 3 miles (5 km) north of Peterborough railway station in Cambridgeshire, England. The junction leads to the Great Northern/Great Eastern Joint line (GN/GE) which goes through Spalding to Lincoln and beyond. Completed and opened in December 2021, the dive under allows trains on the west side of the East Coast Main Line (ECML) to access the GN/GE line without conflicting with the faster passenger services on the ECML. The dive under was constructed by a 'jacked deck' on slide paths installed in access tunnels. The curved 'jack deck', pushed into place beneath the main running lines, will be the first use of such a structure in the United Kingdom. The installation uses a patented method of construction.

The Queen Katharine Academy (formerly The Voyager Academy and The Voyager School) is a secondary school with academy status in Peterborough in the United Kingdom. The school was formed in 2007 by the amalgamation of Walton Community School and Bretton Woods Community School.

Walton railway station was a station in Walton, Cambridgeshire. It was on the Midland Railway's Syston and Peterborough Railway line between Peterborough and Stamford. It was closed in 1953. The Great Northern Railway main line runs adjacent to the Midland Railway at this point, but the Great Northern never had a station in Walton. This was due to an agreement whereby the Midland carried materials to the site during construction of the Great Northern, and in return the Great Northern offered no competition for services on this section

Peakirk is a village and civil parish in the Peterborough district, in the ceremonial county of Cambridgeshire, England. For local government purposes it forms part of Glinton and Castor ward; for parliamentary purposes it falls within Peterborough constituency. In 2001, the parish had a population of 321 persons and 139 households.Pega (died c. 719), the sister of St Guthlac of Crowland, had her cell sited here. The privately owned, Grade-II-listed St Pega's Hermitage is possibly on the site. The parish church is uniquely dedicated to St Pega and the name of the village is derived from "Pega's church". The church is a Grade I listed building and has a fine series of wall paintings. It is said that Pega's heart was kept as a relic in the church, contained in a heart stone, the broken remains of which, smashed by Cromwell's troops, can be seen in the south aisle window.The Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust, founded by Sir Peter Scott in 1946 to preserve and maintain Britain's many species of waterfowl, had a reserve here until 2001.Peakirk-cum-Glinton Church of England (Voluntary Aided) Primary School is situated in neighbouring Glinton; most secondary pupils attend Arthur Mellows Village College, also in Glinton. Peakirk's war memorial is a roll of honour. An oak-panelled frame with 48 photographs and details of the service of all who served from the village during the First World War, not just those who died.Peakirk Parish Council declared a climate emergency in 2019. As a result, the Peakirk Climate Emergency Group was set up in 2020.

The Iqra Academy is a girls-only independent school opened in 2009 in Peterborough, England. It is based around Islamic principles, however accepts both Muslim and non-Muslim students.

Walton is a residential area and electoral ward of the city of Peterborough, in the unparished area of Peterborough, in the Peterborough district, in the ceremonial county of Cambridgeshire, England. Manufacturers of industrial machinery, Peter Brotherhood, relocated here from London in 1906.Walton County Infant and Junior schools were amalgamated in September 2007 to form a single Primary School; following the closure of Walton Comprehensive School in July 2007, secondary pupils attend Queen Katharine Academy which opened in September 2007 as The Voyager School but later changed.Walton is home to a semimajor retail hub which boasts a large Morrison's supermarket, two drive-thru restaurants and 5 large retailers in the main Brotherhoods retail park. Past this is a mediocre industrial estate with dealerships, gyms, logistic centres, supermarkets and a post-office.

Bretton is a settlement and civil parish on the north western edge of Peterborough, in the Peterborough district, in the ceremonial county of Cambridgeshire, England. Bretton has been designed as a green environment; the major roads (Bretton Gate and Way) are tree-lined and there are several large parks and playing fields. It consists of two main areas; North Bretton and South Bretton, these are divided by Bretton Centre. North Bretton has the larger population and is home to the industrial estates and most leisure facilities as well as the Crematorium. The main entrance to Milton Hall is from Bretton Way in South Bretton and Nene Park is accessed via an under pass beneath the A47. Bretton Centre's main building is The Cresset multi-purpose venue, holding a large stage and seating, shops, a church, children's entertainment and places to eat. Peakirk railway station served the parish of Peakirk in Cambridgeshire. The station building was converted into a private residence in the early 1990s. It is notable for having few external alterations, excluding a recent extension. Many of the original features are intact, though the platform and good yards have been removed and been replaced with housing.

Gunthorpe is a residential area of the city of Peterborough, in the unparished area of Peterborough, in the Peterborough district, in the ceremonial county of Cambridgeshire, England. Since 2015 Gunthorpe has its own ward within Peterborough City Council that also encompasses parts of South Werrington.Development in Gunthorpe has been ongoing since the 1950s. The new Roman Fields development is in progress across the A15 and will include parks and a new academy. Development at the Roman Fields has been concurrent since 2006.There has also been activity in the north of Paston which is now Gunthorpe Ridings- a large development dating back to 1982 to 1988 by Wilcon Homes. Previously Wilcon Homes's area office was located on Meal's Gate.On the primary road going straight through Gunthorpe, there is two shop units, a pub and school. The school being opened as a primary school in 1975 and the 2 shop units and pub all opening with the Wilcon Homes development although the shop units have switched firms multiple times.

Ravensthorpe is a residential area and electoral ward of the city of Peterborough, in the unparished area of Peterborough, in the Peterborough district, in the ceremonial county of Cambridgeshire, England. Ravensthorpe County Primary School is located in the area with secondary pupils usually attending nearby Jack Hunt School in Netherton. Ravensthorpe was mainly built as a part of north-west Bretton in the 1960s. It was built primarily as council housing and cheap family residencies during Peterborough's extensive growth during the 1970s and 1980s.

Glinton is a village in the north of the City of Peterborough unitary authority area in Cambridgeshire, England. Historically in Northamptonshire, it has a population of 3,130 (2001 Census) and consists of about 1,200 dwellings. It is separated from the urban sprawl of Peterborough and the new township of Werrington by the A15, the Peterborough bypass.
