Zagreb Hippodrome

Kockica (a diminutive form of "kocka", Croatian for "Dice" or "Little Cube") is a 10-story mixed-use building located at Prisavlje 14 in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. It was originally built to house the Central Committee of the League of Communists of Croatia, and currently serves as the headquarters of Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure and Ministry of Tourism of Croatia. Croatian architect Ivan Vitić planned the building, the construction of which began in 1963. However, the construction was delayed because of the 1964 Zagreb flood, and the building was finished in 1968.

The Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Croatia (Croatian: Ministarstvo turizma i sporta) is the ministry in the Government of Croatia which is in charge of the development of tourism.

The University Computing Centre in Zagreb (Croatian: Sveučilišni računski centar, abbreviated SRCE, which also means "heart") has a long tradition in the area of information and communication technologies. It was founded in 1971 within the University of Zagreb, the only Croatian university at the time, with the purpose to enhance the implementation of information technologies in the academic community as well as in Croatia in general. Today, SRCE is the main computing centre and the architect of the e-infrastructure, covering both the University of Zagreb and the whole research and high education system. Furthermore, SRCE is the competence center for information and communication technologies as well as the center for education and support in the area of ICT application.

Zagreb Fair (Croatian: Zagrebački velesajam) is a complex of exhibition pavilions in Zagreb, Croatia. The company which operates the venue carries the same name. The Zagreb Fair is the main venue in Zagreb for trade shows and fairs. Every year more than 25 specialised events are held at the venue, attended by more than 6,000 participants from 50 countries. Apart from trade fairs it is also used as a convention center.

Dubrovnik Avenue (Croatian: Avenija Dubrovnik) is an avenue located in the Novi Zagreb part of Zagreb, Croatia. It is mostly six or eight lanes wide. Built in the mid 1950s, it runs for 4 kilometers between the roundabout beneath the southward extension of the Youth Bridge (Most mladosti) in the east and the Remetinec Roundabout in the west of Novi Zagreb. Its most important intersections are those with Većeslav Holjevac and Germany Avenues. Being the main east–west thoroughfare of Novi Zagreb, more than 40,000 commuters travel on it daily.

Hrvatska radiotelevizija (abbr. HRT), or Croatian Radiotelevision, is Croatia's public broadcasting company. It operates several radio and television channels, over a domestic transmitter network as well as satellite. HRT is divided into three joint companies – Croatian Radio (Hrvatski radio), Croatian Television (Hrvatska televizija) and Music Production (Glazbena proizvodnja), which includes three orchestras (Symphony, Jazz and Tamburitza) and a choir. The founder of HRT is the Republic of Croatia which exercises its founder's rights through the Croatian Government. Croatian Radio (then Radio Zagreb) was founded on 15 May 1926. This date is considered the date on which HRT was founded. Television Zagreb (today Croatian Television) began broadcasting on 7 September 1956. By the law enacted by the Croatian Parliament on 29 June 1990, Radio Television Zagreb was renamed to Croatian Radiotelevision. HRT operates as a provider of public broadcasting services, and Croatia provides independent funding in accordance with the Croatian Broadcasting Company Law and the State Aid Rules for Public Broadcasting Services. In carrying out its activities, HRT is independent of any political influence and commercial interest. On 25 May 2012, HRT's archive of the television and radio program and its collection of musical production were given the status of Croatian cultural heritage.

The Fourth Grammar School (Croatian: IV. gimnazija, Četvrta gimnazija) is a public high school in Zagreb, Croatia specialising in languages. It opened its doors on 8 November 1934. Today it has about 555 students in 21 classes. It is situated at the Žarko Dolinar Street 9. Together with the regular school curriculum, the school also offers bilingual programs in English, German and French. IV Grammar School is among the 10 best grammar schools in the country according to the results of the Croatian national exam. The principal is Sonja Kamčev-Bačani. Getting into the school needs 76 points out of 80. The points are calculated from primary school grades, as well as competitions and extra criteria.

Kajzerica is a neighborhood located in the Novi Zagreb – zapad city district of Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. It is located west of Bundek Lake (Jezero Bundek) and east of the Western Rotary and Adriatic Bridge. It has a population of 4,387 (2011).Zagreb Fair and Zagreb Hippodrome are located in Kajzerica. Kajzerica houses the south end of the old pedestrian-only Sava Bridge. Roads provide access to the Dubrovnik Avenue and the Adriatic Bridge and the neighborhood is served by Zagrebački električni tramvaj tram lines 7 and 14 that travel through Novi Zagreb.

Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences or the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb (Croatian: Filozofski fakultet Sveučilišta u Zagrebu) is one of the faculties of the University of Zagreb.

The Museum of Contemporary Art (Croatian: Muzej suvremene umjetnosti, often abbreviated to MSU) is a contemporary art museum located on Dubrovnik Avenue in Zagreb, Croatia. It is the biggest and most modern museum in the country.

Trnje (Croatian pronunciation: [tr̩̂ːɲe]) is a district in the City of Zagreb, Croatia. According to the 2011 census, the district had 42,282 residents. It is located in the central part of the city, south of Donji grad across the railway (Zagreb Main Station), east of Trešnjevka (Savska road), west of Peščenica (Vjekoslav Heinzel Avenue and Marin Držić Avenue), and north of the river Sava. The Slavonska Avenue intersects Trnje. Trnje was amalgamated into the city in 1927 by Mayor Vjekoslav Heinzel, along with several other new districts, mainly for the purpose of housing people needed for Zagreb's industrial sector expansion.As a district, Trnje has an elected council.

Vrbik is a neighbourhood in the southwest of Zagreb, Croatia, within the Trnje district. The area is administered by the local city councils of Vrbik, with a population of 3,075, and Cvjetnica, with a population of 1,933 (census 2021). The Vrbik and Cvjetnica councils in the west and the Miramare council in the east form a single large block between major city roads, but the former two are largely residential, while the latter has a large concentration of public institutions instead. The intermediate area of the so-called university alley (Croatian: sveučilišna aleja) is generally perceived as part of Vrbik, while the less developed residential areas of Miramare are distinct and have a much lower population density. The southernmost part of the block maintains an old street grid, but in Vrbik it's overbuilt, while in Miramare it's underbuilt. The population of Miramare was 1,175 in 2021.
