Dunlap Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics

The School of Cities is a research centre dedicated to urban study and education at the University of Toronto. The centre is an extra-departmental unit (EDU) composed of faculty from the university's three campuses and visiting professors from other institutions, with the goal of consolidating urban-focused academics from various divisions, such as Engineering, Architecture, and Public Health. The centre is directed by Karen Chapple, a professor of urban planning in the Department of Geography and Planning who also holds the Carmel P. Friesen Chair in Urban Studies at the University of California, Berkeley. It is based in the Myhal Centre for Engineering Innovation and Entrepreneurship on the St. George campus in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

The Bahen Centre for Information Technology is a building at the St. George campus of the University of Toronto. It is primarily used by the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering, the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Mathematics. The large 8-floor building contains 50 laboratories (including the Dynamic Graphics Project), 10 lecture theatres (including the large Adel Sedra Auditorium), 13 tutorial, 9 seminar rooms, and about 300 offices. It is home to the Emerging Communications Technology Institute (formerly the Nortel Institute), the Bell University Laboratories and an Advanced Surface Coatings Laboratory.

Knox College is a postgraduate theological college of the University of Toronto in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It was founded in 1844 as part of a schism movement in the Church of Scotland following the Disruption of 1843. Knox is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church in Canada and confers doctoral degrees as a member school of the Toronto School of Theology.

The School of Graduate Studies (SGS) is the graduate school of the University of Toronto in Ontario, Canada. It is the largest graduate school in Canada with more than 20,000 full-time students, and offers master's and doctoral programs through most of the university's divisions and academic departments on all three campuses: St. George, Mississauga, and Scarborough. SGS is affiliated with Massey College, an incorporated college that serves as a residence and community space for graduate students located at the St. George campus in downtown Toronto.

The Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics (CITA) is a national research institute funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council, located at the University of Toronto in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. CITA's mission is "to foster interaction within the Canadian theoretical Astrophysics community and to serve as an international center of excellence for theoretical studies in astrophysics." CITA was incorporated in 1984.CITA has close administrative and academic relations with the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR); several CITA faculty also serve as members of CIFAR.

The Koffler Student Centre is the main student centre at the University of Toronto, located at 214 College Street. The centre houses a number of different student services, including the main campus bookstore, career centre, and health clinic. The ornate building is located at the northwest corner of St. George and College Street streets in a building that was formerly the home of the Toronto Reference Library.

The Fields Institute for Research in Mathematical Sciences, commonly known simply as Fields Institute, is an international centre for scientific research in mathematical sciences at the University of Toronto, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The institute is named for University of Toronto mathematician John Charles Fields, after whom the Fields Medal is also named. It was established in 1992, and was briefly based at the University of Waterloo before relocating to Toronto in 1995. As a centre for mathematical activity, the institute brings together mathematicians from Canada and abroad. It also supports the collaboration between professional mathematicians and researchers in other domains, such as statistics, computer science, engineering, physical and biological sciences, medicine, economics and finance, telecommunications and information systems. It also holds monthly meetings on mathematics education, attended by participants from secondary school boards, university mathematics departments and the private sector.

Convocation Hall is a domed rotunda on the grounds of the University of Toronto in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Designed by Darling and Pearson and completed in 1907, its radially planned interior has been compared to the grand amphitheatre of the Sorbonne and the Sheldonian Theatre at Oxford, although no specific precedent is truly known. While the building's namesake purpose is to host the annual convocation ceremonies, it also serves as the venue for academic and social functions that involve large audiences throughout the year.

St. Patrick was a provincial electoral district in Ontario, Canada, that was established in 1926 out of the district of Toronto Northeast. It lasted until 1967 when it was merged with St. Andrew to form St. Andrew—St. Patrick. St. Patrick riding took its name from the former "St. Patrick's ward" of the City of Toronto.

University College, popularly referred to as UC, is a constituent college of the University of Toronto, created in 1853 specifically as an institution of higher learning free of religious affiliation. It was the founding member of the university's modern collegiate system, and its non-denominationalism contrasted with contemporary colleges at the time, such as Trinity College and St. Michael's College, both of which later became part of the University of Toronto.University College is one of two places in the University of Toronto that has been designated a National Historic Site of Canada, along with Annesley Hall of Victoria College. It is home to the oldest student government in Canada, the Literary and Athletic Society.

The Institute for Christian Studies (ICS or ICS Toronto) is a private, graduate-level Christian theological and philosophical school in Toronto, Ontario. At ICS Toronto, students and faculty take part in shared learning through participatory seminars, mentoring, and an inter-disciplinary approach to study. There are several unrelated institutions bearing the same name.

The University of Toronto Faculty of Arts and Science (A&S) is the largest academic division of the University of Toronto and its primary undergraduate faculty on the St. George campus in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is the most academically diverse division of the university, offering a large variety of programs in a broad range of subjects. The faculty is composed of seven affiliated colleges: Innis, New, St. Michael's, Trinity, University, Victoria, and Woodsworth. With more than 31,000 undergraduate and 4,700 graduate students, the Faculty of Arts and Science makes up over one third of the university's student population as a whole. The faculty is nearly as old as the university itself, beginning as the Faculty of Arts during the University of Toronto's inauguration in 1843. One of its founding colleges, Victoria University, predates the official opening of the university. The Faculty of Arts and Science represents over half of the student population on the St. George campus; it hosts 64 per cent of its undergraduates and about one third of graduates who pursue degrees in the humanities, social sciences and sciences. It has 800 professors who teach some 2,000 courses arranged in more than 400 undergraduate and 150 graduate programs hosted by 29 departments, 49 centres and institutes. In partnership with the School of Graduate Studies, the faculty hosts graduate programs offered on all three University of Toronto campuses.
