Bishop's Meadow

Loughborough Meadows is a 60.5 hectares (149 acres) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest on the northern outskirts of Loughborough in Leicestershire, England. An area of 35.3 hectares (87 acres) is managed as a nature reserve by the Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust.This is the largest area of unimproved alluvial flood meadow in the county, and wet areas are dominated by creeping bent and marsh foxtail. A brook has large areas of marsh foxtail, and there is a field with breeding lapwings and redshanks.There is public access to the site.

The Loughborough Canal and Boat Festival was an annual event that was held in Loughborough, England, every year from 1997 to 2014, every year since except for 2001 due to that year's foot and mouth crisis. The Canal and Boat festival was started as part of a campaign by the Loughborough Echo in 1997 to draw attention to redevelopment plans which would have involved the infilling of part of the Canal System. The plans by Charnwood Borough Council were subsequently abandoned. The festival was centred on a location known as Chain Bridge in Loughborough. This point is the intersection of the Loughborough Navigation, the Leicester Navigation and Loughborough Wharf of the Grand Union Canal. The fair typically ran for the first weekend in May of each year and attracted boaters from around the country, many arriving a week earlier to secure moorings. During the weekend there were various stalls providing food, drink, music, entertainment and demonstrations. On the Saturday night the boats were illuminated. The festival was the largest to be held in the Midlands with approximately 10,000 people attending.

The Church of St. James is a parish church in the village of Normanton on Soar, Nottinghamshire. The Church was designated as a Grade I listed building on 13 October 1966, for being "of exceptional interest".

Rosebery Primary School was a primary school in Loughborough, Leicestershire, England. It was opened in 1897 and closed by Leicestershire Local Authority in 2006, despite a protracted battle between the local community and the local government. In March 2007, the school was Grade II listed as having notable historical importance. The listing protects it from demolition and insensitive development. The building and grounds were sold by auction on 20 June 2007 for £875,000, and planning proposals were submitted in October 2007

Limehurst Academy (formerly Limehurst High School) is a mixed secondary school located in Loughborough in the English county of Leicestershire.It was previously a community middle school called Limehurst High School which was administered by Leicestershire County Council. The school converted to academy status in September 2011 and was renamed Limehurst Academy, however the school continues to coordinate with Leicestershire County Council for admissions. In September 2013 Limehurst Academy converted from being a middle school for pupils aged 11 to 14 to a secondary school for pupils up to the age of 16.Limehurst Academy offers GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for pupils, as well as some vocational courses offered in conjunction with Loughborough College. The school also has a specialism in sports and has links with local sports clubs and coaches to support the specialism.

St Mary's Church or St Mary of the Annunciation Church is a Roman Catholic parish church in Loughborough, Leicestershire, England. It was built in 1834 in the neoclassical style and has been served by the Rosminians since 1841, it was their first church in the UK, and outside of Italy. It is located opposite the junction of Ashby Road and Radmoor Road to the west of the town centre. It is a Grade II listed building.

Stanford Viaduct is a railway viaduct in Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire. It is named after the nearby village of Stanford on Soar. Built as part of the Great Central Railway's London Extension opened in 1899, it carried the Great Central Main Line over the River Soar and a road (Meadow Lane). It was built out of blue brick by the contractor, Henry Lovatt of Wolverhampton. The three central arches are skewed to allow the Soar to pass underneath. When the rest of the GCML was closed in the 1960s, the section from Loughborough South Junction was kept open as a branch of the Midland Main Line to the British Gypsum works at East Leake. Currently, the viaduct is not used by gypsum trains, or the heritage trains of the Nottingham Heritage Railway.

Burleigh Fields in Loughborough, England was the home of the Johnson family from the 18th century until 1867. There are differing views as to exactly when the house was built, with some saying 1718 and others 1768.

Normanton on Soar (), formerly known as Normanton-upon-Soar and known locally as Normanton, is a village and civil parish in the Rushcliffe district of Nottinghamshire, England near the River Soar. This historic village is home to one of the last operating chain ferries in the country, the only lived in cruck building in Nottinghamshire and a 13th-century Grade I listed parish Church.

At the 2021 census the town's built-up area had a population of 64,884, the second largest in the county after Leicester. Loughborough is close to the Nottinghamshire border and short distances from Leicester, Nottingham, East Midlands Airport, and Derby. It has the world's largest bell foundry, John Taylor Bellfounders, which produced Great Paul at St Paul's Cathedral, as well as making bells for the Carillon War Memorial, a landmark in the Queens Park in the town, and for York Minster.
