St Mary's Church or St Mary of the Annunciation Church is a Roman Catholic parish church in Loughborough, Leicestershire, England. It was built in 1834 in the neoclassical style and has been served by the Rosminians since 1841, it was their first church in the UK, and outside of Italy. It is located opposite the junction of Ashby Road and Radmoor Road to the west of the town centre. It is a Grade II listed building.

Rosebery Primary School was a primary school in Loughborough, Leicestershire, England. It was opened in 1897 and closed by Leicestershire Local Authority in 2006, despite a protracted battle between the local community and the local government. In March 2007, the school was Grade II listed as having notable historical importance. The listing protects it from demolition and insensitive development. The building and grounds were sold by auction on 20 June 2007 for £875,000, and planning proposals were submitted in October 2007

The Loughborough Canal and Boat Festival was an annual event that was held in Loughborough, England, every year from 1997 to 2014, every year since except for 2001 due to that year's foot and mouth crisis. The Canal and Boat festival was started as part of a campaign by the Loughborough Echo in 1997 to draw attention to redevelopment plans which would have involved the infilling of part of the Canal System. The plans by Charnwood Borough Council were subsequently abandoned. The festival was centred on a location known as Chain Bridge in Loughborough. This point is the intersection of the Loughborough Navigation, the Leicester Navigation and Loughborough Wharf of the Grand Union Canal. The fair typically ran for the first weekend in May of each year and attracted boaters from around the country, many arriving a week earlier to secure moorings. During the weekend there were various stalls providing food, drink, music, entertainment and demonstrations. On the Saturday night the boats were illuminated. The festival was the largest to be held in the Midlands with approximately 10,000 people attending.

Loughborough Carillon, locally known as the Carillon Tower, is a carillon tower and war memorial in Loughborough, England. It is in Queen's Park, and is a well-known landmark, visible from several miles away. It is 152 feet (46 m) high. Plans were finalised in 1919 and when completed in 1923 it was the first four-octave carillon in England, the concept being associated with Belgium where so many British servicemen lost their lives during the 1914–1918 Great War. The Carillon was designed by Sir Walter Tapper, and is now grade II listed. The carillon has 47 bells, all of which were cast at John Taylor Bell Foundry in Loughborough. The carillon was built by William Moss and Sons Ltd of Loughborough. The dedication was held on Sunday 22 July 1923, led by Theodore Woods, Bishop of Peterborough, and Field-Marshal William Robertson. The carillon was played by city carillonneur Jef Denyn, and the service included a piece Memorial Chimes composed by Edward Elgar for the occasion - the manuscript of which, donated to Charnwood Borough Council in the 1950s, was rediscovered in 2012.There are recitals every Thursday (1300 till 1400) and Sunday (1300 till 1400) throughout the summer. The Carillon is a grade II listed building.

The Brush Ground was a cricket ground in Loughborough, Leicestershire. Owned by the Brush Electrical Machines Company and used by the company cricket team, it was used as an outground by Leicestershire. They first played there in a first-class match against Hampshire in the 1953 County Championship. Leicestershire played there at least once a year (with the exception of 1964) until 1965, playing sixteen first-class matches. The ground was later purchased by Leicestershire County Council in 2017, with the ground redeveloped for residential purposes. The sports club moved to new premises three–times the size Nanpantan Road in Loughborough.

Loughborough ( LUF-bə-rə) is a market town in the Charnwood Borough of Leicestershire, England, the seat of Charnwood Borough Council, and the location of Loughborough University. At the 2021 census the town's built-up area had a population of 64,884, the second largest in the county after Leicester. Loughborough is close to the Nottinghamshire border and short distances from Leicester, Nottingham, East Midlands Airport, and Derby. It has the world's largest bell foundry, John Taylor Bellfounders, which produced Great Paul at St Paul's Cathedral, as well as making bells for the Carillon War Memorial, a landmark in the Queens Park in the town, and for York Minster.

Limehurst Academy (formerly Limehurst High School) is a mixed secondary school located in Loughborough in the English county of Leicestershire.It was previously a community middle school called Limehurst High School which was administered by Leicestershire County Council. The school converted to academy status in September 2011 and was renamed Limehurst Academy, however the school continues to coordinate with Leicestershire County Council for admissions. In September 2013 Limehurst Academy converted from being a middle school for pupils aged 11 to 14 to a secondary school for pupils up to the age of 16.Limehurst Academy offers GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for pupils, as well as some vocational courses offered in conjunction with Loughborough College. The school also has a specialism in sports and has links with local sports clubs and coaches to support the specialism.

The College Ground was a cricket ground based in the town of Loughborough, Leicestershire. Initially the ground was a playing field of the Loughborough Technical Institute, which was formed in 1909. First-class cricket was played at the ground twice in 1928 and 1929, with Leicestershire using the ground as an outground against Derbyshire in the 1928 County Championship and Glamorgan in the 1929 County Championship. Following the merger of the Loughborough College of Technology, Loughborough College of Education and Loughborough Training College and Loughborough College of Art and Design into The Union of Loughborough Colleges and subsequent application for university status by the College of Technology, there was a need for a permanent base for the Loughborough Students' Union. Land occupied by the College Ground was identified, with the Student Union building being constructed on it in 1979.
