St Mary's Church or St Mary of the Annunciation Church is a Roman Catholic parish church in Loughborough, Leicestershire, England. It was built in 1834 in the neoclassical style and has been served by the Rosminians since 1841, it was their first church in the UK, and outside of Italy. It is located opposite the junction of Ashby Road and Radmoor Road to the west of the town centre. It is a Grade II listed building.

The Loughborough Canal and Boat Festival was an annual event that was held in Loughborough, England, every year from 1997 to 2014, every year since except for 2001 due to that year's foot and mouth crisis. The Canal and Boat festival was started as part of a campaign by the Loughborough Echo in 1997 to draw attention to redevelopment plans which would have involved the infilling of part of the Canal System. The plans by Charnwood Borough Council were subsequently abandoned. The festival was centred on a location known as Chain Bridge in Loughborough. This point is the intersection of the Loughborough Navigation, the Leicester Navigation and Loughborough Wharf of the Grand Union Canal. The fair typically ran for the first weekend in May of each year and attracted boaters from around the country, many arriving a week earlier to secure moorings. During the weekend there were various stalls providing food, drink, music, entertainment and demonstrations. On the Saturday night the boats were illuminated. The festival was the largest to be held in the Midlands with approximately 10,000 people attending.

Rosebery Primary School was a primary school in Loughborough, Leicestershire, England. It was opened in 1897 and closed by Leicestershire Local Authority in 2006, despite a protracted battle between the local community and the local government. In March 2007, the school was Grade II listed as having notable historical importance. The listing protects it from demolition and insensitive development. The building and grounds were sold by auction on 20 June 2007 for £875,000, and planning proposals were submitted in October 2007

Limehurst Academy (formerly Limehurst High School) is a mixed secondary school located in Loughborough in the English county of Leicestershire.It was previously a community middle school called Limehurst High School which was administered by Leicestershire County Council. The school converted to academy status in September 2011 and was renamed Limehurst Academy, however the school continues to coordinate with Leicestershire County Council for admissions. In September 2013 Limehurst Academy converted from being a middle school for pupils aged 11 to 14 to a secondary school for pupils up to the age of 16.Limehurst Academy offers GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for pupils, as well as some vocational courses offered in conjunction with Loughborough College. The school also has a specialism in sports and has links with local sports clubs and coaches to support the specialism.

Loughborough Carillon, locally known as the Carillon Tower, is a carillon tower and war memorial in Loughborough, England. It is in Queen's Park, and is a well-known landmark, visible from several miles away. It is 152 feet (46 m) high. Plans were finalised in 1919 and when completed in 1923 it was the first four-octave carillon in England, the concept being associated with Belgium where so many British servicemen lost their lives during the 1914–1918 Great War. The Carillon was designed by Sir Walter Tapper, and is now grade II listed. The carillon has 47 bells, all of which were cast at John Taylor Bell Foundry in Loughborough. The carillon was built by William Moss and Sons Ltd of Loughborough. The dedication was held on Sunday 22 July 1923, led by Theodore Woods, Bishop of Peterborough, and Field-Marshal William Robertson. The carillon was played by city carillonneur Jef Denyn, and the service included a piece Memorial Chimes composed by Edward Elgar for the occasion - the manuscript of which, donated to Charnwood Borough Council in the 1950s, was rediscovered in 2012.There are recitals every Thursday (1300 till 1400) and Sunday (1300 till 1400) throughout the summer. The Carillon is a grade II listed building.

Loughborough is close to the Nottinghamshire border and short distances from Leicester, Nottingham, East Midlands Airport, and Derby. It has the world's largest bell foundry, John Taylor Bellfounders, which produced Great Paul at St Paul's Cathedral, as well as making bells for the Carillon War Memorial, a landmark in the Queens Park in the town, and for York Minster.

The Sockman (commissioned as The Sock) is a bronze statue in Loughborough town centre. The sculpture depicts a man seated on a bollard, naked except for the eponymous sock on his left foot. The sock is symbolic of Loughborough's hosiery industry, and the plinth is engraved with images of the town's history. The piece has become iconic, and is used as a symbol for Loughborough.

The Loughborough Town Hall is a building fronting onto the Market Place in Loughborough, Leicestershire, England. Built as a corn exchange and ballroom in 1855, it later became a municipal building and subsequently a theatre. It is a Grade II listed building. The building is still used for full council meetings of Charnwood Borough Council.
