Oak Hill is an unincorporated community and collection of neighborhoods located in southwest Austin, Texas.

KAZI (88.7 FM) is a listener-supported, non-commercial community radio station in Austin, Texas, United States. The transmitter site is located in Southwest Austin and the station has studios in Northeast Austin. It is owned by Austin Community Radio, Inc., a Texas non-profit entity founded April 22, 1975.

Westlake High School is a public high school in unincorporated territory of Travis County, Texas, west of and adjacent to Austin. The school is a part of the Eanes Independent School District. Westlake High School is the only high school in the Eanes ISD and serves West Lake Hills, Rollingwood, parts of Southwest Austin, as well as parts of unincorporated Travis County. The school was established in 1969 and opened in 1970. In 2011, Westlake was ranked 72 on Newsweek magazine's list of America's best high schools. In 2012, Westlake was #160 in the Newsweek poll. In 2013, Westlake was #93 and in 2014, it was #117.In high school rankings by The Washington Post, Westlake was #136 in 2014 and 2013. In 2012, it was #106 in The Washington Post poll, #59 in 2011, and #52 in 2010.

Barton Creek is a census-designated place (CDP) in Travis County, Texas, United States. As of the 2010 census, the CDP population was 3,077. Barton Creek is ranked second in Texas based on per capita income.

The Barton Creek Greenbelt located in Austin, Texas is managed by the City of Austin's Park and Recreation Department. The Greenbelt is a 7.25-mile (11.67 km) stretch of public land that begins at Zilker Park and stretches South/Southwest to the final section commonly referred to as "The Hill of Life" which ends in the Woods of Westlake subdivision. The Barton Creek Greenbelt consists of three areas: the Lower Greenbelt, the Upper Greenbelt, and the Barton Creek Wilderness Park and is characterized by large limestone cliffs, dense foliage, and shallow bodies of water.

Las Cimas (Spanish: "Summit" or "Top") is an office complex in unincorporated Travis County, Texas, between Austin and West Lake Hills. The buildings, southwest of Downtown Austin, are about 300 yards (270 m) south of the southwest corner of Las Cimas Parkway and Texas State Highway Loop 360 (Capital of Texas Highway). It previously housed the headquarters of Dell and American Campus Communities.Las Cimas II and III are owned by Spear Street Capital.

Barton Creek Square is an enclosed shopping mall located in southwest Austin, Texas in the United States, near the intersection of Texas State Highway Loop 1 and Texas State Highway Loop 360. The mall is eponymously named after Barton Creek, Texas. Anchor stores are two Dillard's locations, JCPenney, Macy's, and Nordstrom.

Lost Creek is an affluent upper-middle-class neighborhood and census-designated place (CDP) of approximately 4,500 people in Travis County, Texas, United States. The census tract is bordered by Capital of Texas Highway to the east, Barton Creek to the south, Barton Creek Boulevard to the west, and Bee Caves Road to the north. The Lost Creek CDP encompasses several small neighborhoods—Parkstone, Woods of Westlake, Camelot, and Knollwood—as well as the largest and most populous Lost Creek neighborhood. The neighborhood is named after a secluded section of Barton Creek away from more popular portions downstream that include Barton Springs and Zilker Park. Suburban residential development began in the late 1970s and continued for over three decades. Lost Creek is almost completely built-out. Lost Creek also encompasses a commercial area bordering Bee Caves Road and Capital of Texas Highway. Businesses occupying these buildings include Capital One Bank, Wells Fargo Bank, and Apple Inc. Lost Creek was annexed by the City of Austin in December 2015.

Sunset Valley is a city in Travis County, Texas. The population was 749 at the time of the 2010 census. An enclave, it is surrounded on all sides by the city of Austin.

The Andrew M. Cox Ranch Site is a historic collection of ruined buildings and structures in Austin, Texas, United States. The site is located on either side of Barton Creek near the intersection of Loop 360 and the Mopac Expressway. It included a small collection of wall enclosures (no habitable buildings remain onsite) and wagon tracks in the native limestone.The site was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

Trinity Episcopal School is a K-8 independent co-ed day school in Austin, Texas. The school was founded in 1999 in a rented blue house near the University of Texas campus. Since that inaugural year, the school has grown from 13 students to more than 500, moved to a 15-acre (61,000 m2) campus in West Lake Hills and built six buildings. Trinity Episcopal School is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest and the Southwestern Association of Episcopal Schools.

St. Michael's Catholic Academy is a private college preparatory high school in Barton Creek, a community in unincorporated Travis County, Texas (Greater Austin), with an enrollment of approximately 360 students in grades 9-12. It is within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Austin and has an "Austin, Texas" postal address. St. Michael's requires the student to have at least 26 hours before graduating, including one year of a fine arts and one year of athletic credits. St. Michael's students gain admission to colleges such as the United States Military Academy, Princeton University, Stanford University, Vanderbilt University, Texas A&M University, University of Texas, Southern Methodist University, Reed College, University of Notre Dame, Emory University, Washington University in St. Louis, and Rice University, and is considered one of the most reputable academic institutions in the Austin area. The student to teacher to ratio is approximately 8 to 1, and the mean ACT Composite is 26.6. In 2015 and 2016, St. Michael's won the Class 4A Henderson Cup, awarded by the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) for excellence in Academics, Fine Arts, and Athletics. In 2016, St. Michael's won four state championships: Academics, Women's Tennis, Women's Cross Country, and Men's Track & Field. In athletics, St. Michael's has achieved unparalleled success, with more than 30 state championships in 34 years of existence. Many former St. Michael's student-athletes have played, or are now playing, Division 1 sports at the college level including football, baseball, basketball, track and field, golf, volleyball, cross country, baseball, and soccer.
