Las Cimas (Spanish: "Summit" or "Top") is an office complex in unincorporated Travis County, Texas, between Austin and West Lake Hills. The buildings, southwest of Downtown Austin, are about 300 yards (270 m) south of the southwest corner of Las Cimas Parkway and Texas State Highway Loop 360 (Capital of Texas Highway). It previously housed the headquarters of Dell and American Campus Communities.Las Cimas II and III are owned by Spear Street Capital.

Barton Creek is a census-designated place (CDP) in Travis County, Texas, United States. As of the 2010 census, the CDP population was 3,077. Barton Creek is ranked second in Texas based on per capita income.

KAZI (88.7 FM) is a listener-supported, non-commercial community radio station in Austin, Texas, United States. The transmitter site is located in Southwest Austin and the station has studios in Northeast Austin. It is owned by Austin Community Radio, Inc., a Texas non-profit entity founded April 22, 1975.

Wild Basin Wilderness Preserve consists of 227 acres (919,000 m2) of native Texas Hill Country habitat west of Austin, Texas in West Lake Hills. The preserve was founded in 1974 by seven women who were members of an environmentalist group called Now or Never, and it was Austin's first nature preserve. The preserve maintains 2.5 miles (4 km) of hiking trails.

KUT (90.5 FM) is a listener-supported and corporate-sponsored public radio station based in Austin, Texas. KUT is owned and operated by faculty and staff of the University of Texas at Austin. It is the National Public Radio member station for central Texas. Its studio operations are located on campus at the Belo Center for New Media. KUT is one of three radio outlets based on UT campus alongside student-run KVRX 91.7 FM and KUTX 98.9 FM. KUT's main transmitter broadcasts with an effective radiated power of 100,000 watts and is located 8 miles west of Downtown Austin at the University of Texas Bee Cave Research Center. KUT is licensed to broadcast in the digital hybrid HD format. A second station, KUTX, serving San Angelo at 90.1 MHz, was sold to Texas Tech University in 2010 in part because Angelo State University had become part of the Texas Tech University System. The call letters were changed from KUTX to KNCH. The KUTX call letters were moved to KUT's repeater station in Somerville, broadcasting to the Bryan/College Station area on 88.1 FM. On August 23, 2012, the UT System Board of Regents voted to move forward to purchase KXBT-FM 98.9 FM (Leander/Austin) from Border Media Business Trust. On January 2, 2013, KXBT became KUTX, creating an Austin-based sister station for KUT. At that time, KUT adopted an all-news/talk format utilizing programming from NPR, the BBC, PRI and others. The music programming formerly heard on KUT was moved to KUTX to create a full-time music service, primarily an eclectic mix of alt pop/rock, folk, Americana, bluegrass, jazz, blues supplemented by specialty programs including Twine Time, Folkways, Across the Water (Celtic music), and Horizontes (Latin music).

St. Michael's Catholic Academy is a private college preparatory high school in Barton Creek, a community in unincorporated Travis County, Texas (Greater Austin), with an enrollment of approximately 360 students in grades 9-12. It is within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Austin and has an "Austin, Texas" postal address. St. Michael's requires the student to have at least 26 hours before graduating, including one year of a fine arts and one year of athletic credits. In 2016, St. Michael's won four state championships: Academics, Women's Tennis, Women's Cross Country, and Men's Track & Field. Westlake High School is a public high school in unincorporated territory of Travis County, Texas, west of and adjacent to Austin. The school is a part of the Eanes Independent School District. Westlake High School is the only high school in the Eanes ISD and serves West Lake Hills, Rollingwood, parts of Southwest Austin, as well as parts of unincorporated Travis County. The school was established in 1969 and opened in 1970. In 2011, Westlake was ranked 72 on Newsweek magazine's list of America's best high schools. In 2012, Westlake was #160 in the Newsweek poll. In 2013, Westlake was #93 and in 2014, it was #117.In high school rankings by The Washington Post, Westlake was #136 in 2014 and 2013. In 2012, it was #106 in The Washington Post poll, #59 in 2011, and #52 in 2010.

Trinity Episcopal School is a K-8 independent co-ed day school in Austin, Texas. The school was founded in 1999 in a rented blue house near the University of Texas campus. Since that inaugural year, the school has grown from 13 students to more than 500, moved to a 15-acre (61,000 m2) campus in West Lake Hills and built six buildings. Trinity Episcopal School is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest and the Southwestern Association of Episcopal Schools.

West Lake Hills (locally referred to as "Westlake") is a city in Travis County, Texas, United States. The population was 3,444 at the 2020 census. The city developed rapidly in the 1970s and 1980s on the south side of the Colorado River. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.7 square miles (9.6 km2). It is a suburb of Austin, located just west of central Austin.

Regents School of Austin is a private, classical, non-denominational Christian school located in Austin, Texas.

Emma Long Metropolitan Park is a large municipal park in northwest Austin, Texas (United States). The park is on the shores of Lake Austin and was originally called City Park. The park features open space, camp sites, boat ramps, picnic table sites and a designating swimming area.In 1939, Civilian Conservation Corps Company 1805 that had just finished Bastrop State Park moved to the site to begin developing the tract of land into a municipal park. The company's primary work included seeding and sodding grass, planting trees, and protecting the bank of the lake from erosion. They built docks, piers and a boathouse. They also built a wooden bath house and concession stand. These wooden structures burned and were replaced with stone structures that are still in use. In 1984, the Austin City Council renamed the park after Emma Long, a former Austin City Council Member. Long was the first woman to serve on the council of a large city in Texas. She also served as the first woman Mayor Pro Tem from 1967-1969.

St. Stephen's Episcopal School is a private coeducational preparatory boarding and day school in Austin, Texas. Enrollment for the 2019-20 academic year is approximately 694, with 487 students in grades 9–12 and 207 in grades 6–8. Of the school's 694 students, 523 are day students and 171 are boarding students. The school's campus overlooks Lake Austin and is spread across 370 acres (1.5 km2) of the Texas Hill Country.
