The Lustron Home No. 02102 is an historic enameled steel prefabricated Lustron house located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.In 2004 it was deemed significant as one out of just nine surviving Lustron Homes installed in Cedar Rapids, and out of 143 installed in Iowa. Per the NRHP nominating document, it is "an example of the Lustron Corporation's innovative contributions to the prefabricated housing industry and its efforts to incorporate modem architecture and the latest domestic technologies into the lives of everyday Americans.": 8 

The Cedar Rapids Community School District (CRCSD) is a public school district located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It has the second largest enrollment in the state of Iowa. The district has 21 elementary schools, 6 middle schools, 3 high schools, and 1 alternative high school.The district is in Linn County. In addition to most of Cedar Rapids it serves Hiawatha, most of Robins, and Palo.

Kingston Stadium is a football stadium in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Kingston Stadium is located southwest of downtown Cedar Rapids, adjacent to Veterans Memorial Stadium and ImOn Ice Arena. Opened September 12, 1952, it was named for a settlement called Kingston established in 1839 on the west side of the Cedar River which was later annexed into Cedar Rapids.In 2019, Kingston Stadium underwent three-months of renovations at a cost of $2 million. Upgrades included new turf, improved ADA compliant bleachers, and an eighth track lane allowing for state qualifying meets. The north bleachers were demolished and replaced with a grassy hillside.

The ImOn Ice Arena is a 3,850-seat multipurpose arena in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, located adjacent to Veterans Memorial Stadium. The arena opened on January 8, 2000, and is owned by the city of Cedar Rapids. It is home to the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders of the United States Hockey League as well as several local youth hockey teams. The University of Iowa Hawkeyes club hockey team plays some of their home games at the facility. The arena contains separate sheets of ice for ice hockey games and for public and figure ice skating. ImOn Communications purchased naming rights to the arena from the city through 2024.The arena serves as the home ice for the Eastern Iowa Figure Skating Club, a US Figure Skating club. For the 2012 and 2013 seasons, it was the temporary home to the Cedar Rapids Titans indoor football team as the U.S. Cellular Center, where they started playing in 2014 and beyond, was being renovated. The arena contains two sheets of ice. One sheet is Olympic regulation (200 by 100 feet (61 by 30 m)), and the other is NHL regulation (200 by 85 feet (61 by 26 m)). Public skating, youth hockey, and figure skating events take place on both sheets of ice, whereas larger events, such as RoughRider games, are held on the NHL sheet of ice. The arena was severely damaged by a derecho storm which hit Cedar Rapids on August 10, 2020. The RoughRiders hockey team announced on September 18, 2020 that they would not participate in the 2020-2021 USHL season, because of the damage to the arena. Repair costs, initially estimated at $4 million, were reported in January 2021 to have risen to "the $6-million range."

Veterans Memorial Stadium is a minor league baseball stadium in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It is the home field of the Cedar Rapids Kernels of the High-A Central. It is often called New Veterans Memorial Stadium to distinguish it from the original Veterans Memorial Stadium, which existed from 1949 to 2001.

The Philip A. Wolff House and Carriage House, also known as Belmont Hill, is a historic building located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States. An Ohio native, Wolff lived in several states and the West Indies before settling in Maquoketa, Iowa. He moved to Cedar Rapids where he established a brickworks with his son. Wolff had this two-story vernacular Italianate house and accompanying carriage house built in 1883 with bricks made at his business, which was on the same grounds. At the time it was built, the house was located in a suburban area of Cedar Rapids. This was during a period of economic growth for the city. The house features paired brackets under the eaves, the windows have brick arches above and limestone sills, a three-sided, two-story bay, and a projecting center pavilion. The carriage house is architecturally similar to the main house. They were listed together on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Hamilton College was the DBA name of the Iowa College Acquisition Corporation, a company that owns and operates independent for-profit colleges. Hamilton College had seven campuses in Iowa and Nebraska. Iowa College Acquisition Corporation is owned and operated by Kaplan Higher Education, a subsidiary of the Washington Post Company. This is not to be confused with Hamilton Technical College that was founded by Maryanne Hamilton and operates in Davenport, Iowa. Hamilton College was originally established by Ward Hamilton in Mason City, Iowa, in 1900 as a business school. This makes it the oldest continuously operating college in the state of Iowa specializing in business education. In 1980, Hamilton opened a campus in Cedar Rapids. A third campus was established in Des Moines in 1988. In 1998, Hamilton College was purchased by Quest Education Corporation, which was acquired in 2000 by Kaplan, Inc. and renamed Kaplan Higher Education Corporation. Shortly thereafter the Nebraska College of Business and the Lincoln School of Commerce, also owned by Quest, were renamed Hamilton College-Omaha and Hamilton College-Lincoln respectively. Hamilton College continued to expand, adding campuses in Cedar Falls in 2000 and Council Bluffs in 2004. In November 2007, Hamilton College officially changed its name to Kaplan University.

Iowa State Highway Commission, District 6 Building, also known as Iowa Department of Transportation building, is a historic building located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States. It is significant for its association with the Iowa Highway Commission and its role developing policy and designing and implementing highway construction projects. It is also significant for its association with the New Deal program, the Public Works Administration. Completed in 1939, it was utilized by the Iowa Department of Transportation from then until 2012. U.S. Highway 30 (US 30) aligned with 16th Ave., SW in front the building from c. 1939 until it was aligned again in 1953 to bypass Cedar Rapids. US 30 had its origins in the Lincoln Highway, which followed a different route through the city. The architect of the building in unknown. It is a two-story brick structure built over a basement. Neoclassicism is found in its highly ordered symmetry and its decorative elements, especially the restrained fluted pilasters and rectangular spandrels. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017.

The Shores-Mueller Company is a historic building located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States. The original section of the building was completed in 1911. Its construction utilized the Turner Cap system, which is a concrete flat-slab support system. It features concrete floors that are more than 1 foot (0.30 m) thick and are supported by large concrete columns with concrete caps. The building housed the catalog company Shores-Mueller, which produced, packaged, and sold a variety of household and farm products from here. Two additions were built on to the original structure, the last being in 1969. The building is three-stories, constructed in brick, and lacking in ornamentation. Tom Erger, Devonna Wood, and Mike Pitzen acquired the building in 2005 and renovated it into the Shores Central Park, which hosts a variety of functions. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2020.

The Cedar Rapids Pump Company Factory and Warehouse are two historic buildings located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States. The company began in 1881. They manufactured and distributed water pumps and windmills throughout the Midwest from this facility from 1884 to 1929. They completed the first floor of the factory building along the Chicago and North Western Railroad tracks in 1884. The second floor was added to the building around 1894, and in 1901 the warehouse building was completed. The Cedar Rapids Community School District used both buildings for storage from 1974 to about 2008. The buildings were affected by the 2008 flood. The two-story brick factory building features a monitor roof, and is otherwise "purely utilitarian in appearance with no particular stylistic or decorative tendency." The warehouse is also two-stories, constructed in brick, and lacking in ornamentation. The buildings were listed together on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

Grant Vocational High School, also known as the Board of Education and the Cedar Rapids School District Central Office, is a historic building located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States. Completed in 1915, this is a rare example of a vocational high school in Iowa as only a handful were ever built. While it offered various student activities in athletics and the arts, its curriculum was based on the manual arts instead of humanities or college preparatory courses. A Progressive Era idea, vocational education began in Cedar Rapids in 1904. Within a year there was a call for a dedicated vocational high school. There was much debate as the local school district's regular high school was beyond capacity and there was a need for new elementary schools. Efforts to build the school began with the passage of a bond referendum in 1911. Cedar Rapids architect William J. Brown designed the three-story, brick Prairie School structure and it was built by the F.P. Gould Company of Omaha. While the school started strong, it soon failed to live up to expectations as vocational education was expensive to operate and enrollment was voluntary. Because the building is not unlike a regular high school, it was converted to that purpose in 1924. In 1936 Cedar Rapids experienced another round of school construction and Grant was converted into an office building for the school district. It served that purpose until 2008. The building now houses commercial enterprises. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.
