Parkrose Heights is a neighborhood in the Northeast section of Portland, Oregon. The neighborhood is covered by the Argay-Parkrose Neighborhood Emergency Team for earthquake preparedness.Parkrose Heights is bordered by Woodland Park and Madison South to the west, Maywood Park to the northwest, Parkrose to the north, Argay Terrace to the northeast, Russell to the west, and Hazelwood to the south.

Woodland Park Hospital was a medical facility in Portland, Oregon, United States. Opened in 1962, the for profit hospital was known for its cosmetic surgery. Towards the end of its existence, the hospital received national attention when staff was forced to call 9-1-1 for a medical emergency, and the hospital then closed in 2006.

Parkrose High School is a public high school in Portland, Oregon, United States. It is the only high school in the Parkrose School District.

John Luby Park is a 10.42-acre (4.22 ha) public park in the Russell neighborhood of northeastern Portland, Oregon, United States. The park was acquired in 1985.

Woodland Park is an exclusively residential neighborhood in the Northeast section of Portland, Oregon. It borders Madison South on the west (beyond the I-84 and I-205 freeways), Parkrose Heights on the north and east, and Hazelwood on the south. It is roughly between NE 99th and 102nd, and NE Halsey and NE Tillamook. Woodland Park has no schools, parks, or businesses. It has the smallest area of Portland's 95 officially recognized neighborhoods.

Multnomah County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue (MCSO SAR) is a non-profit volunteer search and rescue resource for the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office in Multnomah County, Oregon, United States. The agency also offers its 3,000-5,000 hours of volunteer service to other areas, including Clackamas, Columbia, Washington, Marion, Hood River, Wasco, Tillamook, and Clatsop counties in Oregon, and Skamania and Clark counties in Washington. The organization was first created in 1961 in cooperation with the Boy Scouts of America, and is one of the longest continually used Explorer Search and Rescue units in the United States. In 1986, sponsorship of the MCSO SAR was transferred to the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office. MCSO SAR is part of the Mount Hood Search and Rescue Council. MCSO receives funding from the Department of Homeland Security within the Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) to create a regional resource.

Parkrose is a neighborhood in the Northeast section of Portland, Oregon, and is considered part of East Portland. It is bordered by Sumner to the west, the Columbia River to the north, Argay to the east, and Parkrose Heights and the city of Maywood Park to the south. Sandy Boulevard crosses the neighborhood, with a primarily industrial area prevailing to the north and primarily residential area to the south. There is a Parkrose/Sumner Transit Center, which is served by the Red Line of TriMet's MAX Light Rail. A bridge at the transit center spans Interstate 205. C-Tran serves the transit center and travels into Washington. There is also a Parkrose School District.

Gateway Green is a 25 acres (10 ha) park in northeast Portland, Oregon, known for catering to off-road cyclists.It is located between Interstate 205 and Interstate 84 on the former site of the Rocky Butte county jail. The park opened June 2017, but construction to further expand the park began March 2020 is expected to be complete by November 2020.
